My grandson taking photos holding a monkey and a big lizard.The food was good and filling but the road to the restaurant was very bumpy and uncomfortable and the AC in the van was horrible

Extremely long day but good views

Please be advised that when you book through viator, you’re actually booking the trip through a middle man who then books you into the excursion with a separate company. We got booked with tours Cancun Suaste, which you can find their reviews on google. I think the experience would’ve been memorable if not for the amount of people and amount of time spent on the bus. There were 50 people total. We were picked up at our hotel at 6:30am and did not return until 11pm. Originally we were told we should be done around 7/8pm, so this was a lot later than we anticipated. We truly weren’t prepared for it to be 16.5 hours, with 11.5 of them spent on the bus picking up other passengers/driving between destinations. We didn’t arrive in Tulum until 11:30am due to the amount of people we had to pick up. Being there was great and you got to learn about Mayan history. We were there for 2 hours before heading to Coba, it was very hot so I would recommend bringing sunscreen and a hat/sunglasses. Coba was about 45 minutes away and we spent an hour there. The history of Coba is mind blowing and expansive so it would’ve been nice to have a bit more time there. I highly recommend renting the bicycles or paying for the tricycle transportation because in one hour you simply don’t have time to see everything and make it to the grand temple in the back. After Coba, we went to the cenote. This truly was the highlight of the trip and almost made all the time spent on the bus worth it. The food there was great, the cenote was gorgeous and you could dive into it and it also had swings. You do have to pay a mandatory fee of $50 MXN pesos per person for life jackets in order to swim so keep that in mind. Once we left the cenote, we headed to playa de Carmen and dropped people off along the way. When we arrived, it was 8pm and a lot of people wanted to go home. A few tried asking the tour guides if anything could be done for those of us that didn’t want to stop at the last excursion, but were informed that we’d have to stay put until 9pm when the shuttle was set to depart playa del Carmen. At 9pm we departed and started dropping people off, it took 2 hours and we were the last group to arrive at our hotel at 11pm since we were coming from Playa Mujeres. Overall, I would not recommend this trip if you’re staying in Playa Mujeres/Cancun. We finished the trip wishing we would’ve rented our own car to make the drive or just stayed in the Cancun area. It might’ve been different if we were staying closer and had less stops along the way. If you decide to book it, please be prepared for an extremely long day with most spent on the bus. Bring sunscreen and towels for the cenote, water bottles are provided for you along the way. Tour guides were nice and made an effort to teach you the history. My partner who speaks only English had a hard time understanding because the guides speak mainly Spanish, so I had to translate for him. Again, just be cautious when booking that due to the amount of people and amount of stops, this might not be the excursion you were hoping for. We would’ve opted for something closer, private, shorter, or with less viewing points had we known.

The bus ride was very long so we didn't get to spend much time at each place. 6 hours+ on bus was just too much. The guides were great though.

I have to say this was my first tour, and it was amazingly great our tour guide Elroy please forgive me if it's wrong but he is in the pictures 😉 He was very informative and funny and we were a little bit late and he waited on us!! The wait time was not long through out the trip, everyone came back at the designated time. For the money we paid everything was good from the food to the service of each desinated stop to the bus driver😉 What I loved the most probably is the drivers for the bikes carriages in the forest they was really getting it and they are fast too. Lol thank you for an amazing experience. Bonus we meet the most amazing people on the bus tour.The only thing I could complain about that it was very Hot🥵 but we made it through make sure you drink water one of my friends brought pink himalayan salt to put in our water to put electrolytes back in us.
