Get a great introduction to Western Australia’s capital city on a packed, half-day sightseeing tour. After morning pickup at your hotel or a central meeting point, head to the lovely Kings Park Botanic Gardens for panoramic views of the cityscape.
Continue on by air-conditioned coach for a narrated sightseeing tour through central Perth. Listen to your guide’s onboard commentary as you drive past highlights including St. George's Terrace, historic Town Hall, Elizabeth Quay, and an iconic riverside bell tower.
Next, drive along the coast and see Cottesloe Beach. Continue south across the Swan River to the historic seaport of Freemantle, where many original buildings were constructed by convicts in the 1880s. Admire the colonial landmarks and—if visiting on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday—browse community markets to pick up fresh local produce or unique knick-knacks.
Midday, return to Perth via coach.

I’m so glad I took this tour on my first day in Perth. Learned so much and grabbed some great knowledge for the rest of my stay. A very small group meant everything ran very smoothly and the guide was very knowledgeable on so many subjects. Also gave some heads up for upcoming tours. I highly recommended this for all new travellers to Perth.

It was a nice tour and was as described and useful to get an insight of the area in Perth on the Swan River and quick walk around Fremantle. We weren’t long in Fremantle then returned to the boat back to the harbour in Perth.
However, in retrospect a lot of the trips booked from Perth wharf go on the same journey to get to other destinations e.g. Rottnest Island and the journey repeats with a change onto a ferry at Fremantle. The captains commentary was very knowledgeable and made the trip up the river very interesting. A good start to our first day in Australia.

Loved the stop at the market. You really get a feel for both Perth and Freemantle on those tour. The stop at Kings Park was lovely with great views of Perth.
The bus driver/ guide did an excellent job of giving some history of the two cities and the importance of the atea.

Chris was knowdegable being long time resident with great sense of humour ! Enjoyed the tours around Perth then Fremantle. He was also helpful with lunch & next leg of tour by boat back to Perth. Lovely weather & enjoyable trip from Fremantle to Perth. Commentary was useful though sometimes hard to hear. Staff at wharf provided useful info for next 2 tours. Think Chris should get more driving time as he was excellent !!

The bus commentary was very informative. It was good to have an hour approx at Kings Park and another stretch of the legs at Fremantle. Organisation of the tour on the day was a bit chaotic, but staff were helpful in sorting out pickups. Although it says that hotel pickups are available you don’t find out if they will pick you up at your nominated hotel until after you have booked. If you choose to do the optional Swan River cruise there is little information about it until the day. Turns out is operated by Captain Cook Cruises and runs from Freemantle back to Perth. If you’ve done or are doing a Rottnest Island ferry from Perth, don’t do the cruise as it doubles up the commentary and route with the ferry ride.

Didn’t start off too well with Rose , not waiting to pick us up . We arrived early and stood under a tree as it was raining and when we approached the bus it loaded on two people and proceeded to leave ! My husband flagged it down luckily and they stopped up the road . They were aware of us being picked up there but did not wait at all .. then bus proceeded to another pick up point and sideswiped a van as it pulled in to pick up .. didn’t even stop to let them know they hit them . The large black skid mark on the side of the bus was proof and we found this quite unacceptable . Then we changed into a smaller bus with Chris , and it leaked quite badly , water just flooding out of the roof all over two seats and the floor and when bus turned corners the water blew back to us and we were wet .. other than that the day was enjoyable

We only had a few days in Perth & this was a good, easy way to get a feel for the area with some local history & knowledge thrown in. Did the weekend tour to get the Fremantle markets. Could have skipped the boat trip back to Perth as we did it again the next day going to Rottnest.
