Our guide Ivan (the terrible) made day long tour fun and enjoyable throughout, also Mostar guide Honey (Henna) is very knowledgeable and able to clearly explain importance of landmarks.

The driver was terrific! We drove to Bosnia and saw Mostar. Then we drove to see the Virgin Mary site. It was phenomenal!! Highly highly recommend!! If you’re visiting Split it’s a wonderful opportunity to go see Bosniaherzogovina too!

Our guide cut our tour short. We did not have a wine tasting or museum tour as was promised and that we paid for. She left us in the town and did not escort us back to our transportation.

We had a great time on our tour to Mostar. Our driver, Ivan, and tour guide, Adriana, were both wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable, and made the day enjoyable. The downside was that the tour didn’t include the wine tasting or museum visit that was listed in the description. While we still had a nice experience, it was a bit misleading and disappointing not to receive everything that was advertised.

Comfortable drive. Would be valuable to have a driver that would explain possible a few key places we went through. Also the girl that delivered the guided tour of Mostar provided her version of history, namely how great Tito was and everyone mourned his passing and the break up of Yugoslavia. This may be her interpretation but is not an accurate representation. I am a Croatian and what she said about all people being happy with Yugoslavia, freedom of religious practice, good economy etc was totally incorrect.

A great day out to Mostar where you are greeted by a guide and gives you a run down of Mostar and its history, finished of with a wine tasting. Our tour guide Ana was excellent at explaining and very accommodating explaining everything and where to shop and not to shop. Then onwards to Međugorje a religious site where the apparition of Mary appeared in 1981.

Mostar almost broke my heart. Quaint little town that experienced great suffering during the 90’s civil war…too fresh to forget…It was rebuilt beautifully like a Marrakesh bazar. Megjugorje was spiritually uplifting. The climb up apparition hill is difficult—a metaphore for life…I say, “Go test your faith & climb.” You will not forget your adventure.

Mostar was an absolute highlight. Although the tour there was on the shorter side, it was very informative and enjoyable. There was a good deal of free time in Mostar to enjoy all of the shops and restaurants that were there, as well as the scenery. The second portion of this tour is geared for those who very much want to experience Medjugorje. There is no tour there.(this is clearly indicated in the description of the tour). You are able to either stay in the town for the hour and a half that you are there and visit the church and the limited shops and restaurants, or you can go up to the religious hill and experience the hike. The hike itself is quite intense and up very rocky terrain. It’s about 20 minutes to get all the way up to the top, but the terrain is made up of extremely jagged, uneven rocks. If you are with someone who is an inexperienced hiker, or in footwear that is not appropriate, going up would be difficult, but coming down would be treacherous. If you do not do the hike, you are welcome to sit on the benches by the statue of Mary or go back down into the town to the church to wait for the group. Our driver was extremely accommodating and kind.

Traveled with family 9 of us in total. They did not tell us till evening before that we would be separated. Other van got lost and kids were in that van and said the driver was going very fast. Van drivers did not explain what we would be doing or telling us about things along the way. The tour guide in Mostar was probably the most boring tour guide I have ever encountered to the point that we had to leave the group and missed the wine tasting , others also left his tour. Would not recommend this tour with Viator . Very disappointed. Especially since I took my whole family and we could not be together.

Most star is a must see, but is a two hour plus car ride. The agenda to see more star and then on to see the church and maybe the waterfall is not ideal. They should have allowed more time in Mostar and less time at the church. Ena was a great tour guide.

One important thing to know: the tour crosses the border into Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is outside the EU and Schengen zone. Check if you can go across with an ID or make sure you bring your passport. Unfortunately, some people on our bus were turned away at the border because they only had ID cards. That said, the driver handled the situation well, and make sure that the rest of us can carry on.
The tour itself was lovely. In Mostar, we were joined by a local guide for the first hour. He was fantastic—informative, personable, and he shared heartfelt stories about growing up in Mostar, which added a deeply personal touch to the experience.
I personally would have preferred more time in Mostar than in Medjugorje, but for those with a religious interest, Medjugorje will be a meaningful stop. The wine tasting in a shop in Mostar was a nice bonus.
Overall, this tour is well-organized and offers a memorable glimpse into the region’s culture and history.

We ended up being the only travelers on this date. Instead of cancelling, the tour guide (Ivan) picked us up in Split and drove us to both Mostar and Međugorje for this day trip. Everything was superb (except for the rain), but cannot say enough for Ivan and the tour company. Five-star rating!!

Great day out with Antonio. We were handed over to a knowledgeable local guide at Mostar who was passionate about its history. Great lunch recommendations and photo opportunities.
The apparition site is very rocky with no real path after the statues at the bottom. A pleasant stop but most people were there for the religious experience. Plenty of cafés available to just relax and enjoy the day.

Regrettably we didn’t have a memorable tour. Mostar old village was charming but swamped by hordes of visitors despite the low season. We were particularly disappointed with the rush to get through Medjugorge. There were only 7 of us but Antonio the driver chatted throughout the entire long drive with the couple of ladies seated in front. Practically nothing was shared about either of 2 towns visited. Before arriving at Medjugorge he was asking us to decide between visiting apparition hill and the church. In the end he dropped us off at the church with a stern limit of 30 mins. To be followed by a 90 mins stop at the apparition hill. The 30 mins at the church was way too short and we literally had to rush though prayers and took a quick tour of the church. Please remind your agents that Medjugorge is a holy site and prayers at the church is as important as climbing apparition hill. Amongst the 7 of us, 2 of the ladies were about 70+ and me and my wife are in our late 70s. None of us attempted the hill and sat out most of the 90 mins.

Nice, quick trip to go see Bosnia & Herzegovina from split. I really liked visiting Mostar and the brief informative tour. There was time to venture out and eat/shop. Međugorje was very nice as well. Beautiful to see in person and go up the hill. Antonio was awesome and did a great job!

It’s a nice glimpse of Bosnia and Herzegovina! Our guide at Mostar was excellent! The tour of the town was very interesting! It would have been great to know that running shoes were required for the tour. Also, we thought that the wine tasting was at a wineyard. And finally, it would have been interesting to have information during the drive from split to Bosnia-Herzegovina. Our driver was also excellent!

This tour was great! Both the driver from Split to Mostar and the tour guide around Mostar! The ride from Split to Mostar was really smooth and comfortable for the 2-2.5 hours you’re in the car! Mostar is such a cute town to walk around in whether you enjoy shopping, history, eating or taking photos there is opportunity for all that!
