Customizable Private Tour — Marvin Was Fantastic!

We had an absolutely fantastic day exploring St. Thomas with Marvin as our tour guide! One of the best things about booking this private tour was that we were able to build a custom itinerary around the things we wanted to see and do, rather than being locked into a standard tour schedule. Marvin arrived right at the cruise port in a beautiful Cadillac Escalade, which was a great way to start the day. From there, he did an incredible job showing us his beautiful island and sharing the history, sights, and local perspective along the way. Our customized day included Paradise Point, historic Charlotte Amalie, Blackbeard’s Castle and the 99 Steps, Drake’s Seat, Mountain Top, and Sapphire Beach, followed by some time for shopping in downtown Charlotte Amalie. The views throughout the day were absolutely spectacular, and Sapphire Beach was a perfect place to relax and enjoy some lunch. What really made the experience stand out was Marvin himself. He was friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating, and never made us feel rushed. He was happy to adjust the timing and make the day work around what we wanted to experience. If you're visiting St. Thomas on a cruise, I highly recommend this private tour. Being able to customize the itinerary made a huge difference, and having Marvin show us around in the Escalade made the entire day feel comfortable, relaxed, and special. Thank you, Marvin, for giving us such a wonderful introduction to St. Thomas! We couldn't have asked for a better day on your beautiful island.

Best Tour on St Thomas

Our tour guide, he called himself Big K since that was easier than saying his name, gave us a wonderful four-hour tour of St. Thomas. It was his personal touch and his lifelong experiences on St Thhomas that made this such a memorable tour. My friend has some mobility issues so he went out of the way to help her and also stop at overlooks that were convenient for her. At the end he recommended this seaside restauranr, called Mim's, which we have been raving about.

The best way to explore St. Thomas!

If you are new to St. Thomas and have 2-4 people in your party, going the private tour route is the way to go! D'Andre was our guide, and he did a great job telling us about local history and island life. He took us everywhere we wanted to go to check out major sites, views, and the beaches at our own pace. He was a great driver, and he knew how to get from A to B very quickly. We felt very safe in his jeep and are very happy we didn't take one the tour shuttles without doors and protection for the riders, especially kids.

Exceptional Private Tour

Our tour guide was Jonica and she was incredible! I had a last minute request to switch the time of our tour and Jonica was kind enough to accommodate us. She was well informed about the island’s history and gave great recommendations of areas worth visiting. We drove to several lookout spots with stunning views from different vantage points. We made a stop at Mountain Top for the views, famous banana daiquiri and of course souvenir shopping. We passed by Fort Christian, Hotel 1829 and took a detour into Blackbeards Castle. Cool spot with a pool, cabanas, outdoor games, view and a bar with fantastic music. It cost $15 for adult entrance and kids are free, you get a complimentary drink ticket. Lastly, Magens Beach was peaceful and tranquil. The waters were clear and warm. Plenty of fish, seagulls and pelicans to keep you company. I recommend this tour especially if you don’t feel comfortable driving the windy and steep roads on St. Thomas. We got to see a ton in four hours.

Best execution in St. Thomas

This was one of the best excursions we’ve done. Coming from the cruise port (it’s $15pp via taxi which is more like a shuttle-bus type situation and takes 20-30 min), the captain was ready to go upon arrival. We were actually late with the taxi situation but they checked in with us via phone to make sure we were still enroute. Our captain (Captain Bryson, whom we loved), was amazing and tailored our itinerary to what we needed, especially with a young child. We saw fishes and turtles, and had a little tour of St. Thomas, and it was absolutely perfect. There is a fuel charge (based on what you use) and can pay via Venmo, as well as the gratuity to the captain. Very convenient! Bring snacks, sunscreen and towels on board! There are no bathrooms on the boat so be sure to use the bathroom right before. Getting a taxi upon leaving was difficult so we recommend having a taxi arranged ahead of time to get back to the port. All in all, best excursion ever! Five stars all around. Thank you for an amazing time!

Highly recommended booking this private tour. Our tour guy, Ken was amazing and enjoyed learning about St Thomas and allowing us to customize our day. We drove around the island, went to Mountain Top, went to Magens Bay for a couple hours then finished at Paradise Point. Highly recommend and thought there was great value in comparison to booking an excursion through our cruise line.
