Excellent journey outside Stockholm

Page_J, Aug 2025
This was a wonderful day trip. We had a private guide who was spectacular. Her English was wonderful with such a light accent we understood her perfectly. She was flexible in what we saw inline with the tour and let us pick differing lunch locations suiting both our tastes. The history, culture, and artifacts we experienced were top notch. The horse farm was a real treat, talking with the owner and seeing the beautiful animals and his land.

Do this!!! Vikings history and horses!

gaylan_H, Aug 2024
Felix was great! He cared that we saw everything that we requested. He had all the information and was courteous. The Icelandic horse farm was the best part of our time in Sweden. The owners were genuine and incredibly kind!

Outstanding tour

Jonathon was outstanding! We had a wonderful time learning and exploring about Viking rune stones and the history of the area. We visited a ranch and up close to an Icelandic draft horse. They customized our tour to our interests which made the entire tour comfortable and enjoyable.

Great day tailored for what you want.

Terry_T, Aug 2023
We had a great day with Calle our guide. There were 3 of us including my granddaughter of 10. Calle tailored the tour to what we anted to do, a d also took us to places we would not have done. IncludIcelandic ponies and experimental viking village. All this culminating in visiting the Thokal stone U344. Can't recommend this highly enough. We all enjoyed it

A good day.

The trip was very interesting and learned quite a lot. More time to sit down to have a lunch would have been better as time was running out to see all the things. An extra history building or style of old home would have been good to have seen to mix it up a bit.

Very Knowledgeable guide! Angus...

LORIJ_H, Sep 2017
Very Knowledgeable guide! Angus showed us many sites, the churches and their history, the religion history and the stones! The rune were very interesting and the stories they told behind them which you would not be able to decipher on your own. Angus allowed us to ask many questions and he even answered personal questions about his living in the area for 6 generations. If you are interested in this area, this is a very good tour.

My husband and I took a private tour...

Erin S, Mar 2017
My husband and I took a private tour of the Swedish History Day trip. It was excellent. The two guides Angus and Jonathan were knowledgeable, friendly and provided a great tour. It was customized to the history of the area as well as they provided more information of Sweden when we asked. The pick up and drop off service from our hotel was helpful. Highly recommend it!
