Overview
Paquera Bay is one of the few places in the world where you can view bioluminescence year-round. With this tour, experience the natural phenomenon on a night tour, setting out by boat at sunset and enjoying more than an hour at Isla Cedros. See the plankton glowing in the dark waters, jump in to swim and snorkel, and watch as schools of fish swim over to feed.

We had a boat with two tourguides on our own. The sunset was stunning and the fruits, they offered, very sweet. We could see the glittery plancton and could swin in it. It was amazing!

Seems a bit shady at first glance but once the sun sets and the waters turn beautiful and sparkling, it became an unforgettable experience

Please don't waste your money, the bioluminescent is nothing like it appears in the pictures. You basically pay for a 2hour boat ride around the bay, which is fine but don't expect to be dazzled by the algae, they are practically not visible. I would not recommend this to anyone.

The bioluminescence was wonderful despite some strange hiccups - we were meant to have an English guide but our guide didn’t speak a word of English, and didn’t even introduce himself! Still we had a beautiful night.

This was the most magical experience ever! We went out with the boat short before sunset und while we waited on the water for the dark our guide explained the area on Nicoya Peninsula and the phenomenon of the Bioluminsecence and has some fresh fruit. The guide was a real Tico with his heart deeply connected to the land and the ocean. And the when it was dark enogh we could see it!!!! We went into the water and it felt like swimming in an interactive sky full of glitzering neonblue stars. So magical!

O passeio é interessante e vale a pena,
Os funcionários são simpáticos e atenciosos.
As marés podem invalidar a saida do barco, confirmar sempre com geiko a saída.
A experiência é interessante mas não é "como nos filmes!"
Os locais e o tempo da viagem irão variar consonte o guia e as marés .

Una tarde fantástica. El capitan Slater magnífico con todas explicaciones Jairo y su esposa Flor encantadores. Fueron muy cercanos, y hasta nos dieron la oportunidad de hacer algo de esnorquel. Y la bioluminiscencia es para no perdérselo!
Te dan agua y fruta fresca en el tour.
