What To Expect
Be ready for pickup at your Puerto Plata hotel in the morning; see 'Additional Details' for exact pickup times, which vary per location. With your guide and group, climb into a safari-style vehicle and travel about 15 minutes to Country World Ranch.
Disembark and listen to a safety briefing before getting fitted for a helmet and harness. Clip in and follow your guide down 7,900 feet (2,408 meters) of galvanized steel cable, holding on to comfortable handle bars as you zip. No experience and no active breaking is required, and parents and children can ride together. Walk between the lines at your own pace, with instructors by your side, stopping to try local fruits fresh off the tree.

The taxi was waiting for us at the meeting point we had agreed upon. It was easy to find the meeting point. 20 minute transportation. Travel and zip lines were safe. When we arrived there, several employees were waiting for us to make preparations. Two of the eight ziplines were under renovation, so we had the chance to ride the two largest ziplines twice. The zipline activity lasted 45 minutes.
Following the zipline ride, an employee showed us around the on-site garden, which contained several animals and fruit trees. This employee, who spoke French, took the time to answer our questions and explain several pieces of information to us. What a nice employee !

We chose this excursion based on the description of the type of walking which was listed as mild to moderate, being able to walk over uneven surfaces, sand and gravel…my husband has one leg and is limited to the extreme type of walking, climbing, this excursion involved! This was an extreme walking adventure at best…there was no mention of hiking up 90 degree hills….I would highly recommend you changing the description of this excursion to extreme. It was very misleading and a disappointment!!!!,

Thanks for sharing your opinion regarding the Zip Line Adventure. I remember your group very well as I (Daniel) was at the Taino Bay Cruise Port with Carlos (Tour Guide) and Wilson (Driver) picking you up on October 19th, 2022, from the Celebrity Infinity. You, your husband and 2 other friends were the first ones to arrive at the meeting point. After an additional 15-20 minutes upon your arrival, we left for the excursion with the other guests booked for the day.
When we arrived at the ranch, I personally gave you all the detailed information about the excursion. Of course, we have already noticed that your husband uses a leg prosthesis. Beside us telling you and your husband and the rest of the group that there is walking involved between the platforms (most of the walking is one flat/even surfaces. The only “hike” you’ll have to do is to get to the Zip Line tower #6 and #8, which are each a 2–4-minute hike), you were told that there is no rush and to take your time. The total group size for Zip Lines that morning consisted out of 7 participants.
I am glad that you’ve mentioned that you choose the excursion based on the description. We assume that you have read the whole description carefully, however I would kindly like to ask you to review the “Additional Information” field once again, as you may noticed it clearly says:
1. Due to uneven surfaces, this tour is not recommended for those with walking disabilities.
2. Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level (MODERATE fitness level, not mild to moderate as you have mentioned).
Before starting the activity, everyone is required to fill out a waiver, which provides you with important details about the tour again. Waivers are being signed in the bus, long before arrival at our ranch. I have copied the part of the waiver saying “LIMITATIONS” below:
LIMITATIONS: I understand and acknowledge that I cannot participate in any of the tours or activities if I:
• take or am under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medicine
• am in any stage of pregnancy
• wear or use casts, crutches, prosthesis or similar, or suffer from injury or pain that does not allow normal body mobility
• have physical or emotional problems, or any history thereof, which will impair my ability to participate in a safe manner
• weigh more than 260 Lbs/118KG/18.6 ST.
Do you need to talk to the GUIDE OR SUPERVISOR about any matters, including Overweight, Medical Conditions, Medications, or Physical or Mental Limitations? Yes________ No__________
Unfortunately, as a supplier, we are not able to attach any documents to our review responses, but as you may remember, your husband checked “No”.
After you finished with your activity and arrived back to the welcome area, the 4 of you bought a beer to cool down again. Your husband told me PERSONALLY that it got a bit challenging for him, however he appreciated the help of the tour guides and said he had a great time, you and your friends said the same. Your husband even started talking to me regarding his time when he was stationed in Germany, places he has been, etc.. I do not think you would do that if you were so disappointment, as you mentioned in the review.
We would kindly like to ask you to reconsider your review, since from our side all information was provided correctly, before and after the reservation was made.

The ziplines were awesome, start small and gradually get better. Staff were so super friendly and made the experience so awesome. The views were breathtaking. We got to meet some animal friends like Elvis the parrot, they were so super cute. Would definitely recommend, but some ziplines had a little hike to them so definitely take that into consideration!

While the ziplines weren't that impressive, the guides were amazing. Even the tour of the little animal area was wonderful!! Great hospitality from pickup to drop-off. Highly recommend

This was a great experience. It was my first time Ziplining but it won’t be my last. These people are very professional and friendly. My son and I felt safe and very well taken care of. We finished early and the owner himself promptly took us back to our Resort.

My family loved the zipping, the host was very hospitable. Food was delicious, great experience, must-see. Zoo was cute. All the mangoes that grow there. Delicious, just falling off the trees. Beautiful countryside. Pearla the did is so cute. All the guys were great, Julio. Jimmy, Ronnie, Daniel and all the rest we forgot there names, they were all fabulous.. Thank you so much. A must do, when in puerta plata.

On Saturday a party of 7 did the zipline excursion, there was 8 lines where we zipped through the forest, we had so much fun, I recommend this for any of you adrenaline junkies, we felt safe at all times with the staff ... Jimmy & Benny you guys are the best, thank you so very much !!

Seven of us booked this excursion, 6 of us had never tried ziplining before, we had such a great time. The staff at the park were awesome and treated us great. I would definitely do this again and I would recommend this to my friends. Our pickup was on time as well.

Incredible fun! Nice family operated facility. Personalized service and very safety conscious. Would do again anytime. Did the whole course with 3 people. Made the event extra special. They even threw in an extra event as they were waiting for a larger cruise ship group. Excellent guides. Lunch was perfect.

Dieter and staff are friendly and helpful. We were beginners and they helped us every step of the way.
The pick up was on time and the lunch was fresh and tasty. The horseback ride was scenic and safe and the ziplining was awesome.
The unusual animals at the little zoo were interesting.
Highly recommend for all family members.
