I would highly recommend this tour. You are given 2 hours at each location which is a perfect amount of time to look around, eat an amazing italian meal and have a quick swim.

Very straight forward and a very enjoyable day. Great comms in advance meant collecting tickets was simple. The ship was not over crowded and had good facilities. We had plenty of time to explore both Positano and Amalfi. Overall very good value for money and a lovely experience seeing incredible scenery.

It was a disaster. I don't care if they take many people out on similar trips like this everyday who have a great time...we didn't get to go anywhere but the port in Sorrento. Neither Viator or the provider have shown the correct level of customer service to us since the 'non event' we feel we should have a full refund but it is being refused.
We had booked a trip for 9:45, had that conformed then got told to be there 9:30am, we were there in plenty of time then just left standing, with a number of other people, waiting with no information as to why boats came in and left and we went nowhere...when people booked on the same trip for 10:20am were started to be loaded onto a boat...we gave up and left. We explained we had been standing in full heat for too long with no explanation as to when our boat would arrive...we are suspicious it did but it was already very full as one had some people put on and left or they accidently loaded the 10:20am group befor us although we were not confirmed either of these being the case so we don't know!
Viator customer service were useless frankly, did not put our complaint forward correctly...said we could not find the boar....we told them...we're in right place in ample time...NO BOAT - NOT that we couldn't find one!
The tour operator, although agreeing we were in time and in right place offered us another trip next day...we explained we could not go as leaving next day...so they all just said no refund.
If they do take as many as they say everyday....they must make enough money from people who do go on a trip.....So they should refund people who had the experience we did.
I have no doubt others standing there did eventually go and have a good trip but we did not.
Disgraceful customer service from Viator & the Tour Provider!

thank you for your feedback, it gives infact to me the chance to reply you as already described via whatsapp. This case was really strange. You simply decided to go away leaving the port even if all the other guests leaved regularly. So I still have not understood why you refused to leave with the boat that leaved as evert day with all the guests on board. It seems you were frustrated for the time waiting for the boat? It's so strange, it's normal waiting for a departure. Sorry but can be normal a refund for something you decided not to do last minute for incomprehensible reasons?It's not normal in every corner of the world because if you decide to book a tour you go and you make it, that's all. So I don't know what happened with your morning day but it wasn't our fault and all these things I've to read in this review are quite offensive for our job, the correspondant's job in Sorrento that confirmed me your punctuality and your strange behaviour and in general it's useful to remark for other guests that want to leave. After many years of work I understand we are human and we can change ideas but in your words there's simply not specified the reason why you went away from the harbour. In the end as already asked via whatsapp, there's no message or request by your side between 9:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. as already sent to viator. No request and so no assistance even if I'm always available for any request. Best regards dear guest but there's nothing disgraceful here except your bad decision!

Finding the right ticket desk to redeem the voucher was not straight forward and we were sent to 4 different desks before eventually being helped to find our seats weren’t booked. Thankfully there was space!! But leave plenty of time in order to get tickets sorted

This was not as advertised, described as a small party mini cruise. Definitely not about 300 herded on the boa. NOT a a cruise, effectively a ferry that you fight and I mean fight to get back on at Positano and Amalfi. Crew were simply read - do not book this!

Dear Pete, I'm sorry to read this review. But it affect not to our tour (1 star but I didn't receive any message from you) but is more related to overtourism that in Amalfi and in Positano it can be calculated during summer time. So being also psychologist after many years of tourism, I understand that your expectations were different but I can guarantee you it's the same for every kind of boat in Amalfi Coast during this period. If you book a private boat of course is different but it has another price. I think it's not correct to give us 1 star also because we have never described as a small party minicruise, if you can read somewhere please let me know. It's called since several years minicruise because it allows you to visit 2/3 destinations in 1 day without traffic, stress and accidents that make slow you tour in Amalfi Coast. So at the end of this review uncorrect, I'm sorry if you stressed so much and you get lot of stress. If you think giving us 1 star you feel better, well I'm happy for you but: 1. you didn't send me any message to explore your problem together; 2. you are offending our job talking about overtourism that it's a traveller's choice. So really I don't know what to tell you being always available to any kind of good and clever relation related to problem solving with every single guest.

Exactly as described, ferry ride between two stops.
But no guidance given for what to do or where to go in each town so best to have a plan ahead of time.

Dear Suzy, dear travellers, there's not mention of any guide in this tour, I could understand a different review in case I could mention it but there's no guide and you were aware about that buying this tour, it's a pity for us because we always sednd digital book of 80 pages in english and two digital maps of Positano and Amalfi that you donìt mention, sorry but if it was pleasent why 3 stars instead of 5? Sometimes after several years of tourism I understand that the trip starts from your mind but if you book something you know what you buy, about the rest I really cannot understand why touristic operators so well reviews everywhere are marked in this way, this is a no sense review, sorry

I don't recommens! Be aware!
1. As per voucher the tour guide should meet us at meeting point and give ua thw tixkets and guide us to dock number - WASN'T THERE!!! We almost lost the trip trying to find it by our own. He sent us an image with a ticket office where Selmar company we traveled was't written! Nobody knows about Selmar or they didn't want to help!!! When I tried to call for clarifications didn't answer .. too busy to with other things than doing his small job.
2. The tour isn't like you imagine.. just a ferry from Sorrento to Posita o and Amalfi.
Having a bath in positano does.not.let you bath from the boat. They will drop you in Positano and pay 40 euro / person to get a spot.on the crowded beach.
The tour descriptuon is missleading and the italian operatour tour service does not exist, you should do it on your own!!!!

I received offensive message via whatsapp and this is not correct if I give all the instructions days before, this means few attention to all the infosheet and infact the 100% of our guests leave positive reviews on that and on the tour. 2. Our presence is never mentioned on the platform but our corrispondent is there to receive every single guest. 3. The name of the company here written is wrong so this is a problem connecting to the reading of the voucher super clear it's not more my fault but probably I can understand you didn't read nothing and so some panic took yourself and so this is the result of you psycological state of mind made of nervous feelings but reading again the voucher and asking to somebody everything was clear and easy; 4. I couldnt' answer anymore to your messages because of low battery, it never happens but you had all the instructions and say "small job" it's offensive" and ridicolous and describes perfectly the kind of guest we receveid...;5. There s not mentions of bath from the boat but once you stop you can, always few reading and few attention...6. The travel agency exists and receive lot of positive feedback every day, my question dear guest why didnt' you ask on the day before your doubts? Why you didnt' read anything and then you get lost? It's a pity to not attach your offensive words via whatsapp. After all the explanations showing also you were wrong and you made confusion you didnt' answer us anymore, so your behaviour was not correct and not aware of nothing but leaving in a tour in a adventorous style so if a traveller is not responsible get your consequences. Once the boat got going and the breeze started it was very pleasant. Thankfully we got a seat but many didn't 1.5 hrs to Positano. Really helpful lady serving drinks at your seats throughout the cruise. Crazy on return from Amalfi though...a real bun fight to get in the right line. All in all you get what you pay for, long day but it was fine.

Very good for a visit to Amalfi and Positano. The boat was excellent and comfortable but be prepared for chaos at the docks. This is not the fault of this tour but due to the large crowds for multiple boats.

Positano is a port that needs to be avoided. There is only one docking space large enough to accommodate ferry size boats. We had to wait on the dockside for 1hour 20min till our onward ferry had a slot to dock and let us embark. Problem here was absolutely no shelter and a blazing 25degree C. This is totally utterly ridiculous to expect people to wait in sun for this length of time.
On the positive side, the crew are great and Almalfi was good even though it was a bit on the expensive side.
It's better to tour by coach/minibus.

Dear Anthony, thank you for your review. Unfortunately what you describes it refers to port conditions and not to our tour. Amalfi coast is a paradise but I will always suggest by the sea because by driving or by bus you can find some traffic on the way and difficulty to find a parking. Overall going as a passenger by bus you could feel bad because of the road. The minicruise is a solution light going by the sea. Best regards, Luca

This is nothing but a ferry ride with commuters getting on and off during your ride. Packed with people, no description of anything you are passing. I arranged this for 11 family members including my 97 year old mother. It was very difficult for everyone. I am aware that it was not a private tour but the advertising leads you to believe that it is a small ( "mini" as in the title) boat just for people to visit Amalfi and Positano while viewing the coastline. Not even close.....I could have purchased a ticket at the ticket booth for less $. The "tour operator" communicated with me several times, gave me his name and made it seem very personal. We waited on long lines just like any ticket holder. The "mini cruise" also made a stop to let off and pick up other commuters at an undisclosed place not on our "Tour".The company would not even consider a partial refund. Never booking with them again.

Dear Patricia, I'm really sorry to read this review, but I need to answer immediately for two reasons: the first one is for all the travellers that leave us only positive reviews booking the same service and because we believe in our work and probably you had different expectations such as a kind of private tour that is not mentioned anywhere. And honestly the request of reimbursement was unceptable. Let's analyze:
1. This is a minicruise with travellers and guests from all over the world leaving from Sorrento. The cruise is for 5000 persons going over Mediterranean this is the reason why is called "minicruise". No false advertising: the workers need to be on time early in the morning so this is not true, but for sure it's not a private boat and I've never mention about this as private tour in the platform, sorry but I don't understand;
2. You mentioned your mother making the trip with you of 97 years: if there's a target we take care is of elderly people for who we have high respect but of course visiting Amalfi Coast by walking you should know it's not easy for people who have problems with mobility but it's not a Cruise where you sit and see just the panorama with lunch on board (nothing is mentioned infact) but a simple minicruise such as a bateau mouche to stop in two of the most beautiful destinations of Amalfi Coast, Positano and Amalfi with a stop of 2h for each one.
For all our guests is clear and it's our topseller ful of positive reviews everywhere.Then if you wanted to receive detailed explanations there are digital audioguides you can buy with extracost or professional guides to visit together the destinations paying extracost. About booking on the spot you are paying a reservation on line with taxes included like in every corner of the world with attractions sold on the main international platform such as Viator connecting providers of services with guests, nothing new;
3. I'm Luca and I'm the director of Discover South and I work in this sector since more than 10 years. I follow every single guest from the beginning until the end and I made the same also for you, nothing different but special for the valu we give to everybody. Of course our voucher need to be changed as every ticket you buy on line for every destination also in Naples port or in Sorrento Port, first of all you show your voucher then you receive tickets. And I explained everything before as always.
For all these reasons already explained privately - but as I see probably I was not clear - a reimbursement for your different expectations that not correspond in any side to our platform is not right for our work and for the services we provided but also quite offensive.
I'm sorry for your experience, if you will come back again I will organize a taylor made tour as you want but I cannot accept this review and the request of reimbursement.

Very crowded. Rush. Only 2h to explore each town. Basically this is a ferry ticket, but more expensive than what you can buy directly from the company’s website.

Dear Alina, thank you for your review, I'm sorry if this tour didn't satisfy your expectations, anyway there's specified a double stop in Positano and in Amalfi. This tour by minicruise is confortable because you can avoid traffic by car and stress looking for a parking during summer time. So it's a kind of bateau mouche because you can sit outside and look to all the Sorrento and Amalfi Coast by the sea. Paying tax for promotion it's normal to pay something more but with the guarantee to have a place on board that is not guaranteed once you go to the ticket office. This is the reason why we appreciate if every single guest book in advance. Anyway I can guarantee that for the price you have paid you cannot find cheaper alternative but more expensive with small group for sure but having exactly the same time. This is a positive option for couples, families and groups to spend the right price visiting three destinations in one day also staying in Naples and coming back by train. I like to be always clear and I'm sad if I wasnt' able to give you some relax time as you had in your mind but I hope now everything is more clear for you and for all travellers that could choice this option. Nous avons trouvé le bateau un peu vétuste au regard du prix que nous avons payé. Quant au retour nous avons eu un petit bateau et franchement c’était très très moyen voir nul. Donc je ne recommanderais pas le site car il est décevant.

Pour le prix c'est le prix normale que on trouve sur toutes les platforms internationals. Mais je suis desolee aussi parce que j'ai envoye vous un message comme pour toutes mes clients et jamais j'ai recu aucune info chez vous, aussi cette critique, je pouvais savoir tout en advance aussi pour essayer de connaitre le problem (de notre bureau nous suivons par whatsapp toutes les clients).

Molto deludente! Non si tratta di una mini crociera , ma di un acquisto di biglietti per battelli di lina, cosa che si può fare benissimo ala biglietteria o online da soli, per di più scegliendo gli orari .
Inoltre abbiamo dovuto fare il viaggio di ritorno da Amalfi a Sorrento in piedi, perché la barca era strapiena.

Gentile Sig. Enrico, come già comunicato via whatsapp dopo la lettura della sua recensione, è necessario da parte mia in qualità di Direttore dell'Agenzia e Rappresentante di un'impresa che lavora sulla qualità un chiarimento sia di carattere generale con riferimento al tour per il pubblico che legge e prenota la nostra Minicruise, sia di carattere particolare con riferimento alla sua recensione scritta in risposta alla richiesta di Viator ma che non ha tenuto conto della possibilità di comunicare direttamente con noi che seguiamo ogni ospite dall'inizio alla fine del tour. Per queste ragioni sarà necessario procedere per punti:
1. Viene definita "Minicrociera" questo insieme di 3 passaggi marittimi con partenza da Sorrento e doppia sosta a Positano e ad Amalfi con rientro finale a Sorrento per la capacità di navigare lungo la costa in una giornata con 3 destinazioni.
Può chiamarli anche "battelli di linea" come mi ha descritto telefonicamente dopo la mia telefonata di richieste di delucidazioni, ma ciò non toglie che rappresenta il modo più dolce per visitare la Costiera Amalfitana dal mare, senza stress, senza la necessità di cercare parcheggi o attendere alle fermate del bus.
Ovviamente non è e non può essere una crociera di quelle classiche che conosciamo, nè un servizio privato che solitamente viene riservato a gruppi prenotanti in via esclusiva o per piccole imbarcazioni. Si tratta di un battello grande, non di un aliscafo, capace di contenere molte persone a bordo e cambia a seconda dei flussi provenienti da Sorrento e successivamente da Positano ed Amalfi. Da ciò ho dedotto che la sua delusione è legata ad una interpretazione errata della medesima che però viene compresa dal 98% dei nostri ospiti, tuttavia facciamo tesoro del suo feedback (ingiusto comunque e ne spiegherò i motivi più avanti);
2. Sminuire il lavoro di un'agenzia di viaggi è disdicevole. La domanda sorge spontanea: se avesse potuto farli da solo i biglietti on line o sul posto, perchè non ha proceduto in tal senso?
Le agenzie aiutano gli ospiti a semplificare il lavoro in ogni destinazione e così è stato, grazie alla piattaforma nella quale siamo presenti e ad un voucher di prenotazione, accompagnato tra l'altro da materiali digitali gratuiti inviati via whatsapp che ha omesso di menzionare e che non le sarebbero necessariamente dovuti ma che rappresentano tuttavia un piccolo omaggio per supportare il suo viaggio con mappe e un libro in pdf di 80 pagine sulla Costiera Amalfitana;
3. Il viaggio di ritorno da Amalfi a Sorrento in piedi: è evidente che le destinazioni in oggetto siano prese d'assalto da un turismo nazionale e internazionale e il viaggio a bordo del battello non prevede l'assegnazione di posti a sedere numerati ma del solo viaggio a bordo con posto libero come avviene in tanti microbattelli che navigano sia in Italia che per escursioni brevi nel Mediterraneo (Grecia etc). Sarebbe auspicabile anticiparsi sempre rispetto all'orario del meeting point se ci si vuole accomodare, un po' come avviene per treni locali regionali. Quindi a maggior ragione, ancora una volta, non riteniamo giusto questo feedback nei nostri confronti avendo messo a disposizione non solo le nostre competenze e il nostro tempo ma anche la consueta disponibilità via whatsapp a raccogliere eventuali note che sarebbero potuto giungere tranquillamente alla nostra attenzione spontaneamente.
Continueremo a definirla minicrociera perchè resta la formula più sostenibile per visitarla dal mare e la meno inquinante in assoluto considerando i gas di scarico di bus e auto giornalieri e la grande quantità di ospiti che può trasportare a bordo senza fatica e senza dispendio di energie e costi ulteriori legati al tragitto via strada (senza considerare le numerose possibilità di incidenti di percorso e quindi di traffico conseguenziale che ne deriva).
Per questo rimarchiamo la nostra reputazione on line di sole 5 stelle su tutti i nostri canali che non è messa in discussione da un punto di vista che resta molto parziale ma soprattutto frutto - in conclusione - di un'interpretazione e di un'aspettativa errata e lontana dal reale.
