How to be prepared for this trip

It was an interesting trip. Our tour guide never showed up at our hotel for the Sunrise Trek. Apparently they had overslept. Luckily, the company sent someone to take us up the mountain in a jeep. They drove very safely and slowly, partly because of how nervous I was, and of course, because it can be dangerous. We got to the top and saw the beautiful sunrise. I recommend anyone that doesn't like mashed bananas on bread and a boiled egg for breakfast, to bring their own. Also, it was very cold, so make sure to have a jacket. The sun made it a little warmer, so the way down was a bit better. We went to a lava rock field, of sorts, and wandered around there for about an hour. Then the driver took us to the natural hot spring. I think it should be noted that the restaurant there is cash only. Also, the changing and locker room is unisex, and everyone changes behind little curtains put around the room. There are many flies that enjoy the hot springs as well. As it is very sunny, people should also be aware of the risk of sunburn while bathing in the healing waters. When we were ready to be picked up, this company again came through for us. They sent a driver, who arrived only a few minutes after we had decided we didn't want to swim anymore. The drive back was safe and relaxing.

Although we were looking forward to this trip. We requested to reschedule the day before as we had an emergency medical issue and the doctor advised us we could not travel. We contacted the company as soon as we left the doctor and we offered to send a medical certificate. Although they initially offered an alternative date, we then had no response and they have stopped responding. I can appreciate that our request may not have been possible but it was disappointing the company stopped responding entirely.
