What To Expect
Hop in your very own open-top 4x4 all-terrain vehicle (ATV) for an exciting day of exploring Nassau.
First, choose your rental length, head to the rental facility, and then ride off into Nassau, exploring the sights.
Choose to visit the Queen's Staircase, or spend some time on beautiful Arawak Cay. Don't pass up Fort Charlotte, the largest of the three forts on the island. The late-18th-century fortress was built by Lord Dunmore. See some evidence of very early life on the Bahamas at the Caves where 10th-century inhabitants lived.
Ultimately, the itinerary is up to you, and you can choose to visit only the landmarks that visit you most. Your adventure and rental ends when you drop off your vehicle at the departure point, all at your preselected time.

- Guests will be required to sign a rental contract at check in and leave a refundable damage deposit of $500.00 per vehicle.
- Car seats are required for infants 5 years and younger available at extra cost.
- Roundtrip transportation is ONLY included from the cruise port.
- Vehicle gasoline must be returned as received.
- Guests should arrive at meeting location 15 minutes prior to start time.

It could not of gone any better. I got off the boat, said to a lady asking if anyone needs a taxi, "where do I go for bowcar". She opened a gate then they were right there ready to go. A shuttle arrived in about 10 minutes and took as to pick up the sxs. They ran through everything and quickly knowing I wanted maximum time to explore the island on my day in port. It had some minor scraches and a couple small broken trim pieces, but they pointed out everything, and none affected our use for the day. We also loved the bluetooth speaker and having our own vehicle was so much better than waiting on a bus tour to explore. It also made us quick so we beat the crowds to the high tourist spots like the rum cake factory and queens staircase vs walking the island. I will not visit the island again without this option. 100% just do it and make your own journey. Also, when you pick up, they give you a nice list of cool places to visit already loaded into google maps. You just pick the place you want to see. This saved time trying to figure out were else we wanted to go.

Download your adventure BEFORE you leave the states.
Internet is sketchy.
We paid just $10 bucks more to rent a Garmin, although, it wasn’t correct with one way streets, we would not have been able to navigate the island without it.
Six hours is a lot longer than you think. Plan big and explore!!!!!
Nassau has so much history.
Historic churches, school, graveyards, zoo, statues, historic markers, several forts, a cave. We utilized the entire six hours.
On the island, they pump your gas for you. Make sure you look at the pump because the intendant tried to rip us off two separate times getting gas. Let’s see you give them $10. They will put seven in it and hope you don’t look at the gas pump and then try to play stupid. It’s not a mistake because it happened each time we got gas so pay attention to get your money is worth because gas was $5.25 a gallon on the day we went.
You got to bring your Polaris back with the same amount of gas you took it with so for instance, we put $10 in it and we literally drove the entire day. Stopping randomly to tour forts and get some snapshots of church etc. but I guarantee you we had easily five hours of constant driving in that buggy, and we didn’t even use 10 bucks of gas.

Was different driving on a different side of the road. It was fun. The staff was amazing. The vehicle was nice. They gave us 4 different destinations to go to. A backroad guide would have been helpful. If you are just driving around you might enjoy a rental car.

As far as the activity (driving a jeep/buggy around the beach), I completely recommend! As far as using this company, I don’t necessarily have the same opinion. We struggled to find the pick up place (don’t use the address noted in the emails from viator)!!! You’re way better off asking a Nassau ambassador how to find the kiosks. The staff working at the front of the kiosk were busy signing other people up for same day rentals and we had to wait 25+ minutes for a shuttle to take us to the pick up site for our rental. We didn’t get that lost time back on our reservation time (we didn’t ask for it, but we had hoped the company would offer it). Families who had just signed up (same day rental) were directed to the shuttle before us. When we asked for an eta and pointed out our reservation had already started, one staff member rolled her eyes. The general impression we got was that the staff doesn’t like to work through third party companies like viator. They don’t get a commission or tips from our buy via Viator. The customer service provided to us felt substandard in comparison to others around us. Other staff were fine, the shuttle driver was friendly and reset the mood. No issue with the rental itself and it worked ok! Drop off was easy.

Everything was great! Easy to find, right off the pier; staff was welcoming and friendly.
The equipment was almost like new and in great working conditions, they provided us with a most see map and that was very helpful. Definitely recommend using Bowcar for your Nassau UTV rentals

I was not able to find the pickup spot. I asked several locals & was directed all different directions. My wife & I had our four kids with us & they were getting cranky. Our time at this port was cut shorter than originally planned so we headed back to the boat To try to salvage what was left of the day.

Use the Viator app to find rental pickup location if getting a shuttle from the cruise port. Had a great rental experience. Used Google maps to drive the scenic Bay street to see Jaws beach, Caves, fish fry, and Queen's staircase.

The people that worked there were awesome! Gave us all the info we needed about how to “stay left”. Check in and check out process was very professional and friendly. Buggies were extremely clean and in great condition.

Staff was very professional and friendly. Everything was as described in the posting. I will definitely do this again. I highly recommend.
It was my first time driving in Nassau and around the island. Local drivers were very kind. You get the hang of driving on the left side of the road after a little while.

Great experience. Really enjoyed being able to see the island at our own pace. The recommendation for Clifton Heritage national park for off-roading was amazing. We were some of the only people at the entire park which let us enjoy pristine beaches without crowds. I wish I could change two things:
1: when reserving online, there were only two time slots available (9AM and 1PM). Our ship arrived at 10:30 so it made a full day rental (which we wanted to do) impossible. Adding flexible START times to the rental would be great.
2: our GPS was in Spanish😂. We were able to figure it out but it certainly made it challenging.
Overall it was a great experience that I would do again in a heartbeat! Well done!

Great experience! Went on a Bahamas cruise with family (6 people), got a 6 hour rental. Flexible start time because it takes a while for the whole family to mobilize and get off the cruise (also had a foldable wheelchair). Bowcar rental booth is right at the end of the port. They take you on a shuttle to their site with ATVs and the buggy cars. Insurance is a $500 deposit that is returned to you if car brought back in the same condition. They also give you a GPS that is easy to use (Garmin) and lets you get around the island. We took the car to the west end of the island to see Jaws beach. Just keep in mind that there is no windshield so it will get windy at higher speeds. Overall very friendly workers, clean car that ran without issues, and was a great choice to allow for flexible exploration of the island.

The buggy is super clean and it was quite easy to find their booth outside the port. I would recommend renting it for 6 hours in case you plan to explore further away from the downtown and if you plan to swim for a while. We regret taking it for 6 h as the weather was cold and the water was freezing. We also rented the GPS which was quite helpful. The only downside is that there is no place to park it downtown!! We only used it for 5 hours and then we went back to the drop off location and asked them to drive us to the downtown. By the way, the downtown is right across the port so you don’t need a car by then.

The road buggy was very fun! It was nice, new, and clean! The staff was great and very helpful! I would recommend either renting for a longer period or staying close by as some of the nicer beaches are about 45 min plus away. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because we rented the GPS and there wasn't a holder for it. So as we were driving it just kept sliding around. Also, the GPS itself kept going fuzzy and turning off which caused us to have to pull over quite a bit and wait for it to come back on and work again. Overall the experience was great and we got to explore some awesome places with it. I would definately recommend.

After the GPS got us lost in what looked to be an unsafe area, we returned the ATV after about 10 minutes. We gave up. But the workers encouraged us to try again. One escorted us to the west coast roads. After that it was a great experience. I would use phone GPS in addition to the ATV gps bc it wasn’t reliable. Lots of one way streets in town. Overall, it was a great purchase and fun exploring the island!
