This was the horseback riding experience of my dreams! We rode through the jungle and the beach. It was absolutely beautiful! Our guides were incredibly helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. We had an amazing time and will recommend this experience to anyone who visits Sayulita!

We went riding for about an hour. I was the only one other than a guide. The guide spoke good English and explained things along the way. The horses looked well cared for.

Experienced riders only. They do not have helmets. You ride along the road/highway for a good portion before entering the jungle. No information was taken about riders before hand (height weight or ability to ride) Correct horses were not placed with experienced vs non experienced riders. My 11 year old with no helmet was placed on a horse not from this particular ranch. All the other horses did not like her horse so they would bite or be aggressive. My 11 year old horse ended up jumping out of line into the street into on coming traffic! She inevitably had to change horses mid ride in the jungle. She was kicked and has a twisted ankle. The horses saddles were all loose. Either not placed properly or too old stretched. Very dangerous for riders as they would slide side to side. The sunset ride ends riding thru the jungle in the DARK then crossing a major road in the DARK and riding along the road in the DARK. The ranch has no WiFi no service. You cannot get an uber or call a taxi. We got a ride home with one of the horse handlers wives? after standing around for 30+ minutes after the ride in the dark with our daughter. Unsafe in so many. Experienced riders only. Be warned

This was one of the best experiences I have ever done. The horses were beautiful and very well taken care of. I felt very safe. And then the ranchers/Cowboys were top-notch.

Great guides! Once you get beyond the beautiful jungle, you’ll find your way to the prettiest private-like beach where the waves come up and they’ll let you gallop. Photographer got great shots too!

We often go for a trail ride when on vacation and this one was the absolute best! Giovanni and Junior were excellent guides and even let each of us have a turn to gallop on the beach, which was an extra special treat. Their horses were very well trained and never needed correction. I highly recommend this tour!

The horses were great - good for beginners and good if you have a lot of experience - they will match you with the right type of horse. At the beach he leads people who aren't confident and has them canter up and back and those that know how to ride can gallop. Pretty great experience!

100% recommend this touring company! We did the sunset horseback riding tour and had such a wonderful experience. The tour guides were so friendly and knowledgeable and the ride was spectacular through the jungle to the beach. The ranch is in a beautiful location and you could spend time just hanging out enjoying the surroundings. We will definitely use this group again.

It was my first time riding a horse, but the staff made me feel completely safe and comfortable throughout the experience. The horses were incredibly friendly, and the guide was super kind and attentive, which made the whole ride even more enjoyable.
I had such a fun time riding through the lush jungle and along the stunning black sand beach—such a unique and unforgettable experience. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone, whether it’s your first time or not!

We had an excellent experience today on our horseback ride through the jungle and on the beach. Our guide, Jovani, was amazing. We had riders of all ages and experience levels- including a toddler who rode along with mom. The crew was very welcoming and accommodating, and we really enjoyed our excursion! Would highly recommend to anyone!

This is THE BEST. For sure book the sunset tour. I can’t believe people would come to Sayulita and not do this tour. It’s literally through the jungle and onto the beach. We saw so many fireflies on our way pack. The guides are so nice and I felt so safe with my family. Honestly the best experience we had on our trip. A must!

Juan was amazing!! Super fun energy, very knowledgeable about horses and made me feel super confident riding alone on one. It ended up just being me on this tour but he made it the best experience!!!
I rode with cappuccino and I fell in love with the horse, they are all so well behaved and very calm.
Lil tip- if it’s sunset bring a shall to wrap up against mosquitoes

I recently went on a sunset horseback riding tour, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! As a first-time rider, I was a little nervous at first, but the guide was so kind and personable — they immediately put me at ease. They matched me with Lobo, the perfect horse for a beginner. Lobo felt like he was on cruise control — he kept the perfect pace and calmly followed Coconut, the guide’s horse, which made the whole ride feel smooth and comfortable.
One of the highlights was how thoughtful the guide was about capturing the moment. They took fantastic photos throughout the ride, making it feel like my own personal photoshoot. I received some absolutely amazing pictures that I’ll treasure forever, especially with the stunning sunset as our backdrop.

Juan was an amazing guide. His focus was obviously to give our group the best experience possible. We went through the jungle then onto the beach then back through the jungle. A photographer followed us the whole time and, while the pictures were a little expensive at the end, there were a lot and they were very high quality. We also got the chance to gallop on the beach! I love riding and it’s hard to find a tour that isn’t just a line of horses. 10/10 I would do this again. (Also the tequila is really good)
We traveled all the way from Puerto Vallarta and I would do it again for this tour

Amazing experience and gorgeous scenery. My very frightened 8yo who never rode a horse was calmed by our guide and given special attention. The pictures we got from this experience are phenomenal- a top adventure for our family.

My husband and I did this with family during our wedding trip to Sayulita. Coordinating was easy, the horses were beautiful and sweet, and I got to see my husband galloping down the beach on a white horse at sunset like the cover of a romance novel. I’m a beginner rider and they put me on a really really well behaved horse so I had no issues. Others in our party were more experienced riders and requested horses with more “energy” and they were happy too. They even shipped in a bigger horse for my brother who is a bigger guy - just let them know your height/weight when you book. ALSO, there was a tequila tasting at the end that was so fun and we got to learn a bit about that history and gain a new appreciation for the process and flavors. Loved loved loved this experience and will 1000% do it again and coerce all possible family and friends to join me. One recommendation: wear long pants/sleeves or bring big spray. We did neither, and I got some bites, but husband did not.

I have been riding for 15 years and this is seriously one of the best trail rides I’ve been on. The guide will let you do what you want if you know what you are doing under saddle. I would suggest even trying to book a private ride if you can ride! The ride on the beach at sunset was amazing, galloping on the beach made my trip and the horse are not typical trail horses they are super responsive and easy to ride you can tell they are well loved and cared for! It could not of been any better…such a wonderful experience. It has been a dream of mine to ride a horse on the beach … it was everything and more!!!! Staff was amazing 👏👏. Had a really great time on the horseback ride! Our group had none to some experience with horse and everyone felt safe and had a good time. Beautiful scenery and had good amount of coverage while riding through the jungle. The beach portion was just magical- recommend having something (hat, long sleeves) for shoulder coverage if sensitive to sun. Also recommend long pants and closed toe shoes you don’t mind getting a little dusty. Horses were easy to ride and seemed well cared for. There are bathrooms and a place to change afterward if you would like. Also a pool, but never saw anyone in it? Tequila tasting was fun afterward too!
