George was amazing! Warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, very very interesting, musical, and pointed out so many interesting things, and made great suggestions for us to continue our NFLD adventures.
He took us to 'By the Beach' in Portugal Cove for a delicious fresh fish & chip lunch. Sherri made us feel like we were in her own kitchen.
George even answered a few questions questions from people not even on our tour.

George was a great guide and bent over backwards to accommodate the group. He went to 2 different locations to pick us up when a few got confused about the pick up point. He was knowledgeable and engaging and the tour was a great value.

George was our guide on a wonderful four hour tour of St. John’s, which included the best fish and chip lunch I have ever tasted. The tour began in Cape Spear and looped around St. John’s ending at Signal Hill. We stopped in Petty Harbour and watched fisherman at work and had a marvellous lunch in Portugal Cove.

We had an absolutely fantastic time on this tour! Our guide, George, was the highlight of the day; he was engaging, knowledgeable, and full of fun. We shared plenty of laughs along the way, and he managed to strike the perfect balance between entertainment and education.
In just a few hours, we saw so much of St. John’s & surroundings and learned so much about its history and culture that the time flew by, it certainly didn’t feel like a 5-hour tour. In fact, George generously spent an extra hour with us, which made the experience even more special.
He’s incredibly well-spoken and considerate, making sure to accommodate the individual needs of everyone in the group. His fascinating life experiences added depth and richness to the stories he told, making the tour not only informative but also deeply personal. Warm-hearted and kind, George made us feel welcome from the very beginning. Highly recommended!

Several interesting sights. We saw whales below Signal Hill. The little fishing village was quaint. Nice lunch and nice walk around the lighthouse and military placement manned during WWII.

George was away but Deneen took very good care of us and the Honda mini van was super comfortable. Deneen was delightful and taught me the names of some plants and how they could be used for food and materials. The fish and chips were excellent, and Deneen dropped me off at a grocery store at my request at the end. Bring some cash so you can give your guide a proper tip at the end!

The prior reviews are accurate: George is an excellent tour guide, and we had a great time with him seeing some of the top sites in St. John's. His only downside is that he's not a longtime Newfoundlander — but he knows the local history and culture quite well. (We did a different half-day tour the next day with a different guide, not on Viator, who is longtime Newfoundlander, so we got different perspectives from each.) The upside is that as a longtime actor, he views his tours almost as performances (in only the best ways imaginable), and he engages personally with each of his guests. If after only 4-5 hours together, you want to hug your tour guide and feel sorry to see him go, then he's been very successful in creating a meaningful tour experience! (Oh, and the fish-and-chips lunch, in an off-the-beaten-path, small local seaside restaurant, is as good as advertised: best fish and chips around.) I should note that George now has a partner doing some of the tours, so you'd get a different experience but, I expect, an equally good tour.

We were so fortunate to book this tour with George! He was so knowledge, kind, and overly generous with his time! We learned more about the St. John's area of Newfoundland in one day than we could have in a week on our own. He graciously went out of his way to accommodate a unique request.
