Top St Thomas Private Sightseeing Tours

My daughter and I had a great private tour with Rainey and Max. Max did the driving and Rainey was our guide. They’re very nice and built the tour around what we were interested in. We had done some sightseeing and shopping in Charlotte Amalie a few days earlier, so we got to see some historic buildings there that we hadn’t seen. They also took us to Mountain Top and some nice observation points in the mountains, then to get a takeout lunch, which was included in the price of the tour, from a local cuisine restaurant downtown to take to Brewer’s Beach. They shared interesting information about St. Thomas along the way. They set up chairs and a table for us in the shade at the beach and brought a cooler of waters. We had about 1 and 1/2 hours at the beach to eat, snorkel and look for sea glass, coral and shells, it was a great beach to find all three. I saw a hawksbill turtle in the water while snorkeling! If you don’t rent a car but want to tour around the island while you are there, I highly recommend taking a tour with Rainey and Max!

I've gotta say, this might be the best shore excursion we've ever had! As soon as we'd booked, Liston reached out to make sure he had the right contact info. Once at the port, he was clear about where we'd meet up, which was just outside the port, and showed us everything we needed to get going. He then told us he'd be guiding us by text message, which is something I'd never experienced before and wasn't sure what to expect. Let me tell you, this has got to be the definitive way to experience a new place, especially in the Caribbean! Liston gave us spots to head to every time we were ready, and since we were by ourselves, we could do everything at our own pace. Really enjoying the view of some vista he recommended? We can just hang out and shoot him a text when we're ready for the next spot. Water is perfect and we want to swim for another 30 minutes? That's cool, we can just let Liston know when we're ready. We were able to check out most of the great spots around St Thomas thanks to Liston, and had an AMAZING lunch. That was another big pro to this approach to tour guiding. We let him know when we were starting to feel hungry and he made a recommendation based on where we were that was a truly local experience. This was a great way to experience St. Thomas, and I'd recommend this to anyone!

This a very relaxing excursion. The sailing to and from the island was great. The snorkeling is going to vary day to day, but we saw 1 turtle, a sting ray, a barracuda, and lots of fish. Captain Mike and Nikki were very personable and fun. They did a great job with everything. I think there were around 12 people on the excursion. It didn’t feel too crowded like many other excursions do. I would highly recommend.

The trip around St Thomas with our driver, Ken was great. The knowledge of the island came from a deep rooted life there. Lore handed down from a great grandmother permeated everything we saw and experienced. Every stop was well thought out and meaningful. And he was fun!

Captain Ro made the day feel easy and fun, tailoring the experience so it worked perfectly for a family. He shared great local insight, pointed out spots we never would have found on our own, and made sure the boys felt included and excited the entire time. Ryder and Brooks are still talking about the adventure—and that alone says everything.

The crew is so amazing. Christian is the best! I don’t even think I could put in words the beauty of the sunset that you see. It’s so romantic and beautiful. Also, the painkillers do not hurt the vibe lol. Such a great time and view! Sit on the front of the boat, enjoy a painkiller and enjoy the sun going down and you could never go wrong!

Desmond was amazing!! Very knowledgeable, attentive, easy going, and flexible. This was the right tour for my family. Since the weather wasn't the best, we were able to structure our excursion to meet our needs. 6 hours was the perfect amount of time. The lookout points have the most memorable views.

Vincent was an amazing tour guide. He knew everything that was happening in his island. His knowledge about the whole island, both sides, French and Dutch, were impressive. We totally recommend him, he was patient kind, polite, and very respectful. We were very impressed. Thank you Vincent. Next time we will request another tour with you.!
