There’s a lot of wine and cider tasting! But it’s worth every penny. I really enjoyed myself on this tour and our tour guide was fun. She was very informative when driving us to all 3 destinations and making sure she told us the history behind some of the places we drove past. She made sure everyone was comfortable in the van and also made sure we were taking advantage of the snacks in the van lol. I would definite recommend this place to anyone that enjoys wine & cider tasting

Great day exploring unspoilt Pontiac. Fun encounters and great wine and food too at three very different stops. Guide was great.

Jonathan was a wonderful host. Great way to spend the day. All of the hosts at the Vineyards and Cider house were very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

We, a senior couple (72 & 69) really enjoyed this tour. We were picked by the tour bus driven by Jonathan at the Hilton and drove to the 3 stops. The roads were typical bumpy, and the leaves were changing colour these were sometimes narrow country roads. Jonathan provided information about our surroundings along the way. The weather was cool, but pleasant. The first stop was a winery operated by Scott if memory serves; it's in a nice settings with rows of vines easy to see and they still had loads of grapes hanging. We sat down in a beautifully decorated serving area and had the loaded charcuterie plate with local cheeses, nuts, sausage slices etc... all while sampling 4 wines which my wife and enjoyed enough to buy 5 bottles. The information provided by Scott about the wines and history was excellent and made for a very enjoyable stop.
The next stop was a Cidrerie (cider making) place and this was a quaint spot with a heavenly apple pie odor awaiting us. Here we were offered 2 cider in frosted little mugs and both were quite good! Then we got a tour of the operation and the history of the family owned business and this too was very informative and colorfully narrated by Greg. Then we got a piece of apple pie with ice cream! Yes it was very good!
Our 3rd stop was another Winery also in a picturesque setting. We walked uphill to the vines and got a really good idea of the operation with Martin providing details. As it was cool, we went back inside and Martin provided a 'lesson' which we all thoroughly enjoyed his teaching experience shining through: we learnt about sugar content in wine, about process differences to make white, red, rosé and range wines. We bought a couple more bottles here too.
It made for a great day, a very enjoyable day which I would highly recommend.

It was a great day that went too fast! The three stops were all unique but excellent. Could have spent longer in every location, and the scenery along the way was stunning. Very informative guides and great produce, if we hadn't been flying would have bought a lot more! Will definitely use this tour operator again. Bus was clean, and had great snacks. See you next time!

What a high energy fun day !! The ride along highway 148 was stunningly beautiful. It's hard to decide what the best part of the day was ~ The wine and the food were delicious. I really enjoyed the history, the stories and the art exhibit as well. I loved the opportunity to take photos and meet fun people. It was a well planned out day and the tour guide was amazing !
My parting thought was... ok when is the next trip?
Chantal_D, Aug 2024
The 3 stops were fun and interesting. I learned a lot. The individual chacuterie board, wine, apple crumble, cider, and snacks provided were generous. I had read previous comments of the tour indicating to bring a lunch as not enough food was served. Have to mention that I didn't end up eating the lunch I had brought as I was too full. You get your money's worth for sure!
The guides provided intersting information and were very nice.
I have 3 recommendations to help improve the tour for others: 1) a dry run with new personnel and the supervisor would be beneficial. The supervisor telling the new guy what information to share is distracting and must be awkward for the new person. Especially with an audience listening in the van. 2) The last stop was beautiful and the hosts provided interesting wine information and took us on a tour of the vineyard. However, I have to say that their wine was pretty bland compared to the others. Nobody from our tour purchased any bottles of wine which I found unfortunate for the hosts. 3) The new guide needs to improve his pitch regarding tipping. I tipped because I am a nice person but part of me didn't want to because his pitch angered me. His pitch was - if you enjoyed tour please give us a tip to show your appreciation. If you didn't enjoy the tour, leave us a tip anyways so we can improve. Really!!
Other than those 3 points, my sister and I had a great day.

Hi Chantal,
Thank you very much for your feedback. We are glad you had a good time on the tour and appreciated the different stops. We are sorry your experience with our guide in training was not exceptional. We did let go this guide as he did not meet our standards of service. I can assure you that we will be acting upon your comments and making sure that our guests always feel comfortable at all times during our tours. We hope you had a great time and we do look forward to hosting you in the near future.

We highly recommend this activity if you are visiting Ottawa and would like to spend a day close to nature, culture and history. It was a great experience to get in touch with the owners of the wineries / cider and know from first hand how to produce wine and cider.
The food and beverages in this tour are very tasty and delicious. My congratulations for organizing these tours and show people about this great places in Gatineau that need to be promoted. It's important to keep this places that are part of historical sites full of good memories and culture.

Very well organized from pickup to drop off. Our guides Robert and Zachary were very kind and thoughtful. Lots of snacks and wonderful Charcuterie plate at the Little Red Wagon.
I would definitely try another tour with Viator they pay attention to detail and are enthusiastic about sharing the stories and culture!

Jacob was a wonderful tour guide and the stops were lovely. That first stop at Mont Vezeau was a wonderful spot and I could have stayed there all day long. The owner was interesting and knowledgeable and the property was gorgeous.
The lunch spot at Maloney farm was great. The farmer was charming and the lunch was delicious - and generous.
The Organic winery was a converted Cabane a suc was great, the passionate owners were interesting and wine was very nice.
The final stop was a cidery, which we really enjoyed. They had a variety of ciders and we left with a lot of their honey!
I would recommend this trip to anyone visiting the region who are looking for a lovey day in the Petite Nation.

Amazing tour. We went to 3 places which was perfect as each place had about 3-5 tastings. The locations were great as it felt very local and family owned. The owners explained a lot about their journey and process and was very knowledgeable and insightful.

Brandon the owner excellent in communicating pick up details prior to the tour. Zack was an amazing tour guide who was highly punctual, enthusiastic, and informative throughout the trip! We went to several locations for wine and cider tasting; each place with their own charms and story. My partner and I had so much fun and look forward to trying this tour in the fall. Thank you!
Response from Host, Aug 2024
Hi Samantha, thank you so much for your kind words! It was a pleasure hosting you both and we look forward to hosting you again in the Fall season! It is such a great season to be in the region! Until next time!
Yogeshwaree_K, Jul 2024
Great day trip! We had lots of fun, and Zak was an amazing guide. The tour starts at 11 am and lunch is a nice charcuterie board which feels more like an appetizer. Hence we recommend you have a hearty breakfast or bring some sandwiches with you. You can fill your water bottles at the stops and snack such as Miss Vickies, Rice Krispies and bear paws are provided in the van. In all, we would absolutely recommend this tour, and the vineyards as well the cider factory were just awesome! A+++.
Celena_W, Jul 2024
Amazing tour!! Well worth the price! Our tour guide Zak was engaging and so helpful!
All 3 venues were fabulous! So glad we did it!
Stephane_F, Jul 2024
We had a great time, Zach was a great guide. The Little Red Wagon was so charming, and the wines and food were great. Coronation Hall was amazing, a place with such history, and delicious ciders and apple desserts! And the view at Les Collines was just as good as the wine! Definitely recommend!
Danielle_R, May 2024
The guides were awesome! Very knowledgeable and fully bilingual. Pick up on time, snacks, sunscreen and mosquitoes repellent in the van. Very pleasant, I recommend this tour to any 18years + since it fits for a variety of age. The vineyard we visited, their owners are so welcoming and make you feel like home but with more wine in your basement!

The tour was good and went well and I'd recommend it to others. I would stress that there is snacks given and not really a substantial meal though. We planned ahead and brought sandwiches which was the right thing to do as I imagine the others who didn't were extremely hungry. Pickup is at 11am and drop-off around 6pm. You get a slice of pie at the cidery and a small amount of charcuterie at Little Red Wagon. There are snacks in the van also.
We had no issues since we brought a bag lunch. Other than that small detail I thought it was worth it.
John_P, Oct 2023
An excellent combination of beautiful autumn scenery, tasting excellent ciders and wines paired with tasty charcuterie and delicious apple pie! Add in a friendly, humorous, and competent driver-guide with perfect weather, not to mention friendly travel companions on the tour bus - that makes for a great day trip exploring the Pontiac region of Quebec!
Maurice_N, Oct 2023
This was an excellent tour, however, there was a lack of a "lunch". Tour starts at 11am, and you share 1 charcuterie board with the group around 330pm, oh and a delicious slice of apple pie at the cider stop. Granted they do provide snacks on the bus, it's not the lunch we expected. Other than that there was a 4th stop that was not on the itinerary that was in our opinion, the best winery of the day! This tour is much recommended. (Eat before going) Zack was a great tour guide! I saved a few of his cheesy dad jokes to tell the kids lol he was very knowledgeable about facts of the Pontiac region.
Murray_K, Sep 2023
Highly recommend this tour! Zack was our driver/tour guide who is very knowledgeable and friendly. We caught up to the other tour group and had an opportunity to meet Brandon, the tour company owner/guide.
Even though there was a set schedule to get from one place to the next, not once did we feel rushed! Each stop felt like we have more than enough time to fully enjoy the each venue by immersing ourselves at each location with a chance to chat with each winery owners.
Keep up the good work!!
Dipesh_S, Sep 2023
Had a great time. Zach and Brandon were very personable. All stops were very picturesque. The food and wine pairing served great food.
farruggia, Aug 2023
The knowledge and warm hospitality of all the vineyards. Nice to actually meet many of the owners and having them share their stories and thoughts of wine making.
Liz_B, Aug 2023
There are so many things about this experience that make it memorable and so worth the money we paid for the tour.
I would say the one thing that stood out for me was our host Jacob. He was welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating, and funny. He was so attentive to each person on the tour, interacting with everyone making sure they were enjoying themselves and curious about their opinions of the wine and winery hosts.
A great way to enjoy the area and some fantastic wine
Response from Host, Sep 2023
