I was hesitant about surfing in Sayulita because I had done it once before and had a terrible time. This time was so unlike the first time, I had so much fun and was able to get a lot of waves. My instructor Alex was very knowledgeable and gave great, specific tips on what to do. I was really happy that I decided to do a lesson with Wildmex and would highly recommend trying them if you are in Sayulita or Punta Mita.

We had an amazing surf lesson with Milton in Sayulita! He was incredibly patient, encouraging, and made learning to surf so much fun. From the very beginning, he made us feel comfortable and gave us the confidence to keep trying. Thanks to his great instruction, we were so excited to get up on the board and experience surfing for the first time. Crossing this off our bucket list was unforgettable, and we couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. If you’re thinking about taking a surf lesson in Sayulita, we highly recommend Milton!

Coming to Sayulita was such a HUGE memory for me to make with my son. I learned to surf here 12 years ago so having a good experience for my son was so important to me. Milo and Jesus with WildMexAdventures were just that!! From the moment we got there, everything was perfect! Milo and Jesus were the absolute best instructors! My son had SO much fun and was able to get up on his first wave and built so much confidence! Milo and Jesus were so kind and patient with my son, making him fall in love with surfing. I would HIGHLY recommend these guys for your lessons in Sayulita! It was awesome because they even send a photographer out to snap shots for you- which I appreciated SO much! Best experience ever!

We are staying in Sayulita and they took us down to La Lancha for our private lesson. We were super happy with the instructors, boards and most importantly the waves! Highly recommend traveling to La Lancha to learn before hitting the waves in Sayulita. We have taken multiple lessons when we travel and we agreed this is the best we have had!

I recommend WildMex surf lessons through Viator. The price for a private lesson is cheaper on Viator than with the hotel concierge.
I watched Michael give my daughter lessons at the store and on the beach. I sat on the beach during their sesson. I saw others give lessons and Michael's lessons were better and safer. I felt sorry for the others.
He spent lots of time and was very generous with advice.
There is no free wifi in Sayulita. Our taxi dropped us off at the city center -- I highly recommend downloading a map before coming. I asked for directions and found the proper cross streets. There is free wifi at the WildMex store, but not in the town or on the beach.
There are tons of shops -- touristy and local. You can easily spend $ in Sayulita! The beach vendors are polite and will leave you if you say no. They do want MXN pesos, compared to USD. The beach in Sayulita had more trash and debris than expected. There is ZERO shade on the beach, so bring an umbrella.
For the surf lessons - 100% recommend.

Beautiful beach and town. Company did a very good job. They are much better with beginners rather than intermediate. Our instructor was about the same level as my daughter so it ended up being more of a fun lesson than a learning lesson. Maps address location is about a block off but we found it fine. Fun little shop and town and would recommend going. Great equipment and they were very responsive to questions online.

Alessandro was very patient and made this a great experience! My son was up and surfing by the time the lesson was over. He can't wait to get back out there! Shop was clean and staff were friendly. Changing room and bathroom was very convenient! We'd highly recommend this shop!

My 11 year old had surfing on his wish list during a recent trip to Nuevo Nayarit. Booking online was easy. Instructor was great, spoke English well, and was super encouraging. Made my son feel very comfortable and he had a successful 1st surf!

I also rented a board with the same company at another surf spot (La Lancha) super easy and had a good selection. Would not hesitate to go with them again. 🤩

I was taken to "La Lancha" beach, which was amazing and very clean. Juan, the instructor, was very patient and took care that i was safe all the time. He gave me tips on what to do to and how to do it.

Surf class moved to a different location due to crowds on Christmas Day. Walking to area was on a trail that was difficult for seniors, the kids had no problem. The surfing instructor (Diego) knew what he was doing & was patient with kids. By booking with Viator we actually saved money.
