Fascinating history, but hot and crowded tour

Let’s start with what was really great; Vanna was very knowledgeable and kind and brought this place to life. The downside is it was incredibly crowded and it felt like we could’ve learned more about some of the history.

During the peak summer months, the historic centre of Split can become very busy, especially around Diocletian’s Palace, as it is one of Croatia’s most visited landmarks. We always do our best to find quieter corners and create a more personal experience, but some areas can unfortunately be difficult to avoid at the busiest times of the day when the cruise ships arrive. I also appreciate your note about wanting more historical details. Great tour! Our guide, Lea, was lovely, engaging and knowledgeable! A perfect mix of ancient and modern Split history. It was a great introduction to Split (even though I had broken my foot before the tour and had difficulty walking)! We also appreciated that Lea made an extra effort to show us the synagogue and share some interesting facts about the local Jewish community. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful introduction to Split!

Lea was an excellent tour guide. We did this tour the first day of our visit to Split which gave us a great overview of the city for the rest of our stay. Lea knew a lot of the history and answered all of our questions. She was friendly and accommodating, meeting us at our hotel to start the tour. She showed us so much in the 2 hours we had together. She did not rush and stayed extra time to give recommendations. I highly recommend getting a tour. Split is small and easy to navigate but if you do not have a guide you do not understand what you are looking at. Lea, thank you for a fantastic introduction to Split, we hope to visit again!
