We had a wonderful experience. Tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Would recommend
Great overview of the island, but little information given on the history. Great photo ops though. Sadly going through old town is a bit of a forced march with no chance to stop in any of the shops. Make sure to leave yourself time after the tour of you want to shop. If you are beginning the tour at the cruise port you'll need to take a water taxi back there after the tour is over. No worries it is easy to do and is a fun ride.
This tour was at best, average. When I looked back to see how much I had paid for it, I can't imagine why it would cost as much as it did, considering, it was mostly quick stops at photo stops around the island.
At the end, we ended up at the Old Port. We were told to get off the bus, and did a walking "tour", but all it was a walk through the town to the windmills, and back down through a super crowded waterfront, where we were told we can take the water taxi back to our cruise ship or walk back. Just FYI in case you aren't expecting any extra fees.
Overall not bad, but minimal information, and felt more like a drive by sightseeing tour than anything. Not sure that I would recommend it to someone wanting more information/background. Great for people who want low key tour.

We regret to hear about your disappointment, but let us address all the concerns you raised:
1. Cost: Please note that Mykonos is one of the most expensive islands in Greece and a popular European travel destination. The tour cost of 100 EUR is considered affordable by local standards. Even when compared to similar guided tours in the most popular travel destinations within the US, this cost is still reasonable.
2. Windmills: It is correct that the windmills are one of the most popular and world-renowned sites of Mykonos, and they are explored in full on this tour.
3. Crowds: The crowds in Mykonos are primarily caused by the number of cruise ships docked at our port, with your fellow travelers. If you wish to avoid the crowds, we recommend visiting during the winter season.
4. Tour End Location: This tour ends at a spot where those who arrived by tenders can board them for return to their ships, while those who have their ships docked at the port can board shuttles for 2 EUR per person. Alternatively, those who wish to save the 2 EUR can simply enjoy a 5-minute walk.

Mykonos was wonderful! That was one of the highlights of the trip. Our guide was explaining the island and any sites for us as we were getting to out destinations. She loves Mykonos and so do we now.
What a beautiful way to see Mykonos with limited time. Our cruise ship was in port from 8:30am-6:30pm so we were able to walk around the city center a little beforehand (highly recommend). Our tour guide, Christina, was phenomenal as she explained all the historical and relative facts about the island. We stopped and spent time at all the top sites and more than enough time after to explore on our own. Be prepared for it to be very crowded if going during peak holiday.
We were a family group of 10 persons and we were supposed to get a private tour for us, but we didn't get it. The air conditioning of the bus was not working well; it was very hot inside the bus.

As you booked the standard version of this tour, it was designed for sharing with others. However, we do offer a private tour option at double the cost.
The air conditioning on our 3-year-old German bus was fully functional. However, due to the outside temperature exceeding 100°F on the day of your tour and the short distances between sites, it may not have felt as cold as the air conditioning back home in Canada.
When booking tours, we highly recommend paying close attention to the descriptions and names. Private tour options always include the word 'PRIVATE' in their tour name.

Sceneries and it has a little bit of everything for anyone. Definitely a must see area and to enjoy.
Great way to see many lovely sites on the island! This was our favourite shore excursion as it was so chill and relaxing. We ended the tour in Mykonos town with lots of time for a fantastic sea-side lunch and poking around the many shops.
Be careful before booking with this group. I noticed when I booked that it was stated they would work with you and you would get a refund if you couldn't attend due to issues that were because of your ship. That was absolutely NOT true. I notified the group early in the day that I would not be able to Tender until later than our tour. They stated that it would be fine even though it was obviously not enough time. When I contacted them again they offered a later time for the tour that I was unable to make but would not give a refund. Poor business practices and unprofessional response.

2) Unlike 117 of your fellow cruisers, who didn’t have any issues tendering ashore and joining us that day, you were unable to do so for an unknown reason
3) Despite our best efforts to accommodate your specific needs by offering a later tour start time that aligned perfectly with your ship's departure schedule, we regretfully note that you declined.
4) Such 'poor' business practices enable us to cater to 10-15 thousand cruise passengers per cruise season
5) Your refund request has been declined in strict accordance with TA cancellation policy.
We strongly encourage you to embrace honesty and take responsibility for your actions instead of placing blame on others for your mistakes or shortcomings. Adhering to these fundamental principles will greatly enhance your experiences both in travel and in life overall.

Our tour guide Andrea and how the staff at viator was able to help us book this tour at the last minute. We have been in a lot of tours Andrea made us feel very comfortable. Alot of information and funny. Loved her attention to detail. We were celebrating my oldest daughter college graduation and my youngest turning 21 . She made it very special and just wonderful experience for my family.. thank you
This was a big bus tour but we went to lots of places and had lots of spots to take photos. After arriving at the port, the guide took a walking tour of the city, most people didn’t stay with the guide which made the tour group approximately 25 people instead of 55. I would recommend this tour. NOTE: wear comfortable shoes, lots of walking

Andrea the guide was EXCELLENT!!
My low stars is due to the time change from 230pm to 430pm left NO time for shopping, dining, exploring after the tour.
Our ship docked at 2pm as scheduled.
The organization at the port by the tour operator was lack luster and not friendly. We started the tour 28minutes after the start time due to tour operator (NOT due to the guide).
The content of the tour was very good, a little rushed due to the time lost but Andrea made it WONDERFUL!

This adjustment was due to all earlier tours being fully booked, a result of the high number of ships in port that day. Limited guide availability and transportation constraints prevented us from scheduling an earlier departure.
Fortunately, with your ship departing at 11:00 PM, you were able to enjoy some additional time for shopping. We apologize if our port coordinators came across as unfriendly. While they are genuinely nice individuals, the demands of managing large crowds can sometimes necessitate a stricter demeanor to prevent chaos during the bustling tour departures and arrivals.

The beautiful sites and education Maria provided was top notch. She did a wonderful job keeping her group together
The guide was good and shared some history and tidbits about where we went and what we passed but I don't feel like the places we went to were very memorable or exciting. We went to the lighthouse Beautiful view from there but nothing else. We went to Ano Mera but it was more of a bathroom stop than anything to see. We then drove to a beach before heading back to the cruise port. We never did go to Little Venice or see the infamous windmills which were the 2 things I had wanted to see. Apparently those places are walkable from the port and in the future I would save my tour money and just walk to that area.

We all have unique preferences, and what may captivate one person could seem uninteresting to another. For instance, you may not recall much about your visit to Ano Mera except for the restroom stop, while some consider it the highlight of their Mykonos experience. It's unfortunate that you don't even remember visiting Little Venice. We apologize for not taking you to the restroom there; otherwise, this place might have left a lasting impression on you.
While it may not be as awe-inspiring as Venice in Italy or as grandiose as Paris, what we have here in Mykonos is something special that we cherish. It's true that you could save some money by merely glimpsing these sights from the window of your cruise ship or save even more by watching them from the comfort of your own sofa at home through your TV. However, there's a unique charm in experiencing these places firsthand, and we hope that one day you'll have the opportunity to fully appreciate the beauty Mykonos has to offer. Safe travels!
Amazing tour, Amazing guide and absolutely Amazing views!! Loved it. I cannot wait to come back!! Everything was perfect.
Not much to see, expensive but did get us around part of the island. I was disappointed. Guide did give us some info on what we were seeing. Just big bus and not much to see.

Andrea was fabulous. She took us to a variety of locations on the island in a comfortable bus suitable for the8 people on the tour. She was very knowledgeable about what we were seeing and doing
A great experience made better by the driver and guide Alex. His knowledge of the island was surpassed only by his driving skills. He took us to some of his favorite spots that would never be accessible by bus, and they quickly became our favorite spots. He took us through the entire island from one end to the other and from bottom to top. We even got to dip our toes in the water at a stop to a black sand beach.
Andrea lived in Greece for over 30years. She has extensive knowledge of Greek histories, culture, society, government, and the Cyladis Islands. This tour was the most well informed tour we had ever had as the knowledge and information was non stop.
Walking along the water and seeing the windmills and little Venice. We enjoyed the lighthouse area and Ana Mara area.
We had confirmation for 10:00 ! And Viator made us do 2;30pm. Waited a half day. Very disappointed We called after we waited for hour. Shoukd have helped us more!

Thank you for providing your feedback. The issue with shared tours is that in the event we don't meet the minimum participant requirement for an early departure, we can offer only two options:
1) Switch to the 2:30 departure time.
2) Cancel your booking and provide a refund.
In your case, you selected the second option, and it's important to clarify that this choice was entirely yours. We did not compel you to make this decision. If you preferred not to participate but cancel, you had a 48-hour window to reschedule for any other available tour. We suspect that the source of your disappointment may not be related to the tour itself, as it has received many glowing reviews from the same group. Rather, it seems that you attempted to use the time swap as a means to obtain a refund, a request that Viator repeatedly denied.

We paid $100 ea to walk around town to see shops and Little Venice….. we did this bc they did not want us waiting for LATE folks to arrive. I will never use this company again. You would think with all their experience they would be better at juggling people. Oct is low season and it was not organized. We did not complete the tour….. we left!!!

We regret that you decided not to complete the tour due to the delayed arrival of your oversleeping friends who failed to join within the first 15 minutes from the tour's scheduled start time. Since this was not a private but a shared tour, we could not wait for longer, because all the other tour participants preferred not to waste their limited time in Mykonos waiting for those who did not consider their fellow travelers. By leaving early, you missed the most captivating segment of the tour, depriving yourselves of unforgettable memories. Contrary to your expectations, October is not considered the low season in Greece; in fact, it tends to be twice as busy as August. We hope you have safe and enjoyable travels!
The views were my favourite. The Tour Guide was very knowledgeable and shared many facts about Mykonos.
I highly recommend this half day tour of the island of Mykonos. Our knowledgible guide provided the history of the island while we were taken to many must see sights with spectacular views. The trip ended in Little Venice, which was a short walk from the windmills, another must see. This tour is a great option for the first part of the day, then you can finish your day at the shops and restaurants of Little Venice.
Don’t waste your money. You can do this tour on your own. The only favorite part was the Bakery, which is by the shopping off the port.

We toured most of the island - from the lighthouse to the beaches to Ano Mera, a small quaint village. We then returned to the area by the port. The biggest disappointment of my trip was not being able to see the area of the port, in particular, the windmills. We had lost time by leaving late and probably spending too much time elsewhere. Organization was poor gathering the group. The tour guide was very knowledgeable but could have cut some stories short so we could have moved on. My husband took a picture of the mural of the windmills at the port and that was as close as I got.
