Amara was a delight who clearly has a passion for the subject at hand and great knowledge of the general history of Seattle. It was an easy walk around the Pike Place Market neighborhood, but if you're mobility challenged, this one's not for you (many flights of stairs down, and a few streets with heavy inclines to traverse). This was the only tour I could find that operated nearby in the evening hours, so fit well with my schedule! There wasn't MUCH to see but there were PLENTY of stories heard. I was quite satisfied.

It was fun! We walked around and stopped at different historical buildings. The guide told us the stories of some people who lived in them along with ghost stories people have said about them! It was entertaining, but I think for the money it should be a little longer maybe?

My wife and I have done tons of ghost tours around the country and this was probably the worst one we've ever been on, sadly the second worst was from this same company.
The guide was pretty much some random guy they had hired. He was incredibly awkward and very hard to hear. The entire time he just seemed to be reciting random crimes in the area from memory with little to no tie in to ghosts or haunting. Half the time he had a weird smile on his face as he told the stories as if he found the entire tour funny.
What makes tours like this fun is a guide that has personality, character, and at least a mild interest/belief in the paranormal. This guy had none of that. If we could have left part way through and gotten a refund we would have.
Another tour group from the same tour/company passed us towards the end of the tour and their guide seemed to be another random hire with little to no interest in anything he was discussing.
The only upside of the tour is that it was a nice way to walk around the city and see a few cool areas at night, but at the point you might as well book a walking tour.

A great experience, perfect for the Halloween season! Filled with interesting and macabre facts about Seattle, wonderfully shared with humor and spirit by our amazing tour guide. As a long-time Seattle resident, I learned some great insights about the history of Seattle and gained a new appreciation for the landmarks I've passed by so many times before.
A few steep parts (that's Seattle!) but nothing too bad. It's an all-weather event (also like Seatttle!), so best to be prepared as well.

Overall, it was a very nice tour with Michael. Michael has an excellent story telling voice. His energy commands an audience (in a positive way) and the stories are scripted in a clear and concise way, so everything is easy to follow. Michael also shows great situational awareness. As may be expected with any late-night Seattle tour, there can be some rough encounters with Seattleites who are not in the best of sorts. Michael swiftly and politely moved us away from some unexpected visitors, changing his narration with ease. Considerations: If you've never been to Seattle, just keep in mind there could be some extensive stairs (30+ at time) and some significant hills to challenge along the route. As long as you have a good pair of walking shoes and a moderate level of fitness, you should be fine. Suggestions: If allowed by the city, the tour company may consider using a microphone and speaker. Speaking loudly doesn't always mean adequate projection. Given the tour is an open are surrounded by a variety of different sounds, a speaker would have been nice on more than one occasion.

This is just a very average tour. I didn’t want to leave a review, but Viator kept spamming me so here it goes. The tour guide was very nice and the tour time worked well for our schedule, leaving the areas quiet and unobstructed. However, most of the stories were not captivating and very basic - “employees say weird stuff happens at night.” Of course when you visit later in your trip and talk to the employees, they have no idea what you’re talking about lol. While these tours are meant to be entertaining and not taken seriously, I can’t say it was truly entertaining.

We joined quite a large group for a 7 PM tour, but tour guide started and ended on time which was a testament to being able to lead us in and around the market/downtown area. A consequence though was that the tour did feel quite rushed. Our guide spoke quite quickly, so you had to really be paying attention to catch the stories he told. You could tell the script was memorized as he zoomed through, it almost felt like he just wanted to get through it. Details were lost. Moreover, at times you could not hear unless you were standing quite close (both due to size of group and the bustling nature of the area we were in). It was fine, but I have been to better.

long winded stories, the guide went way over time. we were given an EMF reader that usually “costs extra” and did nothing to enhance the experience. as a skeptic I expect theatrics to be sold on a device like this - when we alerted the guide it had changed colors he made zero attempt to explain or feign interest for a so called paranormal enthusiast. you are mostly standing on active sidewalks, I did not feel the guide was mindful about keeping streets clear for passersby and was speaking way louder than needed for a group of four people - I was ready for someone to shout at us from a window. the guide also gave a loud and long rendition of stories in direct proximity to a sleeping unhoused person which felt very disrespectful to this individual, we could have easily moved. the guide also demanded the group provide their theories of what could explain an element of a story and seemed annoyed when we couldn’t remember exact details of prior events we were told about - I felt like I was being quizzed. the guide then mentioned how people are always offering up their crazy theories and he was supposed to affirm them - this was just after forcing the group to come up with some answer that he would dismiss anyway. this was our first negative experience with Viator, we have come to expect much better service from their offerings.

The guide is really great and you can tell he's passionate about the tour. The stories were great, well told, interesting, and even a little chilling. As someone who'd never been to Seattle before the day of, I found it very interesting as it centers around city origination and history. Definitely a cool experience.

First of all, our tour guide arrived 20 minutes late. And a lot of the stories he was telling us and the places he was taking us. There was nothing to see, and it was just walking with stories. The stories were not interesting and we just felt it was not a good tour. The tour guide some really loud and then would yell certain words randomly. We left the tour in the middle and felt it was a waste of our time and money.

Instructions said to be there 15-20 min early. Everyone but the guide was there. He showed up 5 min AFTER the tour start time. Some of us paid a few bucks extra for EMF equipment, which he didn’t have. He did offer extra tour stops to make up for it but that was the reason we booked this tour so very frustrated to begin with. Guide was very loud & dramatic with his story telling & heard some interesting stories but I walked away wishing we had done something else with our time. Sad because I love haunted history & paranormal things & we always try to do this in different cities we visit but this one missed the mark for me. Plus side it was a cheap tour in downtown Seattle on a beautiful night.

We had Michael as our tour guide and he was wonderful! Very engaging. He kept the interest of my sister, who hates History, has OCD and ADHD, during each story telling. Adding life and characters to each story giving our group a haunting experience.
I group was so large we had to divide in two groups, at one point we passed the 2nd group and were very pleased with having Michael, the other guide was very informative but my sister commented she would have bored out of her mind if we had been in the other group. The whole experience really depends on which tour guide you get, but I would recommend this tour to others.
It is a bit of a walk on uneven ground so my party was always last to rejoin the group, Michael always checked to make sure he had the entire group before the next story which I was thankful for. Was worried we would be left behind as my sister has difficulty with stairs and uphill climbs.
