Great off road adventure. Very little on crazy rocky roads. Most on back country dirt roads. Plenty of interesting and beautiful things to see that you won’t see if you are “stuck” around Utah 24. Mel the guide was great. Knowledgeable and informative. If we come back we will definitely use them again.

Stop looking at other expeditions and go with Meridian. Mel was very professional, personable, safe and knowledgeable of the areas backcountry, geology and culture. The half day tour we took was a private tour.. just my wife and I. He took us off road to the best sites you can’t get to easily as a casual visitor. We also got to see a couple of fossil sites. They also customize trips according to what you want to do.. check them out, you will not be disappointed!!!!

A must trip for those that wish to see this side of the park and not worry about the driving. Our guide had so much information to share and knew all the best photo opps as well. We were picked up at our hotel, in a comfortable SUV, and 7 hours flew by.

Jenny was right on time to pick us up at our hotel. She drove us through the park and off road to see some incredible sights. She stopped at an old water drilling rig which my husband loved as he worked in the water well business for years. She took pictures and then showed us some big sections of petrified trees. We then saw the bentonite hills. She was knowledgeable about the area’s history, plant and animal life. We enjoyed the tour.

Jenny from Russia was our guide. Jenny was funny, talkative and very knowledgeable. Jenny showed us all the beautiful sights of capitol reef and then some extra sights. The tour was just the two of us and Jenny which made it even better. We would highly recommend this tour with Jenny.

Mel was absolutely the best. I felt very secure and very comfortable during the entire tour and the views were really breathtaking. Couldn’t even believe that everything was real. I was also really happy to see how respectful with this landscape Mel showed and his knowledge about geology it’s very impressive. I highly recommend this tour if you’re traveling with a sedan (4x4 can make it the roads are confusing) or even if you wanna dig deeper on this experience. Drone is highly recommended too, it’s gives you good shots of those beautiful and rare landscapes. I’ll come back to Bentonite Hills and I wish everybody could have the chance to see how perfect Mother Nature can be.

The Bentonite Hills were amazing as was all of the geology. I feel that we were able to see Cathedral Valley in its entirety.

Our tour guide,Mel, was fantastic. He is knowledgeable, easy to talk with and you feel how much he loves the area as he shares it with you. He also customized the stops and activity level to our needs.

What a fun afternoon! Jenny was fabulous! We saw so many amazing sights and laughed and learned all day! Moonscape’s beauty took our breath away, then we traveled to Mars! We learned about seashell fossils and dinosaur bone fragments, and climbed Dolomite hills. Jenny was a gracious and enthusiastic guide! We had a blast!

The entire trip was amazing! Seeing the temple of the sun, temple of the moon and more. Being out in the park and barely see people. The beauty of hearing nothing except your own thoughts! Mel was very knowledgeable and a great guide. Learned a lot about the park and the area.

Mel gave us a fabulous tour. He is extremely knowledgeable with geology and provides so much valuable information during the tour. The scenery was stunning and felt very safe at all times. Highly recommend this tour esp to see the park in a way many people don’t get to see.
