What To Expect

Be ready for pickup at your Puerto Plata hotel in the morning; see 'Additional Details' for exact pickup times, which vary per location. With your guide and group, climb into a safari-style vehicle and travel about 15 minutes to Country World Ranch.

Disembark and listen to a safety briefing before getting fitted for a helmet and harness. Clip in and follow your guide down 7,900 feet (2,408 meters) of galvanized steel cable, holding on to comfortable handle bars as you zip. No experience and no active breaking is required. Walk between the lines at your own pace, with instructors by your side, stopping to try local fruits fresh off the tree.

Begin your horseback riding excursion with some basic introductory instructions and a match with a horse suitable for your skill level. Spend some time ambling through the Dominican countryside before finishing up with a home-cooked meal.

Return to your hotel for drop-off mid-afternoon.

A True Gem!

We had the most amazing time with this tour. Our family of 4 including my 3 year old and 6 year old did the zip line and horseback riding adventure. The staff was outstanding, friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate for my kids who wanted to zipline solo. Safety was always top priority while they made everything so much fun! I cannot thank the staff enough for how amazing they were. Thank you all again!!

Loved this place. The zip lining was one of the best we’ve done. The views are amazing. The horseback riding was lots of fun also. They take great safety measures. The Dominican lunch was delicious and portions were huge. We lucked out that we booked on a day with no cruises in port and had the place all to ourselves. All in all a great day!

Incredible adventure and meal!

Incredible adventure! Our guides were amazing and so welcoming. I went solo and met great people on my tour. We shared a delicious lunch cooked for only 7 of us! It was very well organized. Just note that the ziplining definitely requires good physical fitness because there is a lot of uphill/stair climbing in between each station.

Great half-day excursion! Moderately challenging!

Great combination for a half-day excursion! Terrific, friendly guides kept everyone safe (especially the first-time zip liners) and having fun. Horses were a little above average as such outings go and guided allowed experienced riders some latitude on the trail. Also, the lunch was quite good!!
