It was a long but beautiful day. The salt flats are truly amazing and exceeded my expectations. Driving was safe. Lunch was good with lots of fresh vegs. It would have been nice to hear more about the natural history of the salt flats, but this was not part of the tour. Also, we didn’t go to to iIsla Incahuasi though this was on the program. It looked like none of the tours went there judging by the cars. Perhaps because of rain season. But then the published program should be changed

This tour was well organized with impressive views of the salt flats during the day, the sunset and twilight. My plane had gotten delayed but the organization worked with me to ensure I could still join the experience, providing airport pick up. We started at the abandoned yard full of trains and other infrastructure that had been left by the government. Then, proceeded to the salt museum to learn about the salt harvesting process and its uses with some time to purchase souvenirs and snacks. Then, we had lunch near the Dakar Potosi statues amongst other tour groups. The lunch was simple but filling, served at tables and benches made completely of salt. Finally, we explored and hiked Isla Incahuasi with all the cacti (30 bol cash only) before driving to a beautiful viewpoint of the sunset with a small pool of water to watch nature at its finest with some snacks and bottles of Bolivian wine. I recommend this to it to hit all the best spots in one day but I will warn that my only concern was that our driver had consumed a considerable amount of wine before driving us back into town from the salt flats and was acting weird constantly asking whether we enjoyed the tour/guides etc. My recommended solution would be to ensure you can stay with a trusted driver the whole time. Carlos was a fun and responsible driver and guide, allowing us to enjoy the full sunset experience from beginning to end and even helping all the people on the tour get their train tickets to their next destination or find their way to their hotels safely.

Was a wonderful day, the guide Elmer, was excellent service, during the day he helped to us everytime, the lunch in the salar was delicious, and the sunset with a bottle of wine 🍷 so good, I would like to recommend the trip at list one full day.

Good but need to update the meeting point

The meeting point indicated on the page is a random address. I contacted the tour multiples times to confirm the address but never got an answer. With the help of Viator support they eventually reached me and picked me up 45min later but still have not confirmed or updated the meeting point location. The tour is nice, you get to see a lot in one day. The driver shares stories if you ask but leaves you alone on sites. The jeep is nice especially if you seat at the front. Lunch was a cold veggie salad, rice and fried chicken. We even had a glass of wine and snacks for sunset. Bring your passport, it’s requested when entering the salar. Sunblock is needed too. The island trek is 30bs cash only. If you can get picked up at your hotel this could be nice and value for money!
