Itinerary

Begin your day trip at the Sorrento port, where you’ll meet your private captain and climb aboard your leisure boa or traditional wooden vessel. Complimentary fruit, snacks and beverages are available on board should you opt for the speedboat, and both vessels are stocked with water.

Take off across the sparkling Bay of Naples, soaking up views of the island of Ischia and distant Mt Vesuvius as you travel toward Capri.

Stop to swim and sunbathe in secluded coves, some of which aren’t accessible by land. Check out the famed Faraglioni rock formations as well as the island’s hidden grottos.

Then enjoy some time to explore Capri by foot. Disembark and head into the center of town, strolling past the main square, whitewashed stone buildings and chic boutiques.

Your guide will recommend a local restaurant where you can have lunch at your own expense. When you’ve finished eating and sightseeing, hop back aboard and lounge on deck during the return journey to Sorrento.

This was the best tour that we had during our stay in Italy! Enrique' was an excellent tour guide and very flexible. He is knowledgable about the region and made excellent lunch reservations and taxi reservations for us on Capri. He is the BEST!

Capri island day trip

We had a wonderful skipper/guide! Pasquale was very patient with our older guests and very informative as he provided a lot of information and answered many random questions from our group. He took us to so many beautiful places around the island! Nothing to do with Pasquale but the restaurant we were dropped off at was less than desirable. The food was cold and the staff was very uninviting.

Great Day on the Water

We had a great day with Pascual. The boat was a relaxing way to spend the day. Note that you can do a cruise or a faster boat. The cruise took much longer to get to Capri, but you can enjoy sitting on the padded front deck and having some drinks (I’d suggest letting the guide know what you want in advance, and reimbursing them in addition to the tip). There are also faster boats that allow you to spend more time on Capri. Personal choice.

Our driver took us to an awesome, out of the way restaurant for our lunch. The limoncello was made by our food server’s mother! It was a wonderful day!

The water was a bit rough, but Captain Costanzo handled the boat well and his first mate, Chara, was a delight. The Blue grotto was closed, but we swam the Green grotto and relaxed at the White grotto. All snacks/drinks promised were available and very tasty. We did get randomly stopped by the harbor police...and again Capt Costanzo and Chara handled it well. Overall, a good trip!

(Many times the harbour police/Coast Guard randomly stop boats to make sure all is well, proper, legal, etc. Totally normal occurrence here for anyone who is reading this and may wonder why). The most beautiful day!

My wife and I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful day on our honeymoon. We were picked up on time by Luca and missed all of the queues and had a very relaxed start to the day. He then drove us all along the coastline before making our crossing to Capri. He was absolutely fantastic and was so knowledgeable about Sorrento and the coast too. Once we had made the very relaxing crossing to Capri, Luca took us around the sight seeing points where it became busier but due to us being on the private cruise it was very relaxing. Luca then put the anchor in and let us have a swim and snorkel around which was lovely. From there, he had already booked us in for lunch at an incredible restaurant on the sea at Marina Piccola. The best part was that lots of other boats were waiting to be collected by the dinghy's to take them ashore, however Luca had organised for the restaurant owner to pick us up himself and avoid any waiting around. The food was beautiful and had a lovely time. From there, Luca came to check on us at lunch and then showed us to the bus up which took us up to Capri town. We stayed for a couple of hours to see the key parts and views which was fantastic and then made our way back down to the boat. From there, Luca drove us around the island and back to Sorrento from there. We had the most relaxing and wonderful day and cannot thank the team enough. We would 100% recommend the private cruise to anyone visiting and will certainly be re-booking ourselves!

Our day was planned expertly by Exclusive Cruises's Valeria Carrano. She assigned Captain Lucca to us, who picked us up from Sorrento's Marina Piccola harbour in an adorable Italian gozzo. Our destination was to be the famed island of Capri. Lucca hugged the shoreline as he manoeuvered the boat out of the harbour towards the island so that we had a chance to see many intresting caves and grottos because as he said, the journey should be as exciting as the destination. All the while Lucca regaled us with the history of Sorrento, Naples, Capri, the Amalfi Coast and of many interesting sights that we passed en route. While we sailed we had a chance to sunbathe, take photographs and enjoy the soft drinks Lucca provided us on board. Once we reached Capri, we were taken by a shuttle boat to the famous Bagni Tiberio restaurant for an excellent lunch I recommed the seafood risotto and french fries and were given the opportunity to enjoy their beach and swim. Later Lucca took us to the Capri Marina where we met the driver of our pre-arranged open top taxi. The taxi driver was a very nice gentleman who took us slowly up the winding 'Mamma Mia' road to the chair lift station. He allowed us to take many photos en route and gave us a lot of information about Capri. The chair lift up to Monte Solario and back down offered spectacular views of the island and even Mt. Vesuvius! The top of Monte Solario has a cafe, souvenir shop and many great places from where photographs of the blue expanse of sea and coast can be taken. After our descent, we were taken to Capri's main town and allowed some free time to explore the piazza and key highlights on our own. The return journey via gozzo back to Sorrento with Captain Lucca was as spectacular because the sun was lower and the sea had a different colour and a cool breeze had set in. Needless to say we had a truly memorable day all thanks to Valeria, Lucca and the taxi driver at Capri. I must mention that in all our excitement, my husband forgot his waterproof mobile phone case in Lucca's boat and realised it only when we reached our Sorrento Hotel. On hearing what had happened and despite living quite a while away from Sorrento, Lucca took the trouble to travel all the way to our Hotel the next day and drop off my husband's phone case. Little things like this, say much about a human being. This tour has everything to offer and more- activities on water and land....we loved every minute of the day and didn't want our experience to end! Moreover Exclusive Cruises's clear understanding of all our requirements and seamless organisation of every experience is what made this Tour unforgettable! El capitan jamas nos ofreció bebidas , siendo que estaba estipulado que el barco contaba con gaseosas y agua , El calor era agobiante y la lona que hace de toldo se desplegó la mediodía solo unos 20 minutos. El barco no tenia toallas, que también estaba incluido en el precio. Fue mas un barco taxi que una excursión , su precio elevado por el escaso servicio ofrecido . El mismo traslado puede contratarse desde Sorrento por menos de un tercio del precio pagado.
