Everything that you see and do is a beautiful experience. All planned very well! Our tour guide Frank was so friendly and made it even move amazing. Our driver was so safe and met the needs of our wellbeing.

The actual tour guide was so kind and knowledgeable but the rest of the trip was awful. I was picked up from my hotel around 1015. The pickup option was super convenient but knowing the weather in Costa Rica I wish it was Earlier to try and beat the weather that passes through mid day. My driver didn’t understand English and my Spanish isn’t that great so we were unable to communicate. We stopped twice for about 5 minutes each time and I have no idea why. After a very very slow drive, two hours later I arrived at a rest stop. A worker at the rest stop informed me I would have to wait here for another van to come pick me up and continue on with the tour. Almost an hour later the other van finally showed up with the rest of the group who then shopped around for 10-15 more minutes. We finally boarded the van and still had a half hour drive to the waterfalls. While in the van the weather finally caught us and it was Down pouring for the rest of the day. The new driver was excellent. The weather so was terrible that it just Made the experience awful. Nothing the guides could of done to make it better. The description of the tour mentions strawberries and stopping to see coffee bushes, a photo opportunity, I never did any of that. The animals were nice but again the awful weather made it so Unappealing. The buffet was mediocre food wise but the views were stunning. We spent more time looking at caged animals than we did the waterfalls. When it finally Came time to see the waterfalls they were stunning and have it not Been torrential down pouring I’m sure it would Have been more beautiful but it was Muddy water that looked disgusting. By the end of the tour I was so soaked I had to buy new clothes at the gift shop. After the falls we immediately got in the van and left. At one point I had to switch cars again to be dropped off at my hotel and that took close to two hours. So between 10am-7pm I sat in a car / waited on other people for close to 5 hours in total. On my final ride back the driver complained the entire time about my hotel. Next time I would just take Uber. I spent more time in a car than I did at the physical site, the communication was terrible and I have no idea why I never did the entire first portion of the tour.

Hello, I am responding to your comments, this is a walking tour and we are in the middle of the rainy season regarding transportation and changes in transportation units. This is because it is a shared tour, it is not a private tour that is shared on the trails to see the falls and because of this in the rainy season the color of the water changes in the food comment it is a variable food buffet for all tastes and it is about pleasing all people and about the times on the road that depends on the traffic and rain and we have no control over that thanks for visiting Costa Rica

It’s hard to mess up La Paz it’s absolutely beautiful and our tour guide was so educated on everything. However I do not appreciate the pick up instructions changed. The location for pickup was moved last minute to a place we were not close to. And the pick up time was pushed an hour back. Which made us hit traffic both ways. Also it was supposed to be a private tour but someone else joined.

Hello, thank you for your comment, the waterfall tour is a regular tour, it is not private, that is why you have to pick up at the hotels, some are close, others are not, that is why the pick up at several hotels was a little long. thank you

Excellent tour guide and tour experience! The Waterfalls were gorgeous. It’s a physical challenge going up the stairs but well worth it.

I loved experiencing the total immersion in a stunning natural wonderland, yet in a safe environment and manner. I also enjoyed meeting people from all over the world and of course our knowledgeable and funny guide.
The buffet lunch was wonderful, offering many varieties of local and world fare, and a nice long break.
The transportation was prompt and comfortable.
I realize that we were connecting with other tours, yet for this particular tour, I would recommend starting earlier in the day to avoid rush-hour traffic coming back to San Jose.
All in all, a fantastic experience! Steve

Anotonio (our tour guide) did a great job! His knowledge is excellent! La Paz is just another fantastic spot to check out while in beautiful Costa Rica! From birds and animals to wild butterflies all in route to sightseeing gorgeous waterfalls! I knew from the trip up the mountain towards Poas Volcano that we were being led to a great day! Enjoyed every bit of it! Thank you!

Antonio was great! Funny and kind! Told us about Costa Rica, it’s history, animals, plants, resources, etc. He also went out of his way to return a wallet left in his van! So kind of him! We had a great time!

The waterfalls are beautiful and the buffet plentiful. The pineapple drink in the buffet is not good. As many fruits as there are in Costa Rica, the buffet could offer a better beverage selection. I have a hard time believing that all the animals are rescues. Even if they were, the space is confined. The poor oxen are sustaining a cart all day where people can climb. This oxen activity should be eliminated.

Great experience. Ricardo was very knowledgeable. Wonderful lunch. The animals were interesting to see but we really loved the waterfalls and how close you could get. We have seen a lot of waterfalls and without a doubt, these were the best!

Our tour would of been amazing if it didn’t rain. The tour guy Tony was amazing, he did his best with the weather against him. Was wasn’t able to get my beautiful pictures but the experience was amazing. Can’t predict the weathe.
