Worked as advertised. I have never really had a bad tour but some you want to go solo and this is perfect for that! You decide when to go and at what pace. The ride up is beautiful and the drivers were safe and the van is not that cramped. Greta value

Easy and cheap enough way to see Monte Alban at our own pace without doing a guided tour. You pick your pick up time on the way there and there is a return each hour in the afternoon til 5pm.

Great shuttle to Monte Alban

We took this shuttle which departs from Lesca Tours near the Zocalo. It’s behind a bunch of tents selling things so it may be a bit hard to find but there is a sign that says Lesca Tours. They depart on the half hour from Oaxaca (8:30, 9:30, etc). Buying a ticket on Viator should guarantee you the seat versus if you just show up and try to pay. Our bus even at the 8:30 first bus was full. You get to Monte Albán in about 25-30 minutes with no traffic. The return trip is supposed to arrive at the Monte Alban parking lot on the hour and they seem to have an option starting at 11:00 am which is not on the schedule. If you have an activity afterwards, give yourself an additional half hour because there is traffic going up Monte Alban in the afternoon. Our bus scheduled for return to Oaxaca was supposed to be 12:00 but due to traffic, they didn’t arrive until 12:20 and we made it back to Oaxaca close to 1 pm. They were very responsive when we messaged them, which we appreciated. Overall, it was a great shuttle and a great way to get to Monte Alban without needing to go with a whole tour group which in my opinion, you don’t need a whole tour to visit. Just watch some YouTube vids on the ruins or hire a guide on site.

Thanks for a clean, safe, pleasant transfer to the ruins! I appreciated the flexibility in pick up times. I found 1.5 hours to be a good amount of time for an able bodied solo traveler, but there’s a nice restaurant I could have lounged at, too. If you’re with family, take 2-3 hours to enjoy the ruins at a slower pace.

Drivers were on time and were very respectful. We opted for the shuttle service and it was nice we could pace our trip. It took about 3.5 hours to look at the entire place. Earlier in the morning was less hot and less crowded.

Good option to visit Monte Alban on your own

Just a regular shuttle service, you get what you pay for. The car was clean and had air conditioning. However they’re not well organized, when returning to the city, the driver didn’t wait for all people and on the way he received a call from the staff and we had to go back again to pick up the rest of people.

Eventful trip to Mount Alban

Pick up was fine once we located the office which was a bit hard to see because of all the stalls in front. Pick up at 3pm just as a huge thunderstorm struck with torrential rain and hail. Got trapped in a flooded street for about 30 minutes until the water receded. Thankfully the van stated again and he dropped us off about 3 blocks away from the Zocola. Was a bit annoyed that some on the bus paid with cash and it was a good deal cheaper than we paid. Still got us to Monte Alban and back efficiently in the end.

The tour has two addresses listed. One of them is just wrong. I went at 1230 and the lady told me that it’s not till 1. She then walked me a few blocks where I waited a while for a bus and when I showed him my voucher he just charged me 90 pesos. Viator wouldn’t refund me either. Will not use this app again

Thanks for sharing your review!BUT Like I explain you before , you did not arrive to any of our offices listed on your reservation , you where on the WRONG company and the wrong Tour Office thats why they charged you , so is very important to make sure you are on Lescas Co Tours ,our transportation and offices have the Logo and name exhibited on them ! And you can look for our address on Google , call us or text us before in cases like this one . Its matter of being observant and aware of your surroundings too! Safe travels !
