Komang picked us up in a decent car that was well cooled and comfortable. He was so kind and accommodating, pulling over to pee multiple times 🤭, shop for snacks, stop and get coffee etc. He was perfect. Then we had Dinda as our Jeep guide. I think he cares more about the safety of our kids than we did, which I loved to see. He is from the area and was very knowledgeable about the volcano. He let my husband drive the jeep (personally I think that was a mistake) but we all enjoyed it. On the way out of the crater he drove us super fast while we hung out of the rooftop, which my daughter LOVED and can’t stop raving about. He was very accommodating with us as well. Also, he’s a great photographer and knew where to take us for the best photos.

Throughly enjoyed this tour, the early start was tough but well worth it. Even with the Sunset not being that great, it was a great experience made even better by our Guide Nyoman who was patient, always checked in even and was great at sharing stories. Our driver Juniawan was awesome, he was really great and making sure we got to see what we wanted. Great time and would recommend!

One of the better experiences we have had. Our tour driver Sunia was great, he came and picked up from the hotel.. much earlier so we could have a great spot and not get stuck behind several other jeeps. He was very courteous and spoke well and shared amazing stories. He took great photos too… Sunia, after the sunset took us to the lava rocks and that was just magical experience. The 4wd drive experience to the and on the lava rocks was unique. We had a great time and many thanks to Sunia. I would highly recommend to select this tour with Sunia, he is the best!

It didn’t have many reviews yet but so lucky I found this tour. I did this for my birthday with my parents. We got picked up at 3:30am at our hotel. It’s early but you need early. It’s about 70 minute drive from Ubud to the Jeep, then 30 minutes to Mt Batur. Grateful for the Jeep and our guide because there was some expert driving required and some steep off-reading! We arrived at 5:30 for a 6:30 sunrise, and our guide expertly found us the last great viewpoint. Lots of other jeeps around so arrive later and it wouldn’t have been good. It was cold though so dress appropriately. The Jeep doesn’t take you to the 1717m summit, I think it takes you about 1400m above sea level. That’s good enough. You can hike the rest if you want but 1400m is high enough to get a great view. He was so hospitable, offering us breakfast and drinks and telling us about some of the local history, and he offered to take photos of our family that turned out great. He spoke excellent English. My mother has recently broken her ribs and shoulder and is still a bit fragile. Our guide was so considerate making sure she was comfortable and helping her out. We did a combo tour of hot springs afterwards, and while the tour and driving was fantastic, the hotsprings itself was mediocre. The pools weren’t that hot and pools were a bit dirty. We left after an hour because we were tired and wanted to go back to our hotel. Dropped off and done by 11:30. Great Jeep and driver. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour for anyone interested in Mt Batur by Jeep.
