The giraffe centre in particular was a wonderful experience and the Karen Blixen Museum was very interesting

Dear Trevor, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are delighted to hear that you had such a wonderful experience at the Giraffe Centre and found the Karen Blixen Museum to be so interesting. We had booked an excursion with a French-speaking guide since our English is not good and we wanted explanations about the tour we were going to take and about the museum. Excursions in English were offered for less elsewhere, but we had opted for the one with a French-speaking guide. That very morning, there was no French-speaking guide at all. When I requested it after several exchanges with Viator, there was such a mess. We had to wait for the arrival of a nice young man who spoke a little French to him but who had no idea about the tours. He was absolutely not a guide. It is a shame to sell an excursion that one is not capable of providing as proposed on the site.

Response from Host, Sep 2026

Dear Maha, Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and please accept our sincere apologies for the experience you had during your Karen Blixen Museum and Giraffe Centre tour. We strive to provide professional, language-specific guided tours as promised, and we clearly fell short of our standards in this instance. We understand your frustration regarding the lack of a fluent guide and the communication breakdown that occurred on the morning of your trip. Your feedback regarding the quality of the service provided is being taken very seriously, and we are currently reviewing our operations and guide assignments to ensure this does not happen again.
