Itinerary

After hotel pickup in south Tenerife (select hotels only), board your air-conditioned vehicle and travel to the island’s north, known for its mountainous forests, craggy cliffs, and traditional towns.

On route, hear about your first stop: San Cristobal de La Laguna, better known as La Laguna. Founded in 1496, Tenerife’s former capital boasts a UNESCO-listed Old Town complete with a university, pastel-colored houses, and pretty plazas.

On arrival, explore the cobbled streets to admire the 15th-century architecture and highlights like the Cathedral, or simply stroll around the lanes and peruse souvenirs at the quaint shops.

Continue to the Mercedes Forest, nestled in the Anaga Mountains. Absorb this ancient laurel rainforest, which is shrouded in clouds almost year-round. Learn about its pre-Ice Age origins, see the giant laurels and ferns that create its fairy tale atmosphere, and take photos at scenic viewpoints.

Descend to the picturesque fishing village of Taganana and enjoy a fish lunch (own expense) at a traditional restaurant, admiring the views from here over the northern coastline.

Lastly, stop at Las Teresitas beach, a gorgeous sandy crescent backed by green mountains. Capture its beauty on camera before your tour then finishes back at the original start point.

Not worth time or money

The trip was bad from the start, they said since I was in the north part of island I couldn’t get a pickup. Which is fine except they failed to tell me that they did not return to the pick up point so I had to take a cab back there to get my car. No meal included, no entry to tour sites included, La Laguna was a self tour so. Could have done this without paying their fee. We went to a beach which I assume was a bathroom break with no real tour on info. Overall, don’t waste you time on this one.

We saw several beautiful sites on this tour. Everything was very comfortable. We decided to skip the lunch restaurant as we already ate and walked around and took pictures instead. Would recommend this tour.
