At first we were bit cautious about this trip but after boarding the bus we were convinced that it was a right choice. Everything was flawless thanks to Jack, our excellent guide. Boat ride through the floating village, mangrove forest were all excellent but watching sunset on the lake, simply amazing. We would highly recommend this trip.

Probably one of the best trips we have done and we have travelled around the world. We had a really good tour guide - Happy Tear and he is from the area and was really informative and knowledgeable and I would absolutely recommend this trip to anyone. When you get to the mangroves there is an extra $5.50 pp to be taken around on a canoe and this is well worth it, there are some great instagram photos to be had upstairs in this location. 4000 people live here and it was an experience I will not forget.

We had a great experience on our tour! Our guide Mr Chong treated everyone like family and the driver Hansom got us everywhere safely and on schedule. The mangrove tour was absolutely beautiful and the sunset views from the second floor of our boat were stunning. We had our 12 year old with us and everything felt safe and super friendly.

What I liked a bit less was the visit of the village: a flow of tourists walking in the village, even inside the school while the kids were studying.
I don't know, could this be avoided and sharing their spaces with tourists at the same time?

Our tour to Kampong Phluk Floating Village with Mr. Jack was an excellent and memorable experience.
From the very beginning, he was welcoming, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the local culture and daily life. He also has a special sense of humour that set a light, positive tone throughout the entire journey, making the experience not only informative but genuinely fun.
One of the highlights was his recommendation to take the extra small-boat tour through the flooded mangrove forest. This was absolutely worth it — it elevated the whole experience to another level. Drifting quietly through the mangroves and getting close to the villagers in their daily environment was deeply touching and gave us a more intimate connection to the community.
The main boat ride through the floating village was well-organized, smooth, and perfectly balanced between sightseeing and learning. Mr. Jack’s explanations were clear and engaging, and his warm personality made us feel comfortable at all times.
A meaningful and unforgettable way to explore Kampong Phluk — highly recommended!

A big thank you to Chong for an amazing experience! Absolutely recommend that you pay the extra to go through the mangrove forest and through the village. This is a must do if you are visiting siem reap. Chong was very helpful and informative.

The Kampong Phluk Floating Village tour is a must see experience. The tour itself was a unique experience to see the heart of the Cambodian people and their lifestyle. The stilted houses and restaurants were incredibly interesting to see. It was incredible to envision what the space would look like during the rainy season.
The boat ride through the flooded mangroves was beautiful and serene.
Our guide made trip even more exciting as he was knowledgeable, engaging and had a great sense of humor. We liked that not only did he share history and inform of the culture if the village, but also shared a bit of himself...as he spoke about his grandfather.
Overall I highly recommend this tour and our guide Jack!

We visited the floating villages with Meng & driver James Bond. As it was dry season we were able to walk through the village which enabled us to have a fascinating I sight I to the lives of the people that live in the village. We then headed out into the lake to go to a floating restaurant where you were able to buy drinks & watch the sunset.
Excellent tour & Meng was able to give us lots of info all through the trip. He has an amazing ability to remember everyone's name on the trip. (18)

We had a lovely time visiting the floating village with our guide Mang and his driver Mr Playboy (who has too many girlfriends). We got to see a very special part of Cambodia including an intimate look at how the people in the village live. The sunset lake cruise was wonderful and we’d like to thank Mang for making a short trip to Siem Reap into something truly special we will never forget.

We took the afternoon and sunset tour of Tonle Sap (the lake) and the Floating Village community. This was highly educational and one saw how the people in this community live and depend on the tourists who visit them. You walk past stilted buildings and houses and schools. You take boat rides. And, go to a floating restaurant.
This is a small group tour. About 7 of us were in this tour.

Amazing small group trip to the floating village. Our guide Meng was super enthusiastic and shared interesting facts about the village and the people there and Cambodia in general.
Due to the water level we were even able to walk some steps within a part of the village. This was amazing!
The boat ride was also awsome especially the sun set on the lake.
There was an optional activity a short canu ride (it was just 5.50$ per Person), however it was not really worth it. We made it to support the local woman but the canu ride itself was neither beautiful nor long…
Also a special thanks to our great Mini-Van Driver Tha who ensured a safe journey and provided much needed cold water for us.

Our guide, Paul, looked after us very well. The visit to the village market was really interesting and he negotiated us onto the big boat and the canoe very quickly. It was very busy at the floating village so his guidance was really useful. Interesting place with a beautiful sunset. Paul was enthusiastic and entertaining. Very enjoyable.

Our guide Meng made this trip truly memorable. His enthusiasm and love of his country shone through. To be able to walk through local markets and taste different fruits and see how the local people trade was something special. Visiting the people in the floating village was also a highlight. To be able to walk through the village and see kids playing and others learning in school was a memory that will never be forgotten.

Perfect experience so far. The guide is quite nice, helpfull, caring for customers and gave us such a lot of information about the lake and life of people there. The van is very clean, the driving is safe and they picked up us on time at the hotel.

I recommend this tour. Our tour guide, Adam, was great. He gave good background information, was very friendly, and made sure that we had a good experience. July is not the best time for this visit as water levels were low, but even so, if you are in Siem Reap in July, you should take this tour to get a feel for life in that part of the country. I highly recommend.

This was a great tour, would highly recommend. You get to see how the locals live and see the amazing floating village. This village is not as crowded and you get a canoe ride through the flooded forest for an extra $5 each, which was great. Then onto the open Lake and watch the sunset if it's not too cloudy.

Deze tour is ons erg tegen gevallen. We hebben deze tour gekozen vanwege een kleine groep, echter werden er meerdere groepen samen op een boot gezet (30 man) Wij hoorden dat andere mensen op dezelfde boot de helft minder betaalden, dan wat wij betaald hadden.
De tour zelf bestond uit een kort bezoek aan de markt en vervolgens een boottocht. Tijdens de boottocht van 1,5 uur, werd er meer dan een half uur gestopt bij een restaurant en kon je voor extra geld op een roeibootje voor 10 minuten. Ook hier was het lang wachten totdat iedereen terug was en verder konden.
Kortom, dit is het geld niet waard. Grote groep mensen, kort varen, lang stilstaan.
Echt een grote teleurstelling.
