What To Expect
Meet your kayaking guide and adventurous tour group in the evening in the Marina at the Mangrove Lagoon. After a short safety briefing and orientation to the area, hop on your 2-person, sit-on-top kayaks and launch into the lagoon. Lifejackets are provided for your safety.
As the sun begins to sink toward the Caribbean horizon, paddle at a leisurely pace through the mangrove lagoon, a complex system of waterways defined by the hardy trees' roots. Listen to your guide's stories about the times when pirates inhabited these waters and some details from the sunny, tropical island's dark past. Allow your guide to paint a vivid picture of prickly characters such as Teach, Blackbeard, and Bluebeard.

Watch as stingrays leap out of the water and use the lights on your kayak to look for tarpon and schools of lagoon-dwelling fish. Pass the deserted Cas Cay and hear about the local legends regarding 'spirit hitchhikers'.

So glad we booked this event. I traveled with my husband and two teenage daughters. Our guide was amazing! So much knowledge to share and he had great story telling skills. Even at night we saw some wildlife and he told us about things we couldn’t see. Very peaceful and beautiful at night. As someone who is afraid of the water and not an experienced kayaker I was at ease the whole time. Highly recommend this event and Nishan as a guide.

Wear clothes that can get wet. Wear real shoes or sandals with a hard bottom. Its kinda of a work out so be prepared for using your arms

Had an awesome guide, he was extremely knowledgeable and patient.. We kayaked through the lovers channel and around some bends in the mangrove learned about upside down jellyfish and also walked the island near Blackbeard’s ole fake entrance and learned some things about him as well.. Learned a thing or two about hermit crabs and Make you Kneel (Manchineel) tree lol guides insider..

My husband picked this night kayak tour while on our honeymoon. Neither one of us had ever gone kayaking before. We certainly struggled to learn how to work together paddling the kayak, but other than that, it was an amazing activity. The guides were super friendly and so informative. We picked this group because they had the best price. But what we didn't know is they have the best guides! The guide "slim" found us a jellyfish to hold. We explored the coral shores and even got to hear pirate stories. They made the experience one of the best things we did while in St. Thomas. It's worth every penny!! Make sure and give these guys a good Tip, they deserve it!

We loved every minute of it! Bri was very welcoming and Devon was super knowledgeable and a wonderful guide! We got to see a bunch of fish. Lobster. Crabs. A nursing shark and a giant pufferfish!! Highly recommend going!

We left a little bit early, so the lights on the bottom of the kayak weren't quite lighting up the water so much. We still had a great time though, saw a nurse shark swim under our kayak, and got to watch the sunset. Our guide, Jason, was amazing and had some great stories.
