This was my first solo trip to Tunisia, and I was really worried about coordinating all pickup locations and the quality of tours booked via Viator. My adventure started when Nadhmi contacted me on the day I landed asking if I could move things around with the booking date, but I couldn’t do so due to a packed trip, so I told him as much. About half an hour later he came back with a confirmation that he will pick me up at a better place than I originally indicated in the app, but at an earlier time due to the changed location, and that we will have to pick up two other people along the way in a beautiful Hammamet. He had a plan! This put me at ease, as he had things handled, even if the pickup time had to change. All my difficulties were resolved within 30 minutes. Given that I woke up with the first call for prayer (~5:45am), an earlier pickup at 8am was definitely not an issue. It also gave me an opportunity to see more of Tunisia as we traveled to pick up other travelers.
The earlier pickup also gave me about an hour to get to know my guide before other people arrived. And I am glad I did. Nadhmi is well-traveled, open minded, and has a great sense of humor. I ask A LOT of questions about everything. During the entire trip he went out of this way to explain things about specific places and Tunisian culture people don’t always discuss or notice. This turned into a lovely discussion among all three of us. You could see how passionate he is about Tunisia. He also asked questions, listened to the things we all wanted to do, and never pushed us to do things we didn’t want. Nadhmi turned out to be a great local resource for curious travelers. And boy, he can haggle if you want to buy something! Yet, he will never even suggest you go shopping anywhere unless you ask him specifically. He also knows local prices for everything??? Ask him what something should cost. Ask him about picking better quality. Ask him about other things you should do during your stay. He picks the best of the best in Tunisia, and you will be remiss not to use him as an amazing local guide. This man is amazing. His tour made my trip.
As a side note:
Viator isn’t particularly good at giving you options for meeting places, so I appreciate that Nadhmi reached out to me to confirm a few days in advance and was able to accommodate a different pickup location (not listed as an option) and retain my original booking date despite some changes. This shows his foresight and experience with tours. Please kindly confirm with him about your special trip interests and pickup locations. Additionally, this tour is really meant for a small group, so unless you are the only group that books it (3-4 people in one party) you will have to put up with interests of other people with different backgrounds and potentially different language—sometimes it works in your advantage, and sometimes it doesn’t, it is a coin toss. Book him solo if you want a 1-on-1 experience.

Our guide Nadhmi was the worst tour guide we’ve ever had. The night before the tour he sent a WhatsApp message to try and make the start time 1 hour earlier so that he could get back earlier. We said no as we’d made plans. When he picked us and one other person up, he was clearly disgruntled and didn’t want to do the tour for just 3 people. He barely spoke to any of us the entire 2 hour journey to Tunis, and wasn’t very informative about anything at all. We felt that he gave as little information as possible because he couldn’t be bothered. We were rushed around all the places we visited and didn’t get to see much of them at all. He spent most of his time just walking ahead of us and being on his phone and not paying any attention to us. He didn’t even check that we were still following him at times. We were not given instructions of how long we had anywhere either, he would just give a very brief bit of information and then just stand there and didn’t suggest where to go. At one point he even went back to his car. We were meant to have 2 hours in the medina of Tunis but was rushed around in just 1 hour because he wanted to get back early. Again, we were not spoken to in the car in the 2 hours back, and he was expecting a tip at the end! Sadly this man ruined our tour of this beautiful country and we were left incredibly disappointed. Such a waste of time and money, on a trip that was actually quite expensive when you consider the small cost of entrance fees and local transport here.

The suggestion to start 1 hour earlier (8am instead of 9am) was to finish the tour before it gets dark. The sunset is around 5pm during this time of year. And we kept 9am when you told me that it is not possible from your side so I do not understand how it bothered you!!!
The explanations concerning the sites were all done during the excursion and I do not remember that you asked for more information, I answered all your questions if I remember correctly.
The visit of the Medina of Tunis will take one hour as indicated in the details of the excursion not 2 hours as you mentioned.
You mentioned that i expected a tip from you at the end of the excursion, i don't see how you understood that!!!

Everything was as it said in the itinerary. We went to Sidi Bou Said first, it was absolutely gorgeous! Then we went to Carthage where you will need to pay 12 TND but you get to go to many places. It was cool to see the Roman bath ruins. After that, we went to Tunis medina. It would have been nice to have longer at the Tunis medina but I read from the review that people complained about the shopping time being too long, so I suppose 1 hour is the compromise.
Our driver and guide was Nadhmi. He was great, shared a lot of knowledge and information. And I like that he gives customers space and silence on the car ride, unless he has something to share; I prefer it this way.

What an amazing helpful, friendly, informative, and accommodating driver!
I ended up being the only client as 2 cancelled at last minute due to illness. Nadhmi was like a family friend, soft-spoken and completely professional. He sent detailed photo for where to meet for pickup, to asking how long I wanted to stop at a spot, to showing best viewing spots for photo. He gave a running commentary as we drove and I learnt so much about the Tunis.
I wasn’t interested in shopping but in seeing the different souks and mosques in the Medina and he made that happen. I wanted light snack for lunch and he took me to where locals eat. What a wonderful day!
When we returned to Sousse I wanted mosquito repellant and none of pharmacy near my hotel were open, Nadhmi drove out of his way to find me one before dropping me back!
If you are concerned about safety, I am female and he was a perfect gentleman. He more than deserved the huge tip I gave him.
Highly recommend this tour, especially if you have him as driver!

Excellent day out, with a very informative guide (Nadim). Comfortable new car, very clean and well driven. Nadim was a very safe driver in what can be a very confusing road system. His local knowledge and helpfulness were outstanding.

What a great tour! I can’t thank Nadhmi enough for being SO kind and accommodating. As a solo female traveller in another country, exploring places that are abit far away can sometimes be daunting but Nadhmi was so great.
He arrived on time to pick me up from my hotel and was very respectful making me feel at ease straight away. We stopped off to pick up a couple from a nearby hotel and headed to our destinations. He knew so much information and history, not to mention the best places to take our pictures and he gave us the time we needed, we were never rushed. As a content creator this was perfect! He even took some of my pictures for me, what a guy! Nadhmi also recommended the best places for food and souvenir's that offered great deals.
If you’re thinking about booking this tour, do it!! You will not regret it. I will definitely be booking another tour when I return to Tunisia! Thank you Nadhmi!

The tour was amazing! My friends and I had a lot of fun and really enjoyed our day out with Nadhmi. We visited the main attraction points and even did some shopping, it was great!
We went as a group of 3 women and felt extremely safe with him. He’s punctual, a safe driver and extremely knowledgable.
I’ll definitely book the tour again if I ever come back to Tunisia.

Nadhmi was a great tour guide. He provided to us a lot of nice information about visited places and Tunisia. It was a good balanced info.
Also, we had a wee coffee break and proper lunch. In all places Nadhmi gave us a bit time to explore more, or take photos. Strongly recommend excursions with him.

Everything was good. The Roman amphitheater is impressive! This is definitely one of the most powerful historical attractions in Tunisia. There was enough time for self-exploring. The tour includes a good lunch.

Had an absolutely amazing experience - enjoyed all the stops! Sidi Bou Said was beautiful and we were showed the best way through to avoid the crowds! Carthage was beautiful and we were told all about the history :) But personally I loved Tunis the most as I got to see the beautiful squares, mosques, and panorama view from the rooftops! I would recommend this to anyone who wants to see as much as they can in just one day!

Nadmi picked us on on time and we headed off to Hammamet to collect our 3rd passenger, who was French. Consequently, Nadmi had the tough job of translating between us as well as giving all of the facts during the tour in both French and English. He did a great job of this thereby making us all feel comfortable and included. Sidi Bou Said was beautiful and we had plenty of time at each of vistas for taking photos. After a short stop at a number of the ancient sites of Carthage we went for lunch at a marvellous restaurant in the lakeside area of Tunis which really catered for everyone’s tastes and requirements. That was a really pleasant extension of the day and we all enjoyed ourselves. After lunch we made our way to the medina of Tunis but as it was Sunday the souks were unusually quiet, which I welcomed as had been harassed in the souks of Monastir and Sousse previously, but this may be something to consider if you want the experience of the bustling market and lots of haggling. Finally we made our way back to Hammamet. With an impressive fortification right on the seafront it was a lovely place to wind up our tour with an ice cream and some souvenir shopping. Nadmi does not rush you at all and will accommodate any special requirements you may have. I can’t recommend this trip enough. Great value and a great day out.

This tour explores some of Tunisia’s highlights, which is a must when visiting this beautiful country.
You’re either travelling in a small group or privately with your own party, which is a huge advantage over the usual travel agency tour bus. This way you’re able to really see the sights while enjoying the comfort of an air conditioned car in between.

Our tour guide was Nadmi (male). He gave an unforgettable experience full of knowledge on history, culture, religion, traditions, geography, and even details and recommendations on food and shopping. I and my partner look at Tunisia in a much deep and more beautiful way now. He was very kind, warm, and knowledgeable. Started off a fantastic day
The tour guy I had already had took 2 French girls on 3 other trips so was already friendly with them which is fine no problem with that
But the afternoon it became obvious that they had planned a shopping afternoon to take certain things looking around everywhere until they got what they wanted
If I had wanted to do shopping wouldn’t have booked this trip but got dragged around while the 3 of them spoke in French
I booked this trip to do the excursion experience
So on my day wasn’t the trip I was looking forward to so very disappointing from dinner time onwards

I would like to remind you that all the explanations and informations were in English + French. what concerns the shopping done by the other two clients was during the passage in to the souks in the Medina during the stages included in the tour and we cannot prevent clients to buy some souvenirs..

The tour covered a lot of ground and we were able to see a lot of different aspects of Tunisian history and life, from the ancient city of Carthage to the modern capital of Tunis. The guide Nadhmi was able to provide us with a great deal of information about the history and culture of Tunisia and was very happy to answer any questions that we had. Overall, this was a great experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about Tunisia and its rich history and culture!
