Overview
If you’re short on time in Sydney and won’t be able to visit all of its glorious beaches, admire them from the air instead. This scenic half-hour helicopter flight takes you over the beaches at Coogee, Bondi, Manly, and more. You may even see dolphins or whales (in season), and you’ll definitely get great views of Sydney Harbour, the Opera House, and the Harbour Bridge.

Your scenic helicopter experience starts with pickup from one of two central city hotels, and a transfer to the helipad, where you’ll check in.
After boarding, slip the provided radio headset over your ears for two-way communications with your pilot. Large viewing windows allow for excellent sight lines as your pilot takes off and soars towards the coast. Within minutes of departure you’ll be soaring above the glistening waters of Maroubra Beach as you track north along the coast. Admire the turquoise waters of the Pacific Ocean and the white-sand beaches that scallop Sydney’s coastline. See famous beaches and surfing spots with views that extend from the Northern Beaches to Botany Bay.
From the entrance to Sydney Harbour, your flight path will continue north, passing the golden sands of Manly and Curl Curl Beaches en route to Dee Why and Long Reef. Circle back to Sydney Harbour for views of icons such as the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House, Taronga Zoo, and Watsons Bay. Looking toward the horizon, see Sydney stretching out toward the Sydney Olympic site and further to the Blue Mountains.
Back on terra firma, catch a handy shuttle back to Circular Quay in the central city, with plenty of time in your day for more activities.

- Individual passengers in excess of 100kg can't be confirmed on shared flights due to aircraft limitations and operating capacities.
- We operate Robinson helicopters that have a maximum seat limitation of 135kg (297lbs), passengers in excess of this weight will be required to fly in our larger helicopter and may incur additional cost subject to the number of passengers travelling.
- All passengers will be weighed upon check in. Bookings for two where the combined total is 180kg or more in total must book a private flight. Bookings for four guests are more than 360kg may also need to upgrade to a larger helicopter (additional costs and payable direct to the supplier).
- All flights are sold on a shared basis where up to 6 passengers may be travelling on the helicopter. Single passenger bookings are welcome however all flights require a minimum number of passengers to depart.
- If you have an infant (a passenger under 2 years), you will be required to book a private flight for additional cost.
- Helicopters are collapsible wheelchair accessible, however the pilot is unable to assist passengers with boarding and disembarking due to occupational, health and safety regulations.
- Our bus transfers are a complimentary service, pickup is available from two different hotels ONLY where guests will be transferred back to Circular Quay after the flight
- You will receive confirmation of your flight time and scheduled pickup time from a City hotel (if required) via email.
- If you do not require transfer or are staying in an area outside the City you can make your own way to our base, check-in is 30 minutes prior to the confirmed departure time.
- Please ensure that we have a phone number (including country code if applicable) for when you are in Sydney in case we need to get in contact with you on the day of the flight.
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 16 travelers

This was a 5 star experience. It helped that it was an absolutely beautiful day. Harry was the pilot and was proficient and made sure both sides of the copter got to see all points of interest and added commentary as necessary.

Got this for my partner's birthday, and I had never seen him giddy with that much joy. It was really cool to get from the city to the Northern beaches in just a few minutes, and flying right by the Crown tower was a highlight! We were comfortably seated and well taken care of throughout. Will get this again for when my cousin graduates :)

Great pickup and drop-off service to get you to and from the airport. The flight itself was very good and I got some great pictures of Sydney. I would highly recommend the tour and especially if it is your first time in Sydney.

Incredible staff, crew and views.

Absolutly amazing views on Sydney 🤩🩷 I loved it! and want going again. We had bluebird sky and it was also possible to see whales swimming in ocean. Very friendly and amazing stuff. If you are in Sydney you must go!

The helicopter tour was a dream experience come true! The tour was well organised and communication about where to meet and what to expect was given in advance. Matt was our pilot and gave us a good overview of Sydney and pointed out particular areas of interest. We were briefed about health and safety beforehand and after our flight was served tea and coffee. Outstanding experience!

If you want to see the spectacular sights of Sydney from the air then this is for you.
This is a great way to see Sydney and surrounding areas in 30 minutes and get some great pictures.
Professional staff to make sure you’re safe and comfortable.
Our initial flight had to be cancelled due to weather conditions but the people at Helitours were able to reschedule for next day which was great as we were flying back to UK the day after.

This was an amazing experience and I’m so pleased I made a last minute decision to book it.
The booking process was really straight forward and I felt it was very reasonably priced. I was collected from circular quays by a driver (can’t remember his name) who really set the trip up from the outset. He was really friendly, yet professional and explained what would happen on the afternoon.
Check in at the Helitour office was quick and the safety briefing easy to follow.
The pilot put me at ease and talked us through the flight and places we were flying over, throughout the flight. I got some amazing photos and videos from the tour and would highly recommend it.

The pickup in the city worked very well, everything went very quickly and the Sydney Heli Tours team was very professional. The flight itself took 35 minutes and went from the heliport at the international airport over the city with great views of the opera house, harbor bridge and the harbor. Then we went across the entire harbor to Manly, and down the entire coast to behind Bondi Beach, from here back to the heliport with subsequent transport back to the city. thank you for this great experience
