Kevin was a wonderful guide that took us to many local places we would never find as tourists. We enjoyed a broad range of Malaysian food and he explained all the origins. So worth it at the beginning of your stay to understand where to go and what to eat local style!!

We had a great food tour with Junie. She drove us to five different areas to try about 10 different dishes which really gave us a great overview of the many different types of dishes and food available in the area as well as a bit of city tour. She also told us a lot about the town and its different ethnic groups. At the end she even kindly sent us some recommendations for other restaurants to try based on the dishes we liked the most. We really enjoyed the tour and highly recommend it!

Junie was a fantastic tour guide. We went to some really great places to eat, trying different types of food and drinks and she also answered a lot of questions about Penang and its history in general.
We were 3 vegetarians and 1 vegan and Junie accommodated our dietary requirements with no problems, we felt treated the same as the others with no requirements and we didn’t miss out on anything.
Having the minivan drive us between stops made it easier to cover more ground in the heat. Also a nice way to see some of Georgetown.
Highly recommend!

The tour guide Kevin Wong was excellent and has huge wealth of knowledge . Amazing tour and loved each place we went. Sone of food not to my taste but was well worth doing

Fantastic experience! Mr Kevin picked us up from our hotel and drove us around Georgetown. We made 5 different stops to try multiple food items which represented the different cultures living in Georgetown.

We had a great time with Kevin! His local knowledge helped to make the evening so interesting. The food that we experienced all around Georgetown was exceptional. From memory we made 5 stops with at least 2... 3 or more dishes at each spot. Kevin's organisation at each stop was great. We were there during Chinese NY celebrations so he gave us some great hints for fireworks viewing etc. Would highly recommend this tour...especially if you're lucky enough to have Kevin as your guide! Had an amazing tour with Junie! Ate a wide variety of tasty bites at places we never would or could have discovered on our own. Make sure you don't eat lunch, there's so many things to try, you will be stuffed by the end of it :). Having the a/c car was great as we could get all around town for various different types of foods easily, and do so comfortably.

Kevin is an incredibly knowledgeable guide, taking us to his favourite spots.
Do not eat lunch. Have a hearty breakfast to see you through till 5pm.
Being transported in the car is a wonderful restbite from the heat.
Must do for travellers to Penang.

Kevin and Janice were exceptional guides! They were knowledgeable and very organized. As a team they transported us in their clean and air-conditioned van to around 5 or 6 hawker stands, restaurants , food carts and a few historical places of interest. The next day I noticed 2 credit cards had fallen out of my wallet and I contacted Kevin to check and see if they were in the van. Within minutes Kevin and Janice found the cards and delivered them to me. They were both professional, genuinely friendly and passionate about their food tour!

Really enjoyed eating street food like a local Kevin was very informative and accommodating. He gave us a good social insight to the area, explained the history of the jetties and the various economics of social housing. He explained each type of food and it’s origins along with where possible introducing us to the chief or proprietor

This tour is a total rip-off. It is not worth US60 per head for sharing 1-2 orders with 5-6 people from the tour. It is also unorganized by making us eat dessert first, then the soup at the end of the tour.

We joined Kevin for the evening Eat like a local tour. The tour lived up to it's name, as we visited places, and tried food, that we wouldn't have otherwise.
Over 5 stops we sampled a wide variety of local cuisine. We liked some dishes more than others, of course, but all of them were interesting, and worth trying. There was a lot of food, so I suggest you go with an empty stomach.
Kevin was friendly and fun, and also gave some us some sightseeing as we travelled around. We especially appreciated that the smaller group size 3 made the tour more personal than food tours we have taken in other cities.
Overall, an excellent tour and highly recommended.
