The phase of the moon matters. Best time to see the bioluminesence is when there is no moon. We did not go at the optimal time but it was still pretty spectacular! Eddie did a great job of finding pockets of algae and he was very knowledgeable. It was mesmerizing for me and I highly recommend the tour.

Great experience. We were a bit worried because it was a clear night, but Eddie did an amazing job explaining how the bioluminescent works, actively finding spots, and providing opportunities for us to see the different colors within the bay.

Make sure that you don’t go when the moon is bright or you will not be able to see much. I was surprised that the tour went on knowing it was too bright.

Eddy made the most he could to show us bioluminensce during a full moon night.
We got upset because we weren’t prepared to get in the sea late at night neither were expecting them to put a huge peace of plastic over the boat to create more shadows, so I think it’s something to expect. If they have warned us before, we would’ve had a much better time.
We couldn’t see a lot of it in a full moon night, but we have to appreciate the effort they made to show us.
At the end, I unfortunately don’t think it’s worth it during full moon, but in different days must be great.

Seeing the bioluminescence was very magical experience. Eddy was very knowledgeable and explained the natural phenomenon very well. My phone was not able to capture the bioluminescence but it was bright and clearly visible to the eyes.

What a great place. Eddie was a fantastic guide. He was super patient with the few that were not as strong of kayakers. He really cared about our safety. Eddy was very knowledgeable about the bioluminescence. We had a vehicle with a tent on it and he let us stay for free since we paid for the tour. Cold shower and restroom available on site.

Eddy is the best guide for knowing where the best bioluminescence are. We really enjoyed the kayak boat for our family of four. Great experience! Pura Vida!
