Loved it! had been to some of the places before but George's perspective and info was great. The added bonus was that his van was in the shop so we were lucky to have Arnold O'Brein drive us in his van. The 2 of them shared so much of their friendship and music. It was much more than you regular tour. We were lucky that Arnold took us off the planned itinerary to meet his Uncle and see fish that was just caught being taken off the boat and processed. Also during a lunch of incredibly fresh delicious fish Arnold played the violin and guitar and sang. He and George also sang together.
Had a fabulous time with George. What a gem, such a nice gentleman and very knowledgeable about the area. Wonderful, fresh cod lunch as well. We really enjoyed learning and covering so much of the local sights. A great way to spend a day in St John’s. Highly recommend George as a tour guide!
We had a great and informative time with George and would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see a lot of the area around St. John's. If you are a Hudson and Rex fan, George can arrange a tour for you.
George and David the two guides for our two vans were equally fabulous. I had misunderstood and thought George was a host for the come from away people or the plain people, but he was actually an actor in the play come from away. It did not matter, cause he was a true Newfoundlander, and let us on an exciting, beautiful, and enthusiastic Tours. David, the driver and Tours in the other van with us, was a retired professor who specialized in Newfoundland history. He is a fifth generation Newfoundlander. Both had wonderful stories to tell. A huge Plus was a stop to eat at a restaurant that served fresh cod, ours caught today. I highly recommend this trip book early, as it fills up quickly.
I really had no expectations. George is a ton of fun! Loved the history, tidbits of extra info throughout. Food was amazing.
Our guide, George, was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable about the area and did a great job of showing us the highlights of the St. John’s. This tour was the highlight of our trip.
This small group tour was a 10 out of 10. Our host George picked us up at our hotel and the adventure began. The tour is both educational and fun. It felt like we were on an outing with a long time friend. If you want to see the highlights of St. John’s Newfoundland and learn about its history, while not feel rushed witnessing this beautiful part of the world, then this is the tour to take! P.S. the fish lunch is delicious!
George was such an engaging guide. He made sure to connect us with other tour guests and tie in our personal interests from our own homes. He is very knowledgeable of St. John's history and area hot spots. Cod Lunch at a "locals" waterview diner was an added bonus. Enjoyed our time with guide, guests and tour of St. JOHN.

This was a great tour. We had hoped to see sights that are unique to Newfoundland. We were not disappointed. Our tour host, George has an insightful presentation that he delivers in an guenuine and entertaining way. His background knowledge is exceptional and he is very proud to a part of the amazing Newfoundland community. Visits to local fishing communities and iconic sites with amazing views make this tour a must do.
A must do for fans of Come From Away but also great for other visitors to St John's. Fantastic tour with lots of great information and stories.

Fun tour! George is a riot. He provides allot of historical facts without being boring. Only 5 people on our tour. Fish dinner was amazing. Three days later and we are still talking about the tour to our friends and family. Highly recommended.
Wonderful time visiting the highlights of the area. George provided much information about the area, history and interesting stories. The fish and chips included were absolutely delicious. We loved having a small group instead of a large bus full. It was a great excursion from start to finish. We would highly recommend this tour to all.

George was amazing! Warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, very very interesting, musical, and pointed out so many interesting things, and made great suggestions for us to continue our NFLD adventures.
He took us to 'By the Beach' in Portugal Cove for a delicious fresh fish & chip lunch. Sherri made us feel like we were in her own kitchen.
George even answered a few questions questions from people not even on our tour.

George was a great guide and bent over backwards to accommodate the group. He went to 2 different locations to pick us up when a few got confused about the pick up point. He was knowledgeable and engaging and the tour was a great value.
I had a wonderful day touring around with George:) He was extremely knowledgeable about the area and its history. We had by far the best fish and chips for lunch. George himself is very interesting in his own right. I absolutely loved the tour:)
George was our guide on a wonderful four hour tour of St. John’s, which included the best fish and chip lunch I have ever tasted. The tour began in Cape Spear and looped around St. John’s ending at Signal Hill. We stopped in Petty Harbour and watched fisherman at work and had a marvellous lunch in Portugal Cove.
