Our guides Deangelo and Rusty were great, the whole staff was welcoming and friendly. Our group included ages 11-65 and everyone enjoyed themselves. It rained our entire tour, and the guides still gave us a once in a lifetime experience. I think the rain added another element of fun. I enjoyed learning some history of Nassau, the lunch we got at the end of the tour was so good!! I definitely recommend booking with Bowcar. I would book again just for the vibes!

It was great to travel around the island in an open air side by side. There were some technical difficulties with the speakers/microphone so we missed most of anything the tour guide said. The operation was well organized and vehicles maintained. Lunch was fantastic.

We chose the Narrated Jeep tour. What we got was a quasi-Jeep ATV type vehicle that we had to drive. We followed the one in front of us with the guide who drove. The radio didn’t work so we did NOT get a narrated tour. The guide, Rico, was great and did his best by us but this was not the experience we paid for. It is a good way to see the Island. Our lunch was very good.

We had a great time! Ben and Desire were our guides. They were great. It was easy to find the pick up location, just outside the cruise terminal. Shuttle came and got us and took us to the Bowcar rentals. Filled out paperwork and signed waivers. We rented the Jeeps/UTVs. They were very clean and nice condition. Not rundown. We were given head sets so that we could listen to Ben as we drove on the tour. I will say the only downside I found to the tour was that the Jeeps were last in the convoy line and we couldn’t hear ANYTHING on our headsets due to the distance between Ben at the front of the line and us at the back. That did stink because I feel like we missed out on some fun information and points of interest while driving. We stopped first at a tea store. I am not a tea person, but did end up buying 3 different kinds, as the samples of them were really good. We also stopped at a small cave. Nothing too spectacular there but it was neat little place. We then headed back and had an amazing lunch on the way. Ben shuttled our family back to the cruise terminal and on the way talked about a few of the places that we passed by, so I thought that was something a little extra he did for us. Overall, great time was had by our family. My 14 and 15 year olds also really enjoyed it so that was a plus. I did think there was supposed to be another stop but maybe not.

A great tour! Alexis was our guide. She made it so fun. The weather was beautiful so the UTV was the way to go. The headsets are great so you can hear Alexis tell you all about the sites as you go. This is the best way to see the island. Highly recommend Bowcar.

This was a great trip. Alexis our guide was awesome
Very informative and she explained the different landmarks around island to a T. I would definitely book with this company. Needless to say, the lunch thay was served at the end of the excursion was Amazing. Bbq chicken, ribs, rice and Mac n 🧀, with a nice refreshing lemonade type drink. It was my daughters 21st bday, the crew even sung to her at the end of our excursion.

We had a great tour, learning about Nassau. Our tour guide D’Angelo was well versed in his knowledge and was very helpful with getting us in and out of the Jeep. The time flew by and we will absolutely do this again!

We had so much fun driving around Nassau and getting to see more of the beautiful island. The tour guide was super friendly and took special care to make sure we were kept safe. We stopped at a local shop and had the option to buy tea or souvenirs and taste conch fritters (yummy). We ended by stopping for tasty lunch at a local restaurant.

We loved our tour of Nassau in our self driven open air Jeep with Rusty as our guide. Rusty kept us safe and was very knowledgeable. He took us to all the great sights of the island and for a tasty rum tasting and Bahamian lunch at a local restaurant. Thanks Bowcar for a terrific afternoon!

Cons:
• Instructions said to meet on the dock, gps location they gave showed in between cruise ships. Couldn’t find it. Finally called them and the first thing they said was “you’re late”. Turns out the meeting place was way outside the port gates.
• Time of excursion was 9:30, which is when we finally found that place after the phone call. They made a big fuss about how we were supposed to be there 40 minutes ago. Which the instructions said 20 minutes early- but they didn’t tell us where to find them so, didn’t make that.
• The gave us headsets so we could hear the tour guide Rusty, a nice guy, happy, pleasant. But we couldn’t hear anything the whole time driving around since we were too far back with the large group size.
• The man at the Queens Staircase had a lot of knowledge but, he was in cahoots with our tour guide and then peddled for tips, like what am I paying a tour guide for if he’s having another guy tell us about this place.
• The stops were underwhelming. Stopping at a tea shop where they gave us two samples of tea and few tastes of alcohol then tried to sell us stuff. Not exciting. Could find this every other street of shops.
• Showing us “landmarks” like - oh here’s the police station and jail; here’s the prime minister building… just driving by. Again, not really interesting.
• Lastly, they rushed us from the very cool stops we did have like the beach stop, queens staircase and caves.
Pros:
• Got to drive around and see some of the island. The beach we did stop and swim at for 15 minutes was gorgeous.
• The tiny caves were cool. Would’ve loved more tour guide knowledge with that. But there were lots of bats.
• Lunch at the restaurant was pretty good.
All in all I’d recommend downloading a map and renting your own atv and exploring at your own pace. Find a beach spot way down the coast and stay for a while.

Oh my goodness, this was by far my best experience in Nassau and I have been here several times! We were on a family cruise and decided to try out this tour. We were a little nervous when we got to Nassau because it was raining and we were afraid that we were going to be late. When we got to the rental location we were greeted by a friendly representative who told us the tour was pushed back a little because of the weather. What a relief! We were shuttled to our jeeps and paired with our tour guide Rusty, who did a phenomenal job! We went to the Queen's staircase, Tasty Tees where we sampled tea, and daiquiris and oh my goodness the conch fritters we sampled were AMAZING!!! We went to a cave which was quite an experience and Rusty actually took photos for us at each stop, so he also served as our photographer! The jeeps were spacious and my husband actually got a chance to drive on the left side of the road, which he was excited about. Last and certainly not least the lunch was DELICIOUS! We had rice, mac and cheese, steamed vegetables, ribs and chicken. Everything about this tour was great, so glad we gave it a try.

Overall, we had a wonderful time! The guides were amazing, very hospitable, always offering to take pictures, answer any questions, and were very friendly. All the stops were great! Even when we stopped at the caves, and he pointed out the almond tree... we asked him about the pods, he showed us how to open them.... not easy. Little things like that when we asked questions, were great! I thought we were stopping at a beach, which we didn't, but other than that, we had a wonderful time. Would definitely recommend.

The tour was good and the guide was super nice and friendly. The vehicles were in really good condition. I didn't like the stops we made. I did like the staircase and the cave but the other two that were on the description he did not take us because we ran out of time. We also didn't get to the beach which was a disappointing. Bahama is a beautiful place and we only saw the poor part of Bahamas instead of the more touristy parts.

We had great time, and it was the highlights of our entire trip for sure! Rusty was our guide and he was amazing! He went above and beyond for my son with autism to get every place and enjoy things which we truly appreciate! We had concerns before starting the tour since traveling with a young child with special needs, but thanks to Rusty, we did have the most memorable and amazing time over there in Nassau. We took beautiful family pics at each stop and enjoyed the stunning view of the island. We highly recommend him and Bowcar and will be back for sure!
