I booked this tour for three of us who are seniors with a sense of adventure. It was our first private tour on our cruise trip, and I wanted to be sure we knew where to meet our tour guide. I was told to meet our guide from GidOman tours right outside of the Port gate. There were many taxi drivers there and I was concerned I would miss our tour guide, but one guide was there who worked for Gidoman and saw my ticket. He made a call to our guide who came right away to pick us up. While we waited, a taxi driver came over and told us that this was the safest place for women so we did not have to worry about anything! Everyone was so friendly that we knew we were in good hands. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and took us to all the sights listed in the itinerary. Highlights were the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and the Royal Opera House. We paid to have a tour of the Opera House and it was worth every penny! We chose not to climb the stairs leading to the other side of the Mutrah Fort, but I would have if I was younger. The Mutrah Souq provided us with some shopping and bargaining experiences. All in all, I highly recommended this tour!

Jamal our guide was fantastic! Very friendly and knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble. Major bonus that he knows all the best photo spots and took most of them for me! Me, my wife and son really enjoyed the tour and highly recommend it as a comfortable and informative way to see the highlights of Muscat!

My first time in Muscat and Oman this tour gave me an idea what's around and what to see. Our tourguide Mahmood was super nice, friendly and answered all the questions I had about the culture, customes etc. I was extremely impressed by the fact, that not just that I got picked up at my hotel but also dropped off. Amazing and thank you !!!
I also loved the option and choice of seeing the fort or the market. Again Mahmood accomodated all our requests :)

The Grand Mosque was the highlight of the tour. Definite must do. Our guide guide was good with interesting information. Mutrah souq we were explored by ourselves or you could sit it out on the Cornish and watch the world go by.

This tour is interesting both in terms of history and also architecture.
I did this tour with my family and our local guide was Jamal. He took us to the most important places in Muscat and explained all the history behind it.
Jamal is a likeable, knowledgable and funny person. He also knows the best spots to take pictures. He's the goat. We enjoyed the tour so much more because of him. 10/10 guide. Thank you Jamal!

We were a family of five from the UK and booked this half day city tour. I say half day, our tour guide Jamal was so accommodating and we ran over time. He was so knowlegeable, we visited the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque,Souq, sweet shop, Royal Palace, Museum and Royal Opera House. He picked us up from the hotel and we he was so relaxed throughout, i was more aware of the ti.e than he was. In the museum he arranged for us to have s mueseum worker tell us about one exhibition. The Mosque was our fave, ladies you will need to cover up for the Mosque...long trousers, long sleeves and headscarf. Jamal also gave us a couple of restaurant reccommendations. We would definitely recommend this tour and Jamal to you warmly .
