ATV staff were friendly and knowledgeable. They treated us with care from beginning to end. The guy in charge spoke English. The views riding around the island were so beautiful. We also stopped at a local beach that had food/drink and souvenir stands. Be prepared to get dusty and a little wet. Take the goggles and mouth covering when offered. Wear close toed water shoes. Overall the ATV experience was a lot of fun! I highly recommend it!

If you want a fun day with excellent guides. I highly recommend this. Johnny picked us up at the cruise ship and delivered us back pointing out highlights along the way.
Please felt completely safe with our ATV guides and truly had a memorable day.
The only thing I was surprised at is they charge an additional $25 if you want copies of the ATV pictures that are taken along the way.

We went through rivers and backroads into the countryside... we saw beautiful vistas! If you like speed and exhilarating fun you should give it a try. Just make sure to way to wear water shoes or you shoes you don't mind getting muddy.

We had a 8:30 am, 3 hour ATV excursion booked. After walking outside the gate which took about 20 minutes, we inquired with some of the other excursion drivers where to go. They were kind enough to call the number on our printed ticket papers. Turns out our transportation was not there yet. After waiting awhile, a gentlemen told us he would take us to where the ATV place is. We then had a young man leading our ATV PACK OF “two”! Just is! An older gentlemen followed us. We enjoyed this excursion. At one point we swam in the water for about 25 minutes and we were the only people around. The entire trip only lasted about 2 hours probably due to the fact that it was just the two of us, but we loved having our own “private” trip.

The ATV’s are not well maintained. They were hard to steer. Felt pressured to purchase items I didn’t want. The director of the group took us on trails for the more experienced riders.

This was the best ATV excursion i’ve ever done. For the price we got to do so much. Went to shops, drove through mud and water, saw all the local areas and even made a beach stop! That our guide let us have 50 mins to enjoy. Everyone was so nice and they even take pics and videos for you that you have an option to purchase at the end. Amazing quality pics at that!! Just do the excursion and you won’t be disappointed. I was afraid I was going to be late and miss my time but they will literally wait for the full group to be there. All in all I would 100% 10/10 fully recommend. Thanks Johnnay!! And Thanks Yunior for the amazing pictures!!

This was the most amazing experience on our girls' trip to Puerto Plata/Cabarete. Starting with our pick-up driver, Jhonny. He was friendly, communicative, and took us on a tour around Puerto Plata before and after we even got on the ATV's. Our tour guides, Jose Andres and the young guy leading our group, were patient, kind and mindful of our safety. Nothing beats the wind in your hair and the feeling of freedom as you ride through open roads, tropical vegetation, and even along the beach. Hands down, this was our favorite tour during our vacation. I would highly recommend this experience! (Bring goggles because it can get dusty.)

Trip oversold based on pics. It’s a basic AtV tour of backroads with a beach stop . Not an off road buggy tour thru jungle . I expected a wilder off road experience, going through the jungle and water and getting completely dirty. It was a tamer way to get around , on an atv. Set your expectations and you will be ok.

It’s a long walk from the ship to find them but it’s worth the walk because it’s a lot cheaper than the ship price and you get GREAT SERVICE! So many times they asked if we were ok! Loved it!

Experience was beautiful and awesome. Had a great time. The only down fall for me was the ATV that were issue to us and my family had some brake and suspension issues. ATVs need to be updated.

We rode on a dirt road for about an hour than stopped to swim for a bit at Maimom Beach. We did not go into the jungle or experience any local culture. I think this is a fairly new company as scheduling was questionable. The guides were really nice but the fact that a mechanic had to go along was prophetic since my husband broke down - twice.

The ride was shorter than advertised. The atvs weren't of good quality. Then I had purchased some items from the chocolate stand we stopped at and the guy was to bring them back for me. I had to wait for him and hold up the other passengers. I would have Tipped if it wasn't for this experience.

Good and accommodating. Driver for pickup/drop off was also very nice. Overall it’s Dominican backroad tour with a short stop at the beach. Had plenty of mud and water on the way too.

This was a great experience! Let’s talk about price..YOU WILL NOT BEAT THIS PRICE ! You’ll pay a fraction of what the cruise lines are charging but get the full ATV experience!I’m telling you I’m very cheap and always looking for a deal THIS IS IT! 2. Customer service was great. Johnny the driver was so helpful and funny . We didn’t know there was a time change so we booked the wrong time for our cruise arrival but Johnny made accommodations for our tardiness and made sure to stay in communication with us once we arrived. Only downfall is you will have to walk outside the gate to meet the ride for the tour. It’s about an 5-7 min walk but that sun is no joke (so it could be less if you’re not getting beat up by the sun like we were) Our tour guy Wilkerson was the BEST! Showed us a great time on the tour - from the photo ops, to shopping at a local DR gift shop where you can find great gifts and handmade cigars , to dinking fresh coconuts water (literally chopped a coconut in front of us) , to chilling on the beach drinking pina colada eating conch salads. Both were good by the way! We chilled on the beach for a bit jamming to music. It was a blast! It was my bf first time on an ATV and Wilkerson was very patient with us (we weren’t the most experienced drivers lol) . Oh you may get a little muddy but that’s based on if you wanna go thru the mud on the trail or if you wanna kinda go around it ! Overall good experience would definitely book again!

We went when weather was rainy but besides the drizzle we got during that time, we enjoy the hours with the guys . The driver was very attentive and always making sure we were okay. We did a couple of stops to appreciate their culture and art ….plenty of souvenirs.
We got pictures and videos, the guy took while we were driving the ATVs and we enjoy the day !

My son (8) and I had THE MOST AMAZING TIME on this tour! I highly recommend them. We were a bit late getting off the ship, but they were still there to get us (warning - it's kinda a long walk to the entrance of the port if you have mobility issues, I would say maybe 10-15 min walk) at the gate entrance and shuttled us in an air-conditioned van to the ATV location. We were given waters on the way, included in the tour. Once there, we quickly got driving info and helmets before we were on our way. We were lucky to be the ONLY ones on this tour, so it felt like we had private guides the entire afternoon. My son LOVED driving and was able to control it on his own while I was the passenger princess. Views were cool the whole time -- some city, some rural, mountains, and, of course, the ocean. The guides were sweet and took photos and videos all afternoon which they air dropped us for a small fee (make sure to bring cash!). They even put the edited video to music! Once back, the shuttle brought us back to the port and even stopped at a gas station for us so we could grab some beer, gatorade, and grab some cash from the ATM. One note, the port people didn't let me drink the open beer past the cruise gate, so I just stood there and finished it before walking in. Super tasty local beer - grab some! All in all, this was our favorite activity of our entire cruise and we had the best time. I would totally do it again!

We did this as an independent excursion separate from the cruise we came in on. You have to walk about a mile from the ship, outside the gates to the Amber Cove port to be picked up by the driver. Make sure you have their WhatsApp info to contact them. We were given water in the van for the 10 minute ride to the ATVs.
We arrive to the ATVs. The offered goggles and bandanas to rent $5 each. You will need these but, I recommend bringing your own or some sanitizer wipes.
Apparently, the majority of the roads in the area are unpaved. So, it’s like off-roading everywhere anyway. It was five of us and we road through the town up to 30 mph. We stopped at a makeshift market and coastal line to get in the beach which was lovely.
The guys working were all friendly though they barely spoke English. They used their iPhone to take pics and vids of us riding for free. That was nice 😊.
Here’s the problem: the ATVs were poorly maintained. Mines in particular didn’t have a key, so they literally hot wired it to jump🤔. Five minutes into the ride it cutoff on me. So, they lifted the seat and did something to jump it again. This happened 4x during the trip. On another ATV, it was smoking because the plastic cover was melting burning on the engine.
It’s not an open, free for all ride. We literally had to ride single line slowly the entire trip.
The trip lasted about 90 minutes, it could have lasted longer but, we were not interested in shopping at the market or spending too much time at the empty beach without our beach stuff. We weren’t prepared for the beach stop.
