Also known as the Swan Bells, the bell tower contains twelve bells made in the 14th century for St Martin-in-the-Fields church in London's Trafalgar Square. Make your own way to Barrack Square to enter the Bell Tower at the time of your choice.
As you tour the building, learn about the history of the bells from 14th-century London to modern-day Australia. Experience an interactive demonstration on the art of chiming a bell with chiming demonstrations taking place Monday through Saturday every half an hour between 10:30am to 2:30pm. You even have the option to record a free video postcard to send to your family and friends. You'll also receive a bell chiming certificate as a souvenir.
Please Note: Every Monday and Thursday 12pm-1pm, the bell ringers are ringing the bells in concert; no chiming demonstrations take place during these times. If you are planning a visit to hear the ancient bells or practice bell chiming, please contact the supplier in advance to reconfirm the ringing times. Days and times are subject to change without notice.

The actually chiming of the bells is quite physical-wear a good pair of shoes because you'll bounce a little as you ring.
The staff were absolutely lovely and the tour was funny and educational and lots of fun. A must for history buffs.

The top of the tower provides amazing views of the city. Aim to be there at 12.00 and see the big bell ring. The bell ringing was fun too.

Although the actual bell tower was interesting enough, the commentary was quite uninspiring. We all got a chance to ring the bells. We thought they would have told us about the giant bell hanging. But nothing was said.

Totally awesome experience. Loved learning how to ring a bell. They are extremely heavy. My favorite thing was seeing the Anzac 100 year commemoration bell and seeing/ hearing it ring.

Make sure you pay for the tour. Jeff our tour guide was fantastic, he was so knowledgeable. Ringing the bells was so much fun, not as easy as it looks. The whole setup of this bell tower is amazing, great displays, good views, took fantastic photos. Thankyou for the friendly welcoming staff couldn’t do more for you. A must to do. Thankyou

Defineitly a must do when in Perth! Our guide Howard was an absolute delight. The experience of doing a hands on bell ringing experience was not only something different, but really insightful as to how much work throughout our history has gone in to bell ringing, and how important bells are world wide. Loved the experience, the views & the people. Great activity for a fair price!

Very interesting history around the. Bells and informative displays. Everyone got instruction on how to ring a bell and each person in the group got to ring a different sounding bell. At the top of the tower we could play from a range of melodies on the carillon which gave out a lovely sound. The modern glass building which houses the bells gives amazing views of the city. Had a good range of souvenirs available in the shop and they were very well priced compared to others around town. Highly recommended.

This is another unique experience in Perth. My husband and I totally enjoyed ringing the historic bells. I just realised that bell ringing is no easy job. Even the structure of tower is one of a kind as it is strategically located facing the Swan River. We truly enjoyed our experiences in Perth and we’re looking forward to coming back in the near future.

being bell ringers ourselves we wanted to see this set in action. We were delighted to not only see these bells from London and Ascot racecourse, we were allowed to play them. A really exceptional experience.
