Despite wet and windy weather, it was a really nice hike around the forest and discovering the various waterfalls.

Beautiful hike! I loved getting under the waterfall! The staff was very nice. Everything was great. My horse (Pinto) was very sweet and Miguel was a great guide.

It is a hard hike, not recommended for anyone with any foot, knee or hip issues, very steep up and down hiking

Very beautiful rainforest. If rain is in the forecast be sure to bring a poncho and take a walking stick. The zip bikes and horseback riding are definitely worth it!

The waterfalls were amazing and a nice long hike to see all of them. Rained a lot but didn't stop us! Had a 30m horse ride at the end which was fun, then a lovely lunch before transfer home.

Incredible experience. Even better than expected. Beautiful and many waterfalls, hanging bridges, wonderful hike and horseback ride. Meal at the end was delicious and served indoors with awesome view. Can’t say enough. Was a highlight of our trip.

Surpassed expectations! We spent 2 hours trekking 5km, going over hanging bridges and taking photos of magnificent waterfalls. The forest was beautiful and peaceful. Then, we took the 4x4 for the last 3km and had a beautiful view for lunch. Great that they offer the 4x4 for people who don’t want to horse ride.

This is a fabulous experience. The hiking was downhill and challenging (72 yo with not great knees) but doable. Fortunately they have walking sticks. Beautiful scenery and many waterfalls. The horse ride is fun, and a lovely spot for lunch. One of the best deals in the area. Everyone is helpful and friendly, and we met people from many countries. Staff is great!

I booked trip excited to go and another one had to be canceled from viator not on my behald but issues with provider. Pick up point was at my hotel then get text saying cannot pick up but if you still want to come on trip pay us 360.00 usa for someone to come get you on top of paying for excursion. So very upset with viator for lying about information and then to be frauded to pay another 350.00 usa for driver. Now I have to wait for them to approve refund with evidence and fight with them for refund and not to mention ruin my trip due to pay advance and now have to wait for refund and request for refund. Be cautious and I did this online with thier agent. Bad service

I feel a bit conflicted, or maybe confused. The El Tigre waterfalls were gorgeous, the trail well maintained, and the ride back on horseback was great (horses looked healthy and well taken care of). We did the hike with our 6 year old, and she did it without any issues. They provided walking staffs and I highly recommend you take those. The confusion part is on the price. You can book directly at the place, for $66 (transportation not included). We also received a voucher from the driver that said $12 for transportation. so is the cost $12+$66 = $78? If so, the tour they are selling is a huge rip off. Now I don't know how much it is to get independent transport, but if you have more than 1 person, I would look into it .

Our favorite tour in Costa Rica!!! Since my friend and I decided to not go to the Monteverde Cloud Forest, we found this tour. We were picked up from our lodging in Monteverde in a shared a shuttle. The hike was amazing! So many waterfalls and also the hanging bridges were very scenic. It was not too crowded. We were able to explore on our own pace (the hike is not done with a guide). The trails are well maintained. Riding horses at the end of the hike was really fun! The horses are well trained and seem to be well taken care of. The lunch was delightful and was a great reward for the end of the hike. There is unlimited, complimentary beverages (hot sugar cane, coffee, watermelon juice, passionfruit juice, tea) at the restaurant too. We were also able to purchase Cafe Monteverde coffee beans. I actually accidentally purchased an expired coffee beans and realized once I got back to my lodging so I contacted the El Tigre staff. They immediately and graciously offered to drive to my lodging and give me new coffee beans. Exceptional service!!!! Overall, highly recommend this tour if you stay in Monteverde and enjoy hiking!

There was a beautiful walk through the rainforest with many spectacular waterfalls, a number of small hanging bridges and places to stop and view the surroundings. We opted to take the horses up the hill which was great. The day finished off with a meal overlooking the entire region.

Perfect combination of a hike and great horseback ride. Highly recommend! Great for older kids (probably eight years old and above) but might be too much for younger ones.

This is the BEST Monteverde hike! It is breathtakingly beautiful and just when you think it can’t get any better, you move to an even more fantastic location! There were stunning waterfalls, rope and wood suspension bridges that seemed right out of a scene from Jumanji. We swam in a pool of crystal clear fresh water and sunbathed on the rocks while gazing up at the towering trees of the rainforest. Spectacular! We finished the hike with a horseback ride back up out of the valley and walked into an awesome restaurant with a wall of windows overlooking the rolling hills from Lake Arenal to the Arenal Volcano! Brilliant!

Ese día estaba muy lluvioso pero empezamos el camino y se estaba muy bien son 5km de camino entre arboles y cascadas puentes y llegamos a a los caballos super mansos nos llevaron 3 km y la comida del restaurante estaba muy rica una mñn genial
