Absolutely horrible experience

Absolutely horrible experience, driver’s behavior,this driver also asked my son for lunch money for him self.the listing we booked also said bottle water included but never received any. The tour booked was misleading, was transportation, but we expect better service from drivers especially given how often we use viator. This is unacceptable and we demand full refund. We will be leaving a public review on the listing as well. Thank you for working with us to resolve this quickly. Also our driver took more money from us, then orphanage was charging.

Thank you for your review. The driver that's in question was already reprimanded for his behavior upon your first complaint and we ensure this never happens again in future. In the case of bottle water we had offered to stop and get some for you but you refused saying you were in a hurry. As for the entrance fee, you were given back the balance that remained and we still did a partial refund. The service clearly indicates the entrance fees are excluded and on the day of booking you also got a confirmation and a message informing you on the same to which you said you were okay with.

This is not a guided tour, it is simply a transfer service from your hotel to both of the animal centres, so I am only rating this experience as an expensive taxi service (and not our experience in the centres). The driver was not very helpful and was 17 minutes late to pick us up in the morning despite the fact that we are the only group who was attending the "tour" that day. I don't think the driver has added any value to our tour besides driving us there and back. We could have easily ordered a taxi from Bolt and booked the tickets in advance ourselves with a fraction of the cost that we have paid. However having said the above, I did have a great experience at the Giraffe Center and Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. The staff was great and informative, and I would definitely recommend people to visit.

Thank you , But you gave out a misleading information about the driver/ guide and i guess you should tell the true part of the story . you did not want to pay for the sheldrick entry fees which made the driver pay for you and you had problems refunding him. it is so unfortunate at times driver /guides meet difficult customer and handling them becomes an head ache, you are not a good person despite booking our tour sorry .

Helpful staff and interesting activities

Douglas has been very helpful, he assisted me with information even before the tour and ensuredv that i got to my hotel before 2. In fact the tour was not that long - around 3 hrs and a half for one participant. As for activities themselves, seeing the giraffes and feeding them was really impressive, but the elephants less so. The organization taking care of them was interesting tho.
