Mykonos tour

Our tour guide was great: informative, funny and pivoted well when needed when it started to rain. Sites are cool to see… the lighthouse, windmills, beaches (their clear waters), churches and “town square”. For the safety of the tourists I appreciated roll call when reboarding at each stop. Thanks!

Great tour through Mykonos. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area. We were able to take amazing pictures with her guidance through the region. She made recommendations for the best shopping in the village. I thoroughly enjoyed the visit to Mykonos due to the guidance of the tour guide…she was amazing!!

WE loved Mykonos We highly recommend this tour and our guide Maria. The tour included a visit to Little Venice and some great spots for photos. We also enjoyed some local cuisine at a seaside tavern. Maria was great and gave us not only much history but also plenty of time to explore the island.

Sadly, tour cancelled when ship couldn't make port

This tour was cancelled when Royal Caribbean Voyager of the Sea could not make port due to high winds and heavy seas against the seawall. Ship's Captain stated the Melkonian Port Captain closed the port and declared it too unsafe to dock the ship. Still awaiting refund as this writing.

Very much like herding cats. People late back on the bus at every stop - and a 15 min delay because people changed seats from front to back and were “lost.” Just not a well organized process.

It's inappropriate to compare people to cats, and it's important to remember that group tours always depend on the pace of the slowest senior member. If waiting for others is not to your liking, we recommend considering private tours instead. Safe travels.

This wasn’t the best Viator tour I have been on. I use Viator frequently and was disappointed with this tour. Normally, the Viator tours are smaller groups, no more than 15 to 20. It wasn’t clear in the tour details that this was not a small group tour. We knew we were in trouble when we joined 60+ other people on a big coach bus. The communications before the tour asked everyone to be on time, but there were people late, arriving to the tour. With a big bus it was very hard to navigate around the tiny streets of Mykonos. Due to the large group we waited a lot for people to get back on the bus at the various stops. The tour doesn’t end back at the cruise ship location. You make your way back to the cruise ship via shuttle bus or via water taxi. Tour also includes a walking tour, which wasn’t particularly clear in the tour details. The upside the tour guide was very friendly and energetic and was very knowledgeable.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear the tour did not fully meet your expectations. Let me address your concerns: 1. Group Size: Our tours are not advertised as private or semi-private. Typically, we use 20-seater minibuses, but on some busier days when multiple ships arrive, we employ larger, modern German coach buses. Your group did not have 60+ but 36 members seated in a comfy 54-seater Setra bus, leaving 18 seats unoccupied to ensure ample space and comfort for all our guests. We never pack our busses full even on the busiest days. 2. Navigation: it was smoothly managed by our experienced driver, Nicolas, who is as familiar with the local roads as with his own hands. 3. Waiting for Others: We appreciate your patience in waiting an extra 6 minutes for late participants. The latecomers - your fellow cruisers apologized, and we extended the tour duration to make up for the time lost. As for senior participants who sometimes need few more min to get back to their bus, for those who prefer not to wait for them, we recommend considering booking private vs shared tours. 4. Drop off: water transportation via tender is offered by the cruise lines and is not part of our tour services. Our tour ends at the pier to ensure convenient access for all travelers: guests who arrived by tender can easily return to their tenders, and those whose ships were docked can access port shuttles. 5. Tour Format: Indeed, this is not a hop-on-hop-off bus tour. Our stops are planned for exploring sites on foot accompanied by our fully licensed, knowledgeable guides. We are grateful for your positive comments about the guide, at least one aspect of your tour that you enjoyed. Wishing you safe travels!
