When booking, kindly provide your mobile number including the prefix, preferably a Whattsapp mobile number. Also note your accommodation details and we will revert with the pick up time and closest pick up point. Kindly ensure you are at the advised pick up point 5 minutes before the agreed time. Our transport company will be holding up a Yippee sign. The transport will drive you to meet the boat or ferry to cross over to Gozo. You will be returned to the original pick up/meeting point at the end of the tour. The pickup locations are determined based on Yippee locations, and once confirmed, instructions are sent via email through Viator or WhatsApp. Clients arriving with the cruise liner, kindly note that the closest pick up is from outside Magazino Hall at 8.00am and you will return approximately at 18.00hrs. Kindly note that you will be receiving a default message from your booking platform containing the WRONG/default pick-up time. The correct pick-up time and location will be sent to you by Yippee office after you book.

This day excursion was excellent. Everything ran very smoothly and driving in the buggy around the island was a joy. Our guide Saif was knowledgeable and easy to talk to...he did an outstanding job. We both thoroughly enjoyed the whole day...would definitely recommend it.

Firstly the pick up location was different from what was sent on WhatsApp and on the Viator App ,luckily I contacted operator while waiting and they sent a live tracker of the pickup vehicle.we moved around the corner and up 300m to the right location.Many different tours loading onto 2 boats from Malta to Gozo, very badly organised at arrival port, we had to get in another van and were transported to a shed on a farm about 10 minutes away. Again organisation here left a lot to be desired and the toilet facilities were appalling. Eventually we got to drive away in our buggy following a convoy of Quad bikes with a guide leading at the front and one at the back. Driving through traffic the convoy was broken by local drivers and we got cut off and another tour picked us up. The brakes on the buggy weren’t great and stopping suddenly wouldn’t have been possible. We encountered a road closure and one of the quad bikes crashed into the bike in front injuring the girl on the back. There were a lot of stops so we got to see some of Gozo but the obligatory stop at the souvenir shop was a bit too much. The provided lunch went in the bin and we just kept the water. This might sound strange but we actually enjoyed the day, my buggy wouldn’t start after one of the stops and I had to pump the brakes and try the ignition again, this happened on the last 3 stops. If there were some improvements made and a bit better organisation this could’ve been an excellent tour but unfortunately it didn’t live up to expectations.

In response to your comments, once our clients complete their booking, we always follow up with clear pick-up instructions, as also stated on the booking platform.
Regarding your concern about organization, please note that the dock is a public area shared with other operators, and we do not have control over how many boats are present at any given time. For this reason, we assign multiple meet-and-greet team members to guide clients efficiently from the vans to our boats. During the tour, we also ensure there is one leader at the front and another at the back to keep the group together and ensure everyone is well taken care of, especially in traffic.
With regard to your comments about the brakes, our vehicles are regularly inspected by our mechanics. If you experienced an issue as described, it would have been in our both interest informing one of our leaders immediately so that the vehicle can be promptly replaced. Guest safety is our top priority, and we take all such concerns very seriously in order to prevent any potential incidents.
On the contrary of your comments, we are pleased to note that no injuries or incidents occurred during the tour.

Guides were great, very helpful and accommodating. Transportation to and from the experience was late(40 minutes) and crammed. Lunch was in a dirt parking lot near a beach.

The buggy tour was definitely a highlight of our trip. It stopped at a lot of really cool places and it was a great way to explore the island. The waters were too choppy for us to swim in the blue lagoon, which we were really excited about, so that was a bit disappointing, but overall the tour was beautiful and fun and worth the money. If swimming in the lagoon is your main goal, make sure you check the weather conditions before booking the tour because it changes constantly.

Booked it months ahead then they told me a week before the tour it was full. Don’t believe them.

Viator has improved its platform since the last time we traveled in 2023. The communication with the provider were fast and within 24 hrs response. Our Yipee tour was amazing. Our tour guide Joseph was a 5star guide. Extremely safety oriented. Kept all the group guided and organized to prevent any risks of injury. My husband and I are in our “young” 70s and had a blast riding the 2 passenger boogie!! We recommend this tour to everyone who is experienced seeker and history buff…Thank you Joseph you gave us an amazing experience!

Overall the tour was fun - the buggies were fun to drive and we got to see a lot of Gozo but there were some things which could be improved. Firstly, we weren’t sent our pick up location before the tour and so we had to ring the tour operator to ask for this. In the end we had to run to the pick up location and only just made it in time. Secondly, we would’ve liked more information about the sites we saw in Gozo - historical background etc. It didn’t really feel like an actual tour. But we still had fun and getting to swim in the Blue Lagoon at the end of the day was great!

This was a great way to travel about the island. Be prepared for the dock to be a little hectic. Lots of people going the same place. But it works out fine :). I’m giving this a 4 out of 5 because lunch is catered to vegetarians only. Which makes it hard for those who are not like us. So you should bring your own water and snacks. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this your.

Would have missed our ship if it wasn't here overnight. Place was unorganized and overbooked. By the time we started the tour we were already 2.5 hours in. The tour itself was good. Saw alot and amazing place. But honestly, I would never trust them to get you back in time. Left at 8am. We got back at 6:30pm. They lost a few people along the way. Everything was delayed. Overbooked the trip. Several of us waited around. Then we were bussed again to their shop to get more quads. Nerve racking.

Thank you for your review - we are glad you had positive comments on the actual tour. It does take 2.5 hr for the transfer from the cruise liner and the crossing over to Gozo. We apologize and acknowledge there was a delay on the return as some clients got lost and we had to delay departure by 30 minutes in order to locate them.

Overall we would highly recommend. The trip to the boat was fine. The boat an experience and the buggy tour brilliant. There was a lot of hanging around at the ferry terminal on Gozo waiting for other passengers to arrive. Perhaps an hour in total. Buggies easy and fun to drive. Lunch was just a sandwich and some pasta that the guide brought, but it was tasty enough. We stopped at some great locations and the weather was fine. Most importantly we slept in and at the start of the day missed our alloted pick up time by more than ten minutes. We have to say that the company were extremely helpful. Had talked us round to catching the fast ferry (to catch up) but then the driver came back after picking up some other passengers. 100% couldn't be faulted. Brilliant service!!!!

A really awesome day! It started off very disorganized when we arrived to Gozo and definitely took a while to get us sorted and in a van to pick up the buggies- but it was an amazing experience once we were off and running. Our guide did a great job (he was Tunisian, I didn't catch his name) and the boat ride back through the Blue Lagoon was icing on the cake!

This tour was awesome! It takes you to all the highlights of Gozo and using the buggys was a cool way to get around. The guys leading us made us feel very safe guiding us through the streets of Gozo. I had my 8 year old riding with me and she loved this experience! We did not feel rushed at all and felt like we got to see so much. Driving your own buggy was really cool too and they move pretty fast! Do not miss this experience!

Excellent journey from gozo fast ferry was an effort but the driver had alot traffic to deal with the crossing on the boat to Gozo was brilliant and also the buggy we rented was great enjoyed the trip around Gozo the only let down was when we stopped for lunch it was no choices and no coffee but other than it was fantastic.

It was a brilliant experience we went with our 3 children all over 18 and could have their own buggies or quads. Our tour guide Chris was brilliant full of crack and knowledge made it such a fun day. I would definitely be recommending to our friends. Bring a light jacket if going in December as it gets a little nippy in the evening, lunch was gorgeous very traditional food again I can't say anything bad it was a great day.

Absolutely fun way to get around the island and see Gozo. If you are wanting to learn anything about Gozo then this is not the tour for you.
We saw lots of beautiful areas and got to swim in the lagoon. Lunch was ok.
The blue lagoon was pretty but very touristy but again was nice to see it. The caves part of the your again was ok but literally was just Quick Look and leave.
Was all very confusing once we got over to Gozo nobody seemed to know where we needed to go. When we finally got transferred to the buggies took over an hour to actually head off
Our guide was good fun though. I would have given 5 stars had I have actually learnt something about Gozo but sadly didn’t however was a really fun trip to do

And you get to see a lot of the island.
Only thing that was very poor was the pick up from our hotel and the pick up from the dock after returning from Gozo, no representatives there to advise which of the many mini buses you needed to get to return to your actual start location.

We were picked-up by mini bus, then speed boat, and finally a mini van. Took about 40min from our pickup in Mellieha. Suggest taking water with you as not readily provided. Bottle of water is offered to purchase by the minivan for €1. Advise wearing plenty of suncream.
There were several stops during the day and we were given little info about where we had stopped and we kept having to ask how long the stop was for so we knew when to get back for.
Lunch was not the best but it sustained us - a very dry pasta dish.
Trip around the caves and the Blue Lagoon on the way back to Gozo was beautiful.

I was very satisfied with the Buggy Island Trip – everything was so well organized and went fluently. The guides were really friendly, and I especially appreciated that we even had a Hungarian guide to explain everything clearly. Communication before the trip was excellent, and it was very easy to find the pickup points.
The only small thing I missed was a bit more communication during the boat trip part, but that was just a minor detail compared to the whole experience. Driving a buggy around the island was so much fun, and for a foreigner, it was a great way to explore places where traveling by car could be difficult.
Altogether, it was a really nice and unique experience that I would definitely recommend!

Wissam and the team were amazing. Driving the buggy around Gozo was great fun and a good way to see the amazing history of the island. We enjoyed a swim stop and included lunch stop. Plenty of photo ops along the way. Highly recommend the buggy over the quad especially in peak summer.

Outstanding from start to finish. A full on day at reasonable price. Picked up and transferred on time. Simple but effective safety briefs given. Lots of driving time with a few scenic stops. Lunch not to everyone’s liking but that’s a personal thing. Blue lagoon was amazing and we could just jump off the boat. Would highly recommend.

Do it, especially if you have never visited Gozo before, fantastic day out! We did have to have a slightly different experience due to self drive buggy availability, but our driver Fadii was absolutely AMAZING! He went above and beyond to ensure we had the best day! Unfortunately, we managed to lose a wallet, but even that didn't dampen our spirits and ruin our day! They even did a special shout out and presented our daughter with a birthday cupcake at lunch ☺️ We will definitely recommend to everyone, many thanks 😊

Excellent tour! It was well organized and communication was excellent. Max and Jonathan were our two guides for the all-day buggy ride on Gozo. They were accommodating to the needs of the group. They even accommodated my gluten free needs at lunch. We ate lunch in a quaint town that was locally owned. They served traditional Maltese food. We saw parts of the island that we wouldn't have seen without being on a buggy. I highly recommend this tour.
