Really disappointed, nothing...

Mercedes_N, Jul 2018
Really disappointed, nothing compared to what we were expecting based on the tour reviews and description: - Tour started more than 20min late - No water or light breakfast was provided on our tour voucher it clearly stated this would be provided, and when this was raised to the tour guides they apologised saying sorry our boss didn't tell us to buy breakfast, so the 10 of us on the tour did not have any food until lunchtime. - On the Blue Cave tour stop, our tour guide simply disappeared after providing us our tickets with almost zero explanation, and we were left on our own the other tour guides stayed there organising their groups to make sure the whole group boarded the same Blue Cave boat together . This caused the group split so we had to wait for the other half group to return from a separate Blue Cave tour. - The tour guides although nice enough, seemed little interested / exhausted / overworked maybe? so we were not provided much information at all regarding the places were were visiting. 1 or 2 sentences at the most. - What was meant to be a visit to the Green Cave, ended up being a 10 second in and out halfway into the cave, we could not see anything and before we know it the visit to the Green cave was over. - The worst part and the most disappointing part was that the tour voucher clearly stated that lunch would be in Hvar , and that we would have time to wonder around the island. Hvar was the part of the tour that not only us but the rest of the passengers were looking forward to the most. Instead, our tour guides took us to another island across Hvar called Carpe Diem where the one and only lunch option was a beach club overprice and terrible food however I guess this is the place the tour company had a commission arrangement with. Me and my partner are foodies and we had book lunch at a wonderful restaurant in Hvar however we were left with no other option but eating at the Beach Club only option , and stay there for 2h vs the 40min quick visit we had in Hvar. This is unacceptable and extremely disappointing.

Well worth the beautiful boat ride out to the Blue Cave. Amazing to see the color of the water and cave! Quick day trip, worth the time spent on the water!

Incredible day visiting the blue cave and the islands. The blue cave is an amazing experience that you must do if you are visiting the Dalmatian coast. We had lots of opportunity for swimming and our tour guides were very lovely. Would definitely recommend!

Great tour and a great way to see a number of islands in a short period of time. It was unfortunate that we couldn't enter the Blue Cave due to the filming of Mamma Mia/a high tide but this couldn't be helped. The situation was handled very well by the staff who tried to sort an alternative out but this was not possible either. The boat ride was awesome as were the tunes that accompanied us on our trip!

Paula U, Sep 2017
The speed boat trip was quite an experience but it should be better disclosed so one can have a better idea of what to expect. First - the trip to the Blue Cave is very long and we ended up there completely wet since we were sited on the last raw of the boat. We thought that that was bad so we requested to change sits and we were move up front - WORSE choice ever as the water impact is worse sitting up front that in the back, so on the next stop we moved back and fortunately we didn't get more wet than we were already. Because the duration and the speed and the water impact wasn't fully disclosed - it gets very tough on your back and knees if you are trying to stand up to try to make the water/waves impact less. Very tough really and it's a long period of time between stops. I thought I was going to loose a kidney during this trip. We had a woman in our group who mid way started to cry and demanded to be left on one of the islands to take the ferry back as she couldn't take it any more. Her words this is not what we've signed up for and I can't enjoy the view because of the speed and the water impact on the boat She stayed on one of the islands. Blue Cave experience - exceptional, but the Boat ride itself - not great. You get used to it after a while but like I said - Thank God I didn't loose my kidneys. All in all - I think you should describe the trip/speed/and potential issues in more details so if one signs up for this knows exactly what to expect.

If you are going to go to Hvar just take the ferry rather than do it on a tour. You really need a full day or more to take it all in.

The tour operators were great. Unfortunately we had bad conditions so didn't get to see the Blue Cave at all : but we got a small refund at the end of our tour and the rest of the time spent was beautiful!

Ugo M, Aug 2017
The tour was great. The two guides of our boat of 13 people were really nice and helpful. The tour goes to the blue cave 1h30 of boat, then 3 beaches and the city of Hvar. Beware, the lunch stop 12:30-14:30 is at Carpe Diem Beach, which is quite a bad and expensive place to eat. Pack up some sandwiches or eat properly later at Hvar if you do this tour.

Our family enjoyed the tour. The speedboat ride was excellent, the crew members were good too. The blue cave experience was fabulous and we could swim in several different locations during the various island visits. Hvar island is also a must see. Overall, great tour and would recommend it for others.

Out of the 3 Viator Tours we took on our 2 week Croatia trip, this was our favorite! Professional tour operators, comfortable seating/boat accommodations and fun group! Blue Caves was spectacular! The second Island can't remember the name, had a fun atmosphere and swimming options, but food was sub-par. It was 1:00 pm and we were starving, so waiting for the next Island Hvar to eat was unfortunately too long. I wish the guide had mentioned what our eating options were and which islands at the beginning of the tour, as we would have waited for Hvar. It had many restaurants to choose from. Overall, great tour!

Taylor K, Jul 2017
This was a good tour. The weather was horrible though, which was not the tour's fault. The problem was the tour guides put their interests over their guests, which many people in the group vocalized. We were cold and wet, and their was no place to eat inside apparently in Hvar to warm up. I had enough free time in Hvar to check the fortress out though, which is a must.

Amanda C, Oct 2016
This one my least favorite tour by far and I've done dozens with Viator or other competitors. It takes 2 hours by speedboat 4 hours roundtrip to get to the Blue Cave and you spend only 5 mins in the cave. While the distance is not the tour operator's fault, this is an important point that should be noted in the itinerary. I guess this is why it was coupled with the other islands, to make it seem like you're getting your money's worth. Of the islands, the only interesting ones were Stivina and Hvar. The others should be skipped entirely as it took a long time to sail to each one and they were boring, not particularly pretty and not unique at all. One of them was a rock beach with a chicken coop. Instead of exploring the beach, most people just sat on the boat and killed time until we were ready to depart again. I would much rather cut these out and spend more time on two worthwhile islands. The lunch that was included with the tour was at a secluded restaurant in parking lot in Hvar that was a 10 minute walk away from town. It would have no customers if it weren't for tour operators forcing people there. Lunch was a disgusting chicken breast drenched in oil and french fries. I heard the other options were just as gross. I would have much rather paid for a meal in any of the restaurants on the pier.

Brittany C, Oct 2016
The tour begun unorganised with boss more concerned with collecting payments than providing info. 30mins into the boat ride it started raining. Unlike other tour groups, no wind jackets were provided. Lunch was outdoors, despite the rain, with no alternate arrangements offered. Don't bother in rain.

The tour was a lot of fun. The blue cave is definitely something that everyone must see with their own eyes. The cool small towns on the coasts of the islands provide you with a great perspective of the croatian island life. Make sure to bring some warmer layers for the durations between islands. We went on 2016-09-25, it was a sunny 26C day and the winds still managed to cool a lot of people down. Also, water can start to splash into the boat if there is a cross-wind.

Mindy B, Sep 2016
Great way to see a few islands in one day. As advertised, it is a speed boat-be prepared for speed, and getting a little wet on the way. Bring swim shoes because the bottom of the sea is very rough and rocky. These are not sand beaches, but the water is clear and beautiful. The blue cave looks just like the photo, only it is only big enough for the boat to enter and turn around. A great experience overall.

Lucy M, Sep 2016
The trip is worth doing, what you see is great, however, this tour was not great at times. The boat was slow and late which meant we had to wait for ages at the blue cave, we were then rushed at every other stop. No snorkelling gear on the boat so had to borrow leaky masks only. Also no snacks

Anna_P, Sep 2016
Really enjoyed this tour. There were 12 ppl on the boat in the end. Unfortunately we didn't get to see the Blue Cave as the sea was too rough fairly common in September apparently but the rest of the trip made up for it. N.B. they delayed the trip by a day as the weather was really bad on teh booked day. Gorgeous weather and stop off locations with lots of swimming opportunities. Really great skipper. N.B. The food is AWFUL. Literally got a very small plate of dry fries with a slab of greasy meat and had to pay for drinks.

The trip was very enjoyable. We rode a jet boat, namely Space Fun. The captain and the driver were very nice and helpful. They took photos for us, and took care of our things while we were swimming. The most exciting activity was paragliding. I have never tried it before. It was fantastic! I definitely recommend this. Thank you!

Marina D, Sep 2016
Great tour, and our two crew members were really nice and approachable. Everything was explained properly and they gave us historical facts about the island we were passing by. The blue cave is quite amazing although you need to be aware it will only be a 10mn tour. It is really worth it though!!

Disappointing tour, very bad lunch...

Hannaa M, Sep 2016
Disappointing tour, very bad lunch, didn't take us to the blue cave because it was apparently closed, no snorkeling involved as described when booked. Definetly not worth the money. On a speed boat for most the day. Most islands had nothing to do on them, except Hvar.

Rune_N, Sep 2016
Super nice tour! Only downside being the lunch, that was a waste time (ordered chicken and that was dry chicken and fries, nothing else!). We should have been informed that this is nothing special in a restaurant 15 minutes walk from town centre, so we could have sought alternatives.

The captain/skipper Reuben gave us a one wild ride on the SPEEDboat emphasis on speed since the captain was a huge fan of going full speed during the entire trip! This tour was a great way to see several of the islands in just one day again, at record speed. If you are up for the wild ride, I highly recommend this tour!!!

Nadia S, Aug 2016
Our boat driver and his helper were not friendly at all and could barely stand to speak to us. They were aggressive in the way they spoke to us and basically just treated us like cash cows. It was beautiful to see the caves and beaches but there was absolutely no effort put into making us feel welcome and comfortable. I would try another company to do the same tour, there are plenty out there and considering the money we spent, they should have been friendlier!

Danielle E, Aug 2016
Did not get taken to Blue Lagoon as expected, with no explanation or notice from the skipper, until we asked when we realized we were headed back to starting point. Lunch at Hvar was not well organized and had to wait 45mins to be seated and served. Did not have 3 hours of free time in Hvar, or as much swimming time as expected. Sights we did get to see were beautiful.
