Once in a lifetime experience to see the rainforest at its best. Our guide, Ronal, was a superstar. He made sure that we saw and experienced everything in the jungle. Exotic animals, tropical fruits and nature all wrapped in one. The lodge was what you’d expect. It does get real hot, cold showers are a must and they have a pool to cool off. They provide a fan in the room and a mosquito net above your bed. Their food is good. Most guides speak Spanish and English. Boat rides were fun and the activities were plenty. Good time had by our family!

Exotic animals, tropical fruits and nature all wrapped in one. The lodge was what you’d expect. It does get real hot, cold showers are a must and they have a pool to cool off. They provide a fan in the room and a mosquito net above your bed. Their food is good. Most guides speak Spanish and English. Boat rides were fun and the activities were plenty. Good time had by our family!

The jungle is beautiful and the activities are nice too, but the organization of the days needs a complete review. There were many idle times — sometimes even more than two hours between one activity and the next (without any real need for rest, since before that we had only done a short half-hour walk in the forest) — and no alternative options were offered.
The activities were also poorly distributed across the days. For example, the third day was very empty, and the third night was completely useless since we left early in the morning.
Additionally, I had added through the agency a visit to “Collpa la Cachuela” (to see the macaws) for $50 — absolutely an excessive price for what it offered.
Unfortunately, this poor organization spoils places and activities that would otherwise be wonderful.

Amazing experience. Lodge was lovely, excursions were great. Our guide Gonzalo was fantastic and so knowledgeable about the rainforest. Transfers etc all really well organised.

It were absolutely 4 amazing days. We went there with the night bus and took the flight back to Cusco. The last day ist just breakfast and leaving to Puerto Maldonado. Beautiful lodges beautiful people it was the best experience in my 10 week stay in Peru. Just enjoy the beautiful Nature of the reservoir. If you book it in Puerto Maldonado it is cheaper. We were send there by a friend because she recommended it to us and it was absolutely wonderful.

Could not recommend this trip more. Planned to perfection with great activities but also enough spare time to chill / cool down in the pool. There is no AC or hot water - but we were pleased for the cold shower! We are both gluten free and the kitchen were great with accommodating this. Our guide Ronal was fantastic, so knowledgeable and passionate with a good sense of humour. He really made our experience. Make sure you take lots of repellent - we covered ourselves and have hardly come away with any bites. Lovely pina colada at the bar! And the pool is a really good size - just make sure you take your repellent there with you!
The 4 day 3 night tour was perfect - a good range of activities / earlier and later mornings.
FYI the boat on the last day leaves at 9 AM so you will be back in Peurto Maldonado by 10 if you have a flight later in the day :)

Outstanding tour. Our guide, Ronal (might have misspelled his name) was fantastic. I've read some other reviews and I'm not sure what the other users were expecting; with this tour you are in the jungle with no air conditioning and no hot water to shower with. I actually loved having it this way, making it a very authentic experience. The entire staff was extremely friendly and accommodating to my elderly mother, always checking up on her and asking me how she was doing. All meals were fresh and home-made.
If you are looking for a rainforest tour in Puerto Maldonado, look no further than this tour, highly recommended. I cannot recommend this tour enough.

Lots of activities ,very well organized during the day and night .
Food is freshly prepared, organic,tasty, abundant..
Excellent value for the money.
Heat and humidity could be an issue for the sensitive ones...however , swimming pool is open 24 h available to cool off...
Bug spray and sunscreen is a must!

A unique experience indeed. We saw a tone of amazing wildlife and it was so incredibe to be up close to this nature. The meals provided were good quality. Our tour guide Tito was fantastic also. He was 73 and born in the area. He knew so much and able to answer all of our questions.
So the downsides... Be warned that the heat is inescapable. There are no fans or coolers. The only way to cool down was the pool which was warm being in the heat and then the pool turned my blonde hair green!!!
We had a lot of downtime and wished we had actually booked the two night option instead. The fishing was at the wrong time of day to actually catch anything. the ziplines are fun, but don't take up much time.
I would recommend this tour to anyone who is really enthusiastic about nature and Wildlife. Just make sure you come prepared for the heat and bring a book for all of the downtime you will have.

We booked a 3 nights / 4 days tour and we’re absolutely fascinated with the trip. Especially our guide Louis was awesome. He was very experienced in the jungle and showed us many species. Also we felt always safe with him knowing he has a huge back of experience. Thank you one more time for the great adventure! We can absolutely recommend the trip to anyone.

The tour itself was amazing. We highly recommend it! However, try to book via the Monte Amazonico Lodge itself instead of via Viator. If you book directly the Tambopata ticket is included. If you book via Viator you will have to pay 15 dollars per person upon arrival.
