Overview

Rather than rush through an excursion to Mount Bromo, take your time and explore the area on this 3-day tour. With a private guide, drive to the top of Mount Bromo to watch a beautiful sunrise and hike to the crater. We decided to tour Indonesia for several weeks in June 2022, and Bromo and Ijen were on our to-do list. After searching for various tours, we came across this one and decided to take the plunge. The communication with our guide, Hamzah, was good before we even landed. Throughout the trip, he was accommodating to our needs and provided us with lots of knowledge on the places we were visiting; he knew of the good spots to take photos. Hamzah even helped with the purchase of tickets to cross the ferry into Bali after the tour was done. Our driver, Fabri, was excellent; he was great at navigating all the twists and turns on the road. The hotel accommodations were enjoyable; loved Glamping Hotel in the rain but the hotel closest to Ijen was a bit loud and noisy due to a celebration event of some sort, making it hard to sleep before the early trip to Ijen. The food options were ok; breakfast on the last day was a bit lacking. This tour is not for the faint of heart, as it requires you to be in good physical shape to climb and the ability to withstand extreme measures. Remember to bring money for restrooms and water. It was, overall, worth it and the picture memories are amazing to say the least.
