Longer than advertised. Several stops to load and unload on either end of trip. Bus was reasonably comfortable. Driver spoke very broken English so details provided along the way were foggy. Ferry is large and comfortable with nice shops and restaurants. Very good value overall.
We were not aware that we must get down the moment announcement shows up and missed the bus. Had to pay extra for my cab to reach to the bus station and get my luggage.
However the support was great.
Response from Host, Sep 2026
Sorry to hear you missed the announcement, but we're so happy to have reunited you with your luggage!
The coach was fine but disappointed with food choices on the ferry were lacking compared to past experiences.
Response from Host, Sep 2026
Thanks for the great review of our bus! We are not in charge of the food on BC Ferries.
Our driver Ed was skillful and funny for our trip. We really enjoyed his clear communication with the riders.
Usually good service - but airport attendant at desk tone of voice was like we were interrupting her when we tried to check in. Ride to ferry terminal fine but coach we were to transfer onto was very late and coach was not first to load ferry (not first off) but almost last. Worried we were going to miss ferry to Victoria completely. Shuttle driver unloaded us and said your coach was coming ; he said he has to load passengers getting off ferry to go to Vancouver Airport. Were we going to be left behind or stranded at ferry terminal? All for women drivers but passengers were loading luggage onto coach and off loading it in Victoria. Bus was packed- looked like every seat taken. Coach speaker not working well or driver didn’t speak well into microphone
Would not recommend this particular experience to anyone. Service was better in other years
A seemless experience. So, worth the money. However, the bus occasionally runs even 40 minutes late not because of the drivers but because they make sure they get the customers. Be patient.
The shuttle to Butchart Gardens was not express, and way too much American History, (we're in Canada, visiting a Canadian attraction) the ride back to town was much better, quick and more relevant information.

Hi Kim! We're sorry to hear you didn't have a good time on your way to the Butchart Gardens. Our company doesn't operate this service- you are probably looking to review "The Butchart Gardens Express Shuttle from Downtown Victoria"
The check-in person was great. However, the bus bathroom was out of service and the worst part our luggage was damaged by the bus driver. He mishandled our luggage resulting in a brand new piece with severe damage. This was the same for other travels. The driver wouldn’t allow anyone to get there bags until he was finished resulting in bags failing over into the street.

The transfer from Vancouver to Victoria was seamless. The driver informed us as to expected stops, and time frames. He kept us informed about luggage arrangements, ferry arrangements, etc in a timely fashion.
The ferry ride was lovely.

Glad you enjoyed!
Easy Peasy. Found the bus at the Central Station in Vancouver. Follow the directions and you will be fine. The bus driver was great. Safe and careful. The bus drives directly onto the ferry. While you are on the ferry you must go upstairs to relax in the boat’s seating. Or you can walk around outside if the weather permits. You board the bus a second time just before you arrive at the port and then the bus drives all of the way to the Fairmont Empress in downtown Victoria. A++ all around. Great safe careful driver.
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you for the A++ review!
Well organised service, got off cruise ship, then a short walk to bus. Tanisha our driver was great.

The meeting point stated Vancouver international airport. Requested mor specific location over 12 hrs in advance but no communication until 2 hrs after we arrived and found the kiosk ourselves!
Pickup bus had no heating
Process was not fully explained as we had to change buses and drop off point not communicated.
However we did get there and caught the ferry okay

generally good. drivers English could use some improvement. some passengers puzzled by instructions on reboarding.
I booked a ticket for the 9.30am bus but when I got there they told me that viator had sold me a ticket although the bus was already fully booked. Luckily I was able to get on the next one (2 hrs later) but if all the buses had been fully booked I wouldn't have been able to use the ticket. Don't use this seller! Buy directly.
Response from Host, May 2026
Hi there! We're sorry there was a mix-up through Viator but so happy we were able to get you on a bus.

Thanks for the awesome review!
Our trip was convenient and comfortable. We were travelling from Ottawa and wanted to visit both Victoria and Vancouver BC. This was a comfortable way to travel between downtown Victoria to downtown Vancouver.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
We're so happy your trip was easy and comfortable!
Viator sent us muliple messages asking us to be 30 minutes early for our bus-ferry-bus trip from Vancouver to Victoria BC. We got there 30 minutes early and waited for over an hour in the cold for the bus to show. Turns out the ferry had been cancelled due to bad weather. Viator never let us know and still haven't refunded us despite the fact I called and asked for a refund. Viator is very good at sending out multiple automated messages including the one to review them - so here I am. I would strongly recommend you not book with Viator since they are disconnected from the services they say they are providing and don't provide updates if there is a problem.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Hi David,
We're so sorry to hear about your experience. As you booked through Viator, we recommend you continue to pursue your refund with them.
If you have any further questions about bus and ferry cancellations, please feel free to reach out to marketing@gowilsonsgroup.com
We weren’t aware that we had an hour wait at the train station. In the off season there are only a few stops so there is a large time gap between pickup and boarding the ferry.
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Hi Scott,
Unfortunately, we can't board an earlier ferry than scheduled, even on a light pickup day when our bus is running early, regardless of the season.
If you have any other questions or concerns, please reach out to marketing@gowilsonsgroup.com
The trip was fine but bus boarding in Vancouver was not as organized as it could be, noted were able to quickly retrieve a item that we thought was lost on the ferry
Response from Host, Oct 2025
We're happy you found your lost item! If you'd like to tell us more about boarding in Vancouver, please email marketing@gowilsonsgroup.com
Nothing to worry about just get on the bus and before you know it are in Victoria. Relaxing boat ride.

Thanks for the great review!
The motor coach/ferry transport was pretty seamless. We checked in at the bus station and boarded at the prescribed time without any problems. Our luggage was handed appropriately and we were off! The ride to the ferry was comfortable and took a little over an hour. The bus drove onto the ferry and we exited the bus to go find seating. The ferry was ride calm and many passenger services were available. We returned to the bus after the announcement was made. Exiting the ferry was just as smooth as boarding. The trip to downtown Victoria was a breeze. The bus driver was super courteous and helpful but very difficult to understand (due to a strong accent). Our group had to ask other passengers for assistance in understanding the spoken information.
Response from Host, Oct 2025
We love being seamless!
Good trip - very smooth with ferry and bus
Was a little hard to understand some of what the driver was saying but understood well enough to be where we needed to be .. a very smooth trip
Response from Host, Oct 2025

This takes about 4 hours. It is cheaper than flying but is at time tireding. It is nice the bus goes on the ferry and is one of the first to keavr.

Thanks for leaving a review!
We left Vancouver without any issues. Sailing on the ferry was good. When we got off the ferry our bus broke down and we had to wait to get another one to collect us. We had limited time to visit Victoria and this lessen it due to our late arrival.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Hi Catherine! We're sorry you were delayed- bus breakdowns are out of our control, but we always do our best to get a replacement out there as soon as possible.
Easy way to get to Victoria! The bus goes right on the ferry, and your luggage is locked in the storage area of the bus. So keep any items you may need for the journey on your person.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
We're always happy to store your larger luggage while you explore the views on BC Ferries!
If you need to transfer from Vancouver to Victoria, would highly recommend this as the way to travel.
The experience of riding the bus you are on going directly on to the ferry without getting off, having your luggage stay locked on the bus while you enjoy the beautiful trip to Victoria and then having an easy bus trip to downtown Victoria was TERRIFIC!
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Thanks for the fantastic review, David!
It was easy getting on the bus to head to the ferry station. And our bus driver was first in line, making it easy for him to get right off. And the ferry ride was enjoyable.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thanks for the great review! The BCFC is always guaranteed first on first off the ferry.
