We pick up from any hotel or other point in Malta. Normal pick-up time is usually at 9am, however kindly indicate in your booking if you need an earlier or later time and we will happily accommodate if possible for us to do. Please note that on Fridays only, tour's starting time is at 08:30am.

Frances Gauci arranged a wonder private driver for the four of us to see the southern portion of the island. We only had an afternoon available because of our schedule aboard Explora. Our driver showed the old town section of Valletta noting the gardens and the excellent harbor view point for pictures. Then off we went to see the colorful Fishing boats of the cute town Marsalis (sp) with time to walk the shopping stands along the promenade. The to the incredible Blue Grotto where we had time to take the small boat tour to see the intensely blue waters and the colorful rock caves. We still had time to explore the 5000 year Neolithic archaeological site Hagar Qim. These were all accompanied by very knowledgeable driver explaining life on Malta, Gozo and Comino. The driver made this short visit to Malta a perfect shore excursion with our limited available time. Use this provider with confidence!

Our driver Salah, who we had seen online previously had high marks, was most accommodating and met us at time at the cruise terminal. He customized our tour within our designated time constraint and was very knowledgeable of the island and its historical locations. Malta is quire barren and is being rapidly developed but there are still many sites worth of a visit.

Amazing fun filled packed 3 hours. Our driver / tour guide was very kind and friendly. Pick up location from the cruise port was super easy. We visited the Blue Grotto, saw a Maltese Falcon, spent over an hour at Hagar Quim megalithic temples which were fascinating and finally a quick 40 ish minute to visit the medieval town of Mdina, just a stunning walled city especially for GOT fans. Highly recommend this private tour when trying to squeeze in lots of sites in a short time.

Salah was a great tour guide. We had an amazing tour around Malta Island! Salah was incredibly knowledgeable, and the best part was that the tour was fully customizable to suit my preferences. We explored some beautiful hidden gems that weren't on the typical tourist route, and when the tour went over the three-hour mark, the additional time was reasonably charged. This tour was exactly what we were looking for as we only wanted to see Mdina & swim at the Blue Grotto. Our driver picked us up at the meeting point promptly and was accommodating to our requests. He was informative, friendly and personable. This tour was definitely an easier option than taking a taxi or bus as our time was limited and we needed to be back to our cruise ship at a certain time.

Our guide went way above and beyond to make our tour amazing! He listened to our wish list, gave his professional advice, and helped us determine our best options. We did the 3 hour tour and he gave us literally the max experience for such a short time frame. We were scheduled to fly out after the tour and he even went so far as to drop us off at the airport at the end of the tour. I cannot recommend this tour enough!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’m not sure what the complaints are on this tour, it was awesome. Saleh picked us up very promptly right where they said they would. Tour was completely customizable. Price includes up to 3 hours and you pick where you go and what you do. If you go over 3 hours, you pay a very reasonable charge for each hour over 3. We went to the cliffs, the blue grotto (which was amazing), the temples and a city tour of Valletta. We spent a total of 3 hours. Sakeh was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable. Wouldn’t hesitate to pick this tour. .

It felt like a scam, because the advertised info about tour itinerary is grossly misleading.
1) The tour info on Viator clearly lists a full itinerary for the tour. In reality, the customer had to choose either north or south tour. So the published itinerary is simply wrong.
2) The actual tour didn't even consist of half the itinerary chosen by me (the south tour). In reality, the driver simply declared after 3 hours that our time was up. And if we wanted to continue the tour we had to pay extra money in cash to him (30€/h). It turned out that the service was time-sensitive and NOT following the tour itinerary at all.
All in all, it was a bad experience and I would not recommend using this service.

Mr Kalev M., this is so rich coming from you to say we misled you with our advert. You are one big scammer - your intention was, from the start, since you booked the tour, to purchase the 3-hour tour, as you did, and have us do a whole day tour with you!! And I did explain via a number of Viator messages that what you bought was a 3-hour tour and, as it says in the advert, you had to choose between North and South as there simply is no time to do the whole island in 3 hours! I even suggested you cancel the tour if you didn't think it was suitable for what you had in mind, yet you didn't, despite my very clear explanations!
You chose to tour the South of the island and you spent so much time at just 1 place, then expected us to make good by extending for free so you could visit other places at your slow leisure. You added two extra hours at your own free will - the driver had even suggested to end the tour when the 3 hours were up and just take you back to the hotel or elsewhere and then continue on your own, yet you insisted you wanted more hours.
And yet we accommodated you, going against the driver's wish to stop at the end of the 3 hours, since he was not happy having you on tour, given your rude and arrogant attitude. Even the way you sat at the back of the vehicle with your leg and foot resting on the driver's arm-rest shows what kind of attitude you had on tour and the lack of respect towards the driver. What did you expect, Mr Mandmaa? .. to spend hours at one place and then expect us to extend the tour indefinitely for free? Why do you think it says 3-hour tour in the ad if it is not time-sensitive? And why do you think are there 4-hour, 6-hour and full-day tours advertised at different prices? Common sense!
You know very well that we explained things very clearly prior to your tour as well as on the tour itself, and never misled you, it was you had bad intentions the whole time. You gave us 1 star because we didn't fall for your scamming intentions yet we gave you good service for the whole duration of the tour, despite you not really deserving it!

We were picked up in air conditioned car, very kind. We went to the Barakka gardens and catacombs. When we got in the he had cold water for us and fruit, so unexpected but we definitely enjoyed! Before going to the airport we had an hour and our driver took us to the blue grottos and arranged for us to go on the ride asap so we weren’t late! It was exceptionally pleasant, thank you!! Highly recommend your service and we look forward to seeing you in Malta again hopefully with our friends!!

We were so happy with this private tour! Our guide Sallah was absolutely fantastic and provided knowledgeable suggestions while giving us full flexibility for the itinerary. We saw much more than we expected to be able to fit in, and we were able to add an extra hour on short notice. One of the highlights of the tour was when Sallah brought us a typical Maltan snack - pastizzi, which is filo pastry with a savory filling, and a cold drink called Kinnie. Yum!

This tour was a great deal for the 2 of us. We were able to choose which things we wanted to do, and how long we wanted to spend at each place. Salah was very accommodating and patient. I would book this tour again if I come back to Malta.

I took the north tour which was provided by Salah (not sure of the spelling). He was very flexible in the timing at each stop as well as with the overall itinerary when I wanted to skip a specific stop and instead go to a small market on the way back to the hotel so I could stock up on some things. Nice tour. Really enjoyed Mdina and the Dingli Cliffs.

I was ready to write Malta off. When I found myself looking on line for some way to discover the secrets of this beautiful country. I took a gamble and booked a private tour. SAL was my tour guide. I could not have asked for more. I booked TWO days in a row and I now can't wait to come back with family! He made this trip worth it! From dining recommendations, hot spots to the treasure spots he knows it all. Ps. I'm a designer from Chicago and he even took me to a local fabric store! Again, you won't find better.

Salah was our professional tour guide. We were three persons. He met us with a sign with my name on it at the cruise port. He took us all over and dropped us off and picked us up real close to each site visited and this was amazing since 2 of us have a hard time walking. He opened the door for each of us all the time. His car was meticulously clean. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. He provided us with Perrier. The Best Tour guide! Richard from California

Overall this tour was great and the guide was very knowledgeable and personable. Our cruise ship docked in an unusual location, so it took us over an hour to locate the guide He was there on time, waiting for us, but it was a confusing situation and I would recommend carrying a phone so you can communicate with the guide.
I would also suggest travelers begin their tour in Mdina, which is amazing and will require some time to enjoy it. We spent time touring other areas first and we we rushed at Mdina, which was sad, because it ended up being our favorite place.
The transportation for this tour was a car, not a van, and although they say they can take 4 passengers it was a tight fit. I would recommend no more than 3 passengers.

Yes, unfortunately, because your cruise ship docked elsewhere than programmed, even the driver had to wait for an hour until your arrival from the other side of the Grand Harbour, and yes, carrying a phone is the best suggestion so that client and driver can communicate with each other.
A note on the vehicle: the vehicle used for this tour is, as advertised, a normal 4-passenger car; new, air-conditioned and also comes with a panoramic roof.

Wir haben die private Tour gebucht, um mehr als beim Hop on - Hop off Bus zu erfahren. Die Bewertungen ließen vermuten, dass der Guide der absolute Wahnsinn sei. Dort bekomme man einen ganz anderen Blick auf Malta… nun ja, es ist einfach nur ein privater Shuttle Service in einem Auto mit Panoramadach. Nett, aber das hätte ich für den Preis nicht benötigt.
Zuerst kam der Fahrer zu spät. Da wir nicht sicher waren ob wir richtig stehen (Hotel Abholung nicht möglich), haben wir ihn angerufen. Er meinte, er wäre in 2 Minuten da. 20 Minuten später kam er dann …
Vorab muss man zwischen 2 Touren wählen: Nord oder Süd. Wir hatten uns für den Süden entschieden. Es wurde dann aber so lange diskutiert (etwa 10 Minuten), bis wir uns uns dann auf Teile seiner Nord Tour haben Brei schlagen lassen.
Nach und nach gab es immer wieder Sätze wie: da könnt ihr das machen, da das… also wie wenn man Google öffnet. Dann wurde an dem vereinbaren Punkt gehalten. Und wir sind ausgestiegen und mussten uns allein ohne Informationen dazu auf den Weg machen. – Ich finde die Kommentare absolut anderes. Fakt ist absolut unnötig: mit dem Bus kann man für drei Euro die ganze Insel abfahren und erhält via Google die gleichen Infos!

In response to your review, things are not quite as you state. First, your hotel was in a very narrow Valletta street, inaccessible by car, hence the reason driver could not pick you up from your hotel.
He was a bit late due to traffic - the hotel is close to the law courts and on the day, there was a traffic jam very close by and although the driver was indeed only two minutes away from the meeting point, however he was stuck and couldn't know for how long it was going to take until traffic moved on.
As soon as you got in the vehicle, you told the driver that you wanted to start off with the Blue Grotto boat trip because that was a priority for you and so the driver drove there first. On arrival, you saw that boat trips had not yet started because there were still no trippers so the driver suggested that, instead of wasting time waiting for boats to fill up, he drives you to Hagar Qim which is only a three-minute drive away by car, and come back again after visiting Hagar Qim. You agreed, however, after visiting Hagar Qim (at which visitors have to pay an entrance fee), you came back changed - you became hesitant about all venues and sites so much so that all of a sudden, you changed your mind even about doing the Blue Grotto boat trip which until a while earlier you had been so insistent on doing!
Having chosen the South Tour when you booked, the driver was going to continue on to Marsaxlokk next, after you told him you did not want to do the boat trip. Yet, you refused saying you didn't want to visit Marsaxlokk. You also refused to go to Birgu, also on the South Tour.
At this point, seeing that you refused to go to all the places left on the South Tour, the driver kindly offered to take you to the north and visit some sites there. May I point out that for the driver it does not matter at all whether he does the North or the South Tour. The fact is, as you know it, that you had chosen to do the South Tour yet suddenly were refusing to visit all the places listed on that tour! So the driver was only kindly suggesting if you wanted to go to some other places on the North tour. You certainly were not suggesting a solution just by refusing to go to all sites on the South Tour!
After driving to Rabat, you declined to visit both the Roman Villa and the Catacombs and so the driver suggested Mdina. At Mdina, you expected the driver to walk you around the place - vehicles are not allowed in and the driver cannot leave the vehicle parked and unattended outside Mdina, which is a very small place and with no parking within (and the driver explained this to you). The driver did walk with you to the entrance of Mdina and pointed out to you on the map there the main places and how to get to them. You seem to have wanted a tour-guide to show you around and give you detailed information about the place - for that, you should have opted for a tour with driver + guide - which is not what we offer and nowhere do we advertise ourselves as tours with a guide (which are far more expensive than what you paid for, clearly because you would be paying for the service of both a driver + a guide).
After Mdina and Mosta, the driver again asked you if you wanted to visit other sites because there was still time. He offered to do a stop at San Anton Gardens if you wanted to, and again you refused, telling him to take you back to the hotel. The driver thought that, most probably, you were put off visiting most places after entering Hagar Qim and having had to pay the entrance fee - perhaps you missed reading our note in the advert saying that entrance fees and boat trips are not included in our price?
It was after this first visit to Hagar Qim that your attitude changed, you started to refuse to go to most places and sighing heavily.
The driver bent over backwards to try to accommodate you - he is always very courteous and kind as can be attested to by many reviews which, from your own review, you seem to have read well.
