The food was wonderful - local food.
Our guide was knowledgeable and helpful. We took a trip out to “Monkey Island,” which is apparently home to 6 monkeys. The trek was interesting, but we saw one out of the 6 supposedly available monkeys.
Information about what we needed to have with us was incomplete, and we were pretty much told we needed to leave most of our packed things behind as the boat couldn’t accommodate them. Consequently we didn’t have the appropriate things with us in order to participate in a couple of the activities.
Don’t try to squeeze this in as a quick trip. Our plane was late, so we missed the morning activity. The tour operator did rearrange things as best she could to accommodate this, which we appreciated. But you need to build in plenty of time before and after your trip out to the resort.
Be prepared with portable chargers as there is electricity for only 4 hours a day, since they are powered by solar stored electricity. We were fine since we did come with that.

Regarding Monkey Island, wildlife sightings in the Amazon can vary from day to day because the animals move freely in their natural habitat. Even so, we are glad you still enjoyed the excursion and jungle experience.

Says it's a private tour but it's not, we spent the majority of the time with two other groups, up to about 15 people. Wish I saved the money and went for a group one
No WiFi at the lodge or reception
Power for only 3 hours a night, about 6:30-9:30
Our guides English was hard to understand at some points, but really nice man

We’re sorry to hear about the confusion regarding the tour type. Some activities, such as boat transfers and certain excursions, are occasionally shared with small groups to minimize environmental impact within the Reserve — but we understand how this might have differed from your expectations.
As for the Wi-Fi and limited electricity, this is part of the lodge’s eco-friendly setup — designed to preserve the natural surroundings and offer guests a genuine rainforest experience. It was great but didn’t exactly follow the itinerary we signed up for. I suspect because the tour started late and something had to go. (We missed the parrots). Lake Sandavol and following night walk was exceptional, river otters to tarantulas. Guides were terrific and food was ok but nothing spectacular.
