We regrettably cannot remember our guide’s name as it has been a few days since this transfer from Shanghai Airport, on Maglev train & then transfer to our hotel. In short, this is the ONLY transfer to do if you are new to mainland China. Our guide met us on time after we went through immigration. Super efficient, good English, seamless transfers by train & car, welcoming & helpful! He clearly loves his job. What a great feeling getting to our hotel with such ease & professionalism. This is a no brainer 10/10.

I highly recommend this especially for those visiting Shanghai for the first time. The driver patiently waited for me for an hour due to some delay at immigration. He was very knowledgeable and very professional. He took excellent photos of me on the Maglev train which was a great experience!

The first part was very nice, our guide waited for us on exit and lead us to Maglev, presented it as the only one in the world sic!. The trip was indeed lean and fast, and it is worth to take the Maglev, but no guide is really needed.
At Maglev exit, we waited for the car to take us to the hotel, and all the time our guide had a very long chat with the driver, only in Chinese, ignoring us completely.
They left us at the wrong hotel - also I previously sent by email the exact name and address of the hotel in English and our guide confirmed to me verbally the correct address when we started the car trip to the hotel! The only excuse he has is that the hotel main name was almost the same, Metropolo vs Metropole, and our luck was that the real one was close enough to go by foot with our luggage - like only 500 meters.
Not related to the tour, but the receptionist from the wrong hotel guided us also wrong. So you should heavily rely on the offline maps to succeed :

This is how you make a grand entrance into a city! Our guide was there waiting for us, directed us out of the busy airport to the Maglev platform where we had the ride of our lives. The train was clean, sleek, and everything we had heard. It was a great experience and a must do if visiting China!

What a great idea we had when we booked this tour, the traffic in Shanghai is horrible and Pudong airport is like 50km away from the city, with the maglev train the trip takes 7 minutes or so..... at the airport, our guide Tom was waiting for us our flight had been delayed 2 hours, great guy, he talked to us the whole time, giving useful information and facts about Shanghai, then a private car picked us up, Tom came with us until we arrived to our hotel. I would buy this transfer everytime I came to Shanghai

I espected a super-high speed, as advertised, maximum normal operation of 430 kph 268 MPH, but it only goes at 300 KPH. Then, the ride is not so confortable, silent and quiet as the Japanese Shinkansen bullet train 240 to 320 KPH normal speed -maximum 400 KPH. Apart of this, the guide was very helpful and nice with us. He received us at the airport's gate, and delivered to the door of our hotel.

For never having been to Shanghai and having no idea how to get around, this was a great first introduction. Met at the airport by a friendly guide and escorted the entire way to the hotel in maglev and then a nice car.

As a lone traveler, having someone waiting on me and accompanying me until I reached my husband was absolutely priceless. My guide was patient, knowledgeable, and assured me that he had everything under control. I would definitely recommend this if travelling to a foreign country, especially if alone and for the first time.

Was a no-show. I would give it zero starts, but not an option. We were looking for a long time for someone holding a sign with our name in the reception hall at the airport. Very frustrating after a 15 hour flight. Save your money and take a taxi instead. Have your hotel email you their address written in Chinese and bring it along with you. Show it to the taxi driver. Much more reliable. We are now out the 's and unable to receive a response from Viator after many attempts. Lesson learned. Do not pay for any tours upfront.

Everything was excellent the young lady who meet us at the gate was very polite and took good care of us as this is the first time for my family to experience and bullet train ride from Pudong airport to downtown. unfortunately the van that was suppose to pick us all up broke down and ended we had to help push start.
Overall, was an excellent experience.

The Maglev train was interesting and the greeter very friendly. I am glad I was aware the ride was only 7 minutes long or I would be very disappointed. The price was excessive and the long van ride to the hotel in a dirty, smelly, old van was not up to Viator standards. In short, I would NOT recommend this to others or do it again on a future trip to Shanghai.

Very average service - guide on arrival offered no help with luggage , walked ahead at pace as if the train was going to leave without us , and disappeared to the loo at the station , pick up vehicle was no more than a van with seats - and with exhaust fumes, only conversation en route to hotel was a sell of other trips and shows etc. which was the last thing I wanted at 7 in morning with jetlag
very disappointing , and not good value.

Efficient greeting and escorting to the hotel via the Maglev by a guide who spoke good English, accompanied us in to the desk to confirm the correct destination, but disappeared without showing teh slightest expectation of a tip.

Very good . The guide was there even though the flight was delayed. Reached hotel fast. Only need to travel light as have to carry the baggage to train station on escalators.

A complete an utter disaster, waited in airport for over an hour before local agent sent a non english speaking person to collect and take us to our hotel. Had to walk through the airport, down stairs and onto the train, he gave no assistance to us with our luggage. Waste of money and time.

The meet and greet was very efficient, and the girl who met us friendly and had excellent English. My only gripe is that instead of taking us directly to our hotel we were taken to other sights and shops, such as a pearl market. We really weren't interested as we had been travelling for over 20 hours.

What a way to get to the city, hassle free and very smooth. Met at the door from the train, luggage taken for us, and followed the guide to the train station, where we boarded the bullet train, in the city within 15 minutes. Then met by our taxi driver who transferred us to our hotel. Totally recommend, takes the stress away, also a plus when you don't know where to go. A great experience and will do again when we next visit Shanghai.
