I had a cute and cozy experience. The teacher was kind and patient and walked me through each step and helped me practice the strokes before I was to write on a scroll. They also served warm tea (and with the rain outside) this was such a beautiful experience.
Such a fun experience! Great way to learn about Korean history and tradition, and also get to participate in an activity.
Learning calligraphy was very relaxing and enjoyable. The scroll that I produced was a lovely pattern.

This class was so fun! It was very interesting to learn about the history of Hangul, and the teacher was very kind. You get to practice writing characters, your name, and a phrase of your choice. Easy to follow along in English! I highly recommend.

Fantastic class experience! Our teacher was very kind, helpful, and knowledgable! While I spoke Korean, my mom and sister did not and she was able to help teach them the alphabet along with the history and art of calligraphy in English! Instructions and teaching were easy to follow and all of our questions were answered! We had a wonderful time practicing and then making our final product! Everyone was extremely satisfied with our final pieces and had a lovely time chatting and drinking tea with our teacher. I would highly recommend this to anyone traveling to Seoul!
Very nice experience! Jeongju is a patience teacher that will start with some theory and the basics of the Hangul letters. Then you can practice with the letters, your name and a message. You end up with a creation of your own (scroll with message) as a remembrance.
Jeoungju was helpful and encouraging in something new. She made the experience relaxing and enjoyable. Would certainly recommend the experience.
One of the highlights of my vacation in Seoul was taking this class. I enjoyed every second of the class and felt relaxed and creative. The ambiance is perfect and I learned so much in during my time in the class. It was a bit magical and creating my own scroll to bring home is something I cherish quite a bit. I highly recommend this activity to individuals (solo traveler), groups, families and friends.
Calligrapher Kim was knowledgeable, warm, and very patient. Her skill in calligraphy was excellent and she helped us understand what we were doing. She showed me how to change the spacing and the size of the words depending on the meaning.
This calligraphy class with Helen is a wonderful way to spend a couple hours in Seoul. You learn about the South Korean language and its design in a chill studio. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I was able to make a nice looking scroll. This experience fits in perfectly before a nice night out in Seoul.
