I cannot say enough good things about this tour. Elena was amazing with sharing her knowledge. We met at the furnicular and she took us to a view overlooking the area and shared the history of the area. Although St. Patrick's Well was not part of the tour, at our request, she went down with us and again, explained how it came about. It was very impressive. We went on the half bus around the town and she shared tidbits of information about the different neighborhoods. The rest of the tour was at the Duomo and it is so impressive. We stepped back and Elena talked about the general history of how, when, why it was built. As we went inside, she shared details that I'm sure we would have missed if we toured it on our own. And the chapel???? Amazing what the artist did and again, Elena had so much knowledge of the particulars of all the paintings. After we toured the inside, we went outside and really looked at the outside front of the church. There is so much symbolism there. I am in awe of Elena's knowledge :) I highly recommend this tour.

Our tour was informative and our guide was patient with us. She answered questions but was not as personable as some other tour guides we’ve encountered.
It was a good experience learning about the city and the cathedral. I would definitely book this experience again.
Orvieto is jewel of a village. Our guide, Max, was tops. His passion for Italian history was deep in the fabric of his presentation. He covered Orvieto from the Etruscan civilization through the renaissance. He incorporated the importance of mythology as the basis of the people’s understanding aspects of life.
This private tour was a wonderful way to learn about Orvieto. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and she provided great insights into the history of Orvieto. We were fortunate to have the organ playing at times in the Duomo while doing our tour and, while it got a little difficult to hear our guide, it really enhanced the overall experience. This tour is definitely recommended!

Emma was born in Orvieto and lives nearby in a very small village accessible only by footbridge. It is clear the passion she has for Orvieto. Her historical knowledge was outstanding, and she answered any questions we had. The tour of the Cathedral was the highlight. Emma was very kind and truly engaged with us.
