Itinerary

Begin your in-depth tour of Seoul's culinary scene with pickup at your city lodgings around 10am. In your tour vehicle, head for the Noryangjin fish market, the largest wholesale fish market in Seoul. Walk up and down the aisles bursting with the day's catch, learning about the locals' favorite seafood and dishes. Pick something out to take to your lunch spot, where it will be prepared fresh for you.

Following your seafood lunch, visit The Corner Cafe in Mt Bukak. This cafe is a favorite with locals both for its food and its role as a setting for many Korean movies. Continue to Bukak Pavilion, which boasts dramatic views over the city and its surrounds.

Head for the Insadong antique street to sample some typical Korean street food. Dig in to chicken skewers, dumplings and Korean pancakes; learn about the most popular foods and vendors from your guide.

At the wholesale beef market in Majangdong, engage in the common local practice of picking out some beef to be cooked for your dinner. Sit down for a typical Korean-style charcoal beef barbecue dinner.

After dinner, your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel around 7pm.

We spent the day with Steven and had so much fun. By doing this tour we saw many places we would have been unable to go on our own. The food was fantastic. Steven made the tour great he told us lots of things about the food, Korea in general and lots of interesting and funny stories. This is your was our family's favorite part of our Korea trip. We loved the fish market and got to enjoy so much seafood. The tea house was wonderful and a great photo opportunity. The street food was amazing and the dinner was one we will never forget. We loved it all! Our guide was the best.

This is the highlight of our week long Seoul trip. We have learned the detail of the Korean culinary culture in one day. Henry the guide made this tour memorable with explaining the tidbits of Korean cuisine. We love all the locations we have visited that day, such as the Noryangjin seafood market, the Gwangjang market, Insadong, the Sanmotoonge Cafe which sits high with spectacular views of Seoul while enjoying afternoon coffee and a light dessert was unbelievable.Our family really enjoy this tour.
